This grooming tool has a mixed reception. Some users are amazed by its effectiveness in removing fur, praising its ability to lighten coats and help with shedding. However, others warn about its sharpness and potential to damage the coat or cause injuries if not used carefully. It's not suitable for all fur types, especially long-haired pets. Overall, while it works well for some, caution and proper handling are crucial.
Effectively removes fur and undercoat.
Helps lighten the coat and make it more comfortable for pets in warm weather.
Highly recommended by users for its efficiency compared to other brushes.
Sharp prongs can cause injury if not used carefully.
Not suitable for all fur types, particularly long-haired pets.

Too sharp edges
The grooming tool serves its purpose – it removes a lot of undercoat brilliantly. However, the thing has such sharp edges/teeth that I ended up cutting myself and slightly injuring my dog as well.

Use sparingly!
My Border Collie sheds her fur during the coat change faster than you can vacuum, so the universal grooming tool is naturally very handy. You can remove quite a lot of fur in a short time without causing the dog much discomfort. BUT, because the tool has blades, it also pulls out fur that isn’t loose, and you quickly end up with an unpleasant result. The topcoat just doesn’t look nice anymore :(

Mixed feelings
I bought the grooming rake for our dogs (Leonberger, Newfoundland) based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, the rake's blades are far too short, they don’t really get through the thick fur, it tugs and is uncomfortable for the dogs. However, it works phenomenally on our Persian cat – the undercoat just flies off. And all relatively stress-free and gentle. So at least the purchase wasn’t a complete flop.

Not so good for long hair.
I have a Border Collie/Aussie with a long coat. She feels uncomfortable with it. It pulls a bit too much. On the other hand, our Shetland pony enjoys the treatment with it. Brilliant!
For long-haired coats, the Furmaster is better.

Not suitable for long-haired dogs
For our Appenzeller mix, it was great – you’re just amazed at what comes out. With the Border/Aussie, it only tugged a bit. She didn’t like it at all.
As I said, for dogs with straight hair, it’s simply brilliant.

It's alright ...
Unfortunately, I can't share the enthusiasm of the previous reviewers. While the grooming tools do remove quite a bit of undercoat, neither quick/firm strokes nor slow ones are liked by my dog (Tervueren mix, long-haired) – it seems to pull quite a bit. And heaven forbid you get caught on a knot... Since the grooming tools also cut, it can happen that the long hair ends up looking rather scruffy afterwards – especially on the tail. But according to the description, the grooming tools aren't intended for regular brushing anyway.

Almost perfect!
I ordered the smaller grooming brush for my Husky mix female dog, and it really does a better job of removing excess undercoat than my old brush. The only downside is that her fur isn’t as super soft as it was before, which really bothers me. Let’s see, maybe I’ll come up with a solution for that. Otherwise, it’s definitely the right choice if you want to free your dog from the annoying undercoat, especially in summer.
