Hi, I have an 8 year old Labrador who, surprisingly, is fussy with what he eats. I am usually ok if I buy chicken based food so I thought this new 75% chicken food would be ideal (he loves real roast chicken). Unfortunately he took one sniff and walked away. Not even an attempt. It is strange that he had such a strong reaction not to at least try it. All other dogs may love it so don't let this instance put you off, but maybe worth trying a very small bag just in case. The kibble is very, very small (he usually likes a small kibble). I have just done a taste test with my other Labrador who is VERY greedy. I put Hills Science Chicken Light in one bowl and some Applaws in the other. I allowed him to sniff first before placing down. He went for the Applaws first but then switched to the Hills and returned to the Applaws once the Hills was finished. I repeated the experiment. I let him sniff both bowls first then placed them down. He went straight for the Hills and once finsihed, ate the Applaws. I shall stick with James Well Beloved Chicken flavour for my fussy Labrador. He likes that one.
