Over the last year product quality has dropped and there is a lot more water in it than there was previously. I purchased this previously as I wanted a better quality food than the bigger brands supplied and this WAS a good product, company denies lowering the quality but I am not the only one mentioning this.

I want to find a good quality cat food that my cat likes and is in a tin not pouches . Sadly it’s not Applaws , after a bit of encouragement my cat was prepared to swap to this food and seemed to enjoy it but it gave him such an upset tummy we’ve had to switch back to his old food .

Our cats love Applaws, but the water content just seems to go up and up! We measure our cats food out and once when we had a bowl on the scale I poured the liquid out into it and it measured just under half the weight of the tin, If I'd squeezed the chicken at all I'm sure it would have taken it well over half the weight!. It's a shame Applaws feel they have to make their profit in this way as our cats really like it.

FOR OVER 2 YEARS I HAVE BOUGHT THIS FOOD FOR MY EXOTIC BOY GARFIELD AND WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE TINS FULL OF LOVELY CHICKEN BREAST. RE- ORDERED AGAIN AND OH WHAT A CHANGE, THE TIN IS NO LONGER FULL OF CHICKEN BUT A MIXTURE CONTAINING WHAT APPEARS TO BE RICE AND LIQUID AND MUCH LESS CHICKEN. THE NICE PEOPLE AT ZOOPLUS ADVISED ME OF A CHANGE OF RECIPE AND NOT FOR THE BETTER I AM SURE.THAT WILL BE MY LAST PURCHASE OF THIS FOOD AND WILL NOW SOURCE AN ALTERNATIVE, I AM MORE THAN WILLING TO PAY MORE FOR GOOD FOOD BUT NOT THIS BRAND NOW.
