The claws of my two dogs (medium-sized and large) always splinter easily; I find the blades too thick, they pinch the claws more than they cut them. That's why I'm back to using my "old" claw scissors – it's just less stressful for me and the dogs. Next time, I'll buy a different pair of scissors.

I'm not thrilled with this product. The claws splinter easily, and it doesn't cut through like butter. Trimming the tips of my cat's claws hurts her, no matter how thin they are. This pair of scissors is probably more suitable for dogs.
