Not recommended
My vet recommended this food to me.
I'm disappointed – my dog is hungry all day, and during every walk, she produces heaps of crumbly poo.
She only eats it if I mix it with cottage cheese. I bought 6kg but won’t be feeding her the rest. I’d rather donate it.

What happened to this food?
My chocolate Labrador has been eating this for a few years, and loved it......until it was reformulated and now she won’t eat it at all. It has to be bad for a Choc Lab not to eat it! A complete waste of over £50.

Made my mini-dachshund very ill!
My mini-dachshund was happy on the previous version of this, but reacted badly to the newer formula. At first he was reluctant to eat it, then went on hunger strike completely. We had to add gravy or sauce, etc. just to get him to eat it, which ended up causing him to put on more weight, his coat went dull and he was lazy and lethargic. i switched him to RC's mini lightweight care and within three weeks he lost a kilo in weight and was back to his old happy bouncy self!

worst food ever
our Golden Retriever is 8 years old and has never had a digestive problem until we put him on this food and has
upset him very badly. A total waste of money for us.

Obesity management was much better.
My Goldi lost 10 kg with Obesity Management. It was just a matter of maintaining the weight after that. Now I was recommended the alternative product, but I’m absolutely not happy with the result of what comes out the other end. The consistency is like my dog has eaten too many bones (crumbly) and it’s also really light in colour. We’ve now switched to another brand – but we really miss the old food (Obesity Management) a lot.

Such a shame
My dog has been on this food for over 4 years. Such a shame they had to change the formula a few months ago and it sadly no longer suits her. Won't be ordering it again. Why must they mess with tried and tested formulas? So annoying.

Thanks to Royal Canin, my dog ended up with gastritis.
At first, we had no problems; the dog ate the food. Then the food was changed, and my dog didn’t like it as much as before. Mixing in some wet food or yoghurt didn’t help—he ate the wet food but not the dry food. And then it started... Every day, he vomited multiple times. My vet diagnosed gastritis, and ever since my dog stopped getting this awful dry food, he’s been doing better again. Never again Royal Canin.

Lab refused to eat new formula!
My labrador enjoyed the old version called ‘obesity management’ and it kept his weight down. Have tried new formula which he reacted as if he had some discomfort and then he refused to eat it. Disappointed.

Change in formula bad
Have used this product over a number of years for my lab. No problems. New formula poor dog needs to poo 4 times a day and its very dry and crumbly. Seems to be very unexpected so he is pooing in the house. He gets very upset. Now soak for an hour so when processed does hold together. Will not be buying again.

Changed formula in product
I have to agree with the reviews I've read, had the new product, been using satiety for the last 2 years, our puggle has lost weight, but she really doesn't like this new formula, very disappointed, phoned royal canin customer service up and told them so.

Dry food
I always used the Royal Canin Obesity dp34 dry food, which my dog absolutely loved.
Unfortunately, it’s no longer available, and he won’t touch the new Satiety Weight Management.
I ordered a 6 kg bag, and now I might as well wear it around my neck!

DISAPPOINTED
Have fed my 2 labs on this for a long time as recommended by my vet all has been good up until the change in the last bag. Now the eldest has done nothing but drink and of course wee! I’m looking into a new brand james well beloved senior seems to be a good one to try so if all the drinking changes once she is on it then I will put it down to the change in formula if not we will be off to the vets!

Weight gain instead of reduction
My terrier has been eating this food for 2.5 months now – instead of losing weight, he’s gained another 2 kg. The food contains too much grain.
