Tripe
Our dog isn’t picky and usually loves eating green tripe, but with this tripe, he regularly leaves pieces behind and eats it very reluctantly... and we still have four bags of it left :-((

Quality control
Recently, the quality of the product has significantly declined. Some pieces are quite large, often with a thick layer of fat. This didn’t happen with previous deliveries.

Too large pieces
Unfortunately, the quality has really gone downhill. The pieces are getting bigger and bigger and are hardly usable. For that reason, I won’t be buying or recommending this product for the time being.

Tripe delivery
I’ve noticed over several deliveries now that the quality of the tripe pieces was sometimes very small, and some didn’t smell pleasant. My dog refused to eat a few of the pieces.

Thirst......
I don’t know why, but one of my dogs, who usually has no issues with anything, got really thirsty after eating this tripe. That’s never happened with any other chew before. It’s a bit annoying having to constantly take the dog out to pee after they’ve had it.

Old and Dry
The last bag I bought were very old and dry. Not up to Zooplus's normal high standards

Strange...
My dog absolutely loves tripe! But she has absolutely no interest in this one! On top of that, most of the pieces are so, so small. Maybe 3cm long and about 1cm wide. Perhaps it’s the sharp smell that’s putting her off, as she doesn’t seem very keen. I’m only familiar with a musty smell, not a sharp one.

The pieces are too thick for me.
Unlike some other reviews that criticise the pieces for being too small, my two dogs won’t accept the thick pieces. One of them is still a puppy (4.5 months old), though he’s from a large breed (Bouvier) and has already managed to chew through big chunks and calf bones, so he’s capable of it. But just like the fully grown Briard, he prefers the thinner, crunchier pieces. Maybe they’re spoiled, but that can’t be the only reason—they come running over excitedly at first, but then back away again. And for us humans, the smell is absolutely unbearable, like manure from a field... I’m not exaggerating! Even if they DID love it, no one could stand the stench. I only tried it because so many rave about tripe, but this stuff is definitely not for us—there’s still about a third of it lying around. Sorry, but from me AND MY DOGS, it’s a no-go.
