MAC's Cat 6 x 400g

I think it was the blueberries and cranberries that put them off.

I couldn't find a cat who would eat this. It may have been down to the flavour, Chicken and Salmon - it had some banana added for some reason, maybe this is why my cats hated it! I really wanted them to like this, maybe others will have better luck with another flavour.

In recent months, unfortunately, it's been rejected more and more often. It often smells a bit strange too, and the cans are damaged. It's a shame—I'll finish up what I have left and then I'll have to look for alternatives.

The quality has really gone downhill over the past six months. You can see it, and above all, you can smell it too. It now has a slight odour of its own (it used to be neutral) and starts to stink very quickly. My tomcat often leaves some behind these days or doesn’t touch it at all. A minor issue, but with the last three bulk orders, almost all the tins were dented in some way. That really shouldn’t happen. We’re going to try the smaller tins for now. Otherwise, we’ll have to switch brands.

But after a month, they only eat it reluctantly. Even though I always switch up the flavours. The ingredients are good though, and both of them have lovely coats ☺️ Unfortunately, I have to keep looking now.

So far, this was my cats’ favorite food, but they stopped eating it when we got a batch with the new packaging. The cans were a slightly lighter green. Apparently, they changed not just the design but also the recipe. Recently, I ordered again and got cans with the old design, and my cats immediately started eating it eagerly, just like before. Now I’m afraid to order again because I don’t know which batch will arrive… I hope they realized they made a mistake and went back to the old recipe…
