Patience is a virtue!
Super happy with the move from kibble to cold pressed food of this quality. On the initial change over some of my dogs were gagging and thirsty (as per some negative reviews) but I bared with it, soaked the food more until this stopped which it did for all but one dog. She only weight 12kg so I think maybe the food is too big for her even though she ate it every meal. I have considered breaking her bits up and retrying her. The other 5 dogs are looking great, all have waistline, great stools.

thirsty
I tried this while looking for a cheaper alternative to lilys kitchen for my GSD X Malamute, he enjoyed it but it gave him a RAGING THIRST, we had serveral accidents overnight after not having one for 4 3/4 years...it seems he is not alone, great shame.

Excellent food
I alternate between this and Markus Muelle for my dry food, I'll only feed cold pressed and raw. This provides a change of flavour and the shape of the nuggets makes it good for treats too.
I have a working dog who has been fed this diet for 5 years now and is very fit and healthy as a result.

Good stuff 🐾🐾🐾🐾👍
Over the past year I've been giving this and Markus M to our German shepherds mixed in with some dry grain free kibble for a balance and some days they have it on its own and we have perfect whoopsies and clean bowls.ours also have some meaty toppers added in the grain free forthglade and this added to the pellet isn't essential its just that our boy needs to gain a few kilos and our girl cannot be left out so they both enjoy their meal times and our zooplus orders always arrives in good time and condition.
I'm pleased with the qualities of our dog food from Germany its got very good ethics too so I would highly recommend .

Changed my dog's life
My Rhodesian Ridgeback suffered terribly with a poor digestive system for a couple of years, during which many Vet visits were necessary in order to determine the cause and cure. We tried all manner of diets and all manner of digestion drugs but nothing helped. The poor lad continued having very regular bouts of diarrhoea, lying down all day feeling weary, and vomiting in every room in the house. Then we thought we would try grain-free kibble, and Lukullus Charolais Beef & Trout looked tempting, even to us! I could not believe the result .. instantly Max transformed into a normal, bouncy, happy dog. It was like switching on a light. Since he started the grain-free meals he has not needed any vet visits (apart from the annual MOT/boosters of course) and the vet says that he is in remarkably good health. I must also mention that Max absolutely loves the food, as does every dog we meet and treat.

Excellent quality
I researched dry food options and liked the idea of cold pressed foods. Choices are limited and I use both this and Markus Mueller too for a bit of variety. Lukullus is less crumbly than the MM, the ingredients are similar. My dog works hard ans looks great on his diet. The only downside is the quantity you feed always looks like a really meagre offering but just goes to show the quality isn't bulked out with rubbish.

First time
2 Labradors. Both had upset stomachs, loose vowel movements one very hyperactive and the other raging thirst. 10kg left but wouldn't give it to another dog owner. Usual dog food eukanuba but have used royal canin and James wellbeloved. Problems ceased when fed eukanuba again.

My lanky doodle really fell on his four feet with this stuff
Thank goodness I did a bit of homework (at the brilliant allaboutdogfood.co.uk web site) when Archibald got terminally bored with the Burns he'd been reared on.
This Lukullis is everything the more positive and informative reviews say it is.
For starters you only have to see and smell the stuff to know it's good. One of the key factors to this is the fact that there's no grain in it and it's very low in carbo-hydrates, which I believe dogs have difficulty assimilating. And I imagine that as the food is cold-pressed rather than cooked into submission, this can only be good.
Being big and lanky and a bit ungainly in his gait, Archibald's normal lope wasn't all it could be, on a diet of overpriced and overrated product, which really fell short nutrition-wise. But a few weeks in with Lukullis and he has a real bounce and glide to his step now.
His poos are utter text book now, and his waist is really tapering well, without any weight loss. All of which amounts to persuasive evidence of the quality of this stuff.
It is clear to me that Lukullis is responsible for a big uplift in Archie's health and mood lately. No bloat, no excessive waste, full throttle appetite back again, more calm and level headed despite better energy levels (he gets a lot of exercise).... and demonstrative in his appreciation for the stuff.
Quote me on this: you will end up with a happier, healthier dog if you give them Lukullis.
I am looking forward to trying out the new Barbary Duck and Lamb variety on Archie next, having indulged him with the Charolais Beef & Trout variety.
Happy punter, happy dood.

Five Star dining for dogs
Lukullus Charolais Beef & Trout has got to be 5* Hotel dining for our dogs. My Rideback loves it above all others, and the dogs in the village are all glad to take a treat off me. My dog suffered from a digestion problem which has taken a couple of years of varying diets to sort out. Happily, since trying grain-free, his problems have disappeared.

Lukullus Charolais Beef & Trout
My dogs love this food and look really well on it. I have studied canine nutrition and know that the ingredients in this food are really good for your dog. The price is also extremely good value for money. I highly recommend this food to my clients.

Good Quality
My golden retriever loves the food and has not experienced any 'extra poo issues'. It seems that Lukullus has actually reduced the quantity and that's positive. I alternate with a different cold pressed food and Ben is thriving. His coat is shiny and healthy and he is full of energy.

Top quality
My 26kg highly energetic dog thrives on this food and I am content that I am doing the best for her by feeding it. I was really disappointed to see that, in the newest bag, the pellets are much smaller than when I first began buying this. The lovely big chunky pieces used to mean that my dog didn't bolt her food and had to bite bits of it which was good for her teeth and gave more substance to her mealtimes. So that's a shame, but still good ingredients and none of the rubbish ones you see in some dogfoods.

Finally something that doesn't end up in the bin!!
I have a fussy 15 month old Border Collie, who was fed up of his previous food, which he would refuse to eat! It was a good quality food (Arden Grange) but he just wasn't interested. Bought the trial size packs to give him some variety, and it was gone in seconds. He seems to be in a better mood, and his tummy is fine (he's prone to a sensitive tum). The pellets are harder but he liked having a good crunch! Very satisfied. Will buy the 15kg packs in future. Thanks zooplus for stocking such a great range.

yummy
My apsos, Shih tzu and Chihuahua loved both flavours. They are fed on grain free wet food. This is the first dried food they have eaten with relish. I bought these trial packs to use as treats, but am considering making this their main meal.

Good food. Reasonable price
Concerned about the reviews on increased poop I mix this food with the chicken Orijen that my cocker was previously on. Initially she would pick all the Lukullus out of her bowl and leave the Orijen. She eats it all now, loves it and seems happy and well. Stools maybe a tad larger. The kibble is of various sizes and square shaped with two rough edges which might be a problem for smaller dogs that swallow food without chewing. Its helped stop my dog from eating too fast as she now crunches it first. Feeding guidelines puts a small amount in her bowl. Difficult to know if this is enough as she would eat all day long if she could! Still on our first sack but so far I would recommend.

Shiniest coat
My lab does have a very soft shiny coat, but this food seems to keep it in top condition. He's also very laid back contrary to most chocolate owners experience, I don't know if the food helps but I like the no additives. I also like that a small scoop twice a day is sufficient, he's just the right weight and no huge poos so not much wastage.!

Sensitive Tummy - Problem Solved
My Boston Terrier loves this food and after trying several premium dry foods this seems to be the one that has sorted out his "jogger's trots", he now produces a poo that can be bagged without having to wipe it up! He loves both varieties. It is quite hard and has fairly large pieces but he adapted quickly, we even use it for training treats. 10/10.

Great food
Our Border collie is a fussy eater, and having tried her on numerous dry dog foods, (Arden Grange, JWB, CSJ etc.) I decided to try this one, based on the nutritional values.
We are now on our second 15 kilos with her and she so far shows no sign of going off this food. It's actually more of a problem to make sure she doesn't eat too much.
I have also noticed that, since being on this food, she has started to chunk out, something she was struggling to do on other foods.

really happy
My dog loves this food. When feeding time comes around, she can barely contain herself. So far, she's having no digestive problems, no bloating, no diarrhea.

Simply the best
My dog loves both varieties of Lukullus and he's doing great on them. I tried him on Markus Muhle and Luposan but they cannot compare to this food. I would love to see more varieties like fish and lamb but, well, you don't always get what you want, do you?
