Large, sturdy, indestructible. I think we’ll have this scratching post forever. Yes, the sisal smelled like vinegar for a month – maybe it didn’t help that it was near our bed. But now the smell is gone, and the cats can finally stretch and sharpen their claws.

I have two Sphynx cats who are very picky; they already wanted to climb the trunk while I was assembling it...

At first, I had a smaller scratching post for my first kitty until 2003, which was fine for the little one. Then her successor, our big tomcat, moved in and started using the small one too... I often had to jump up and hold the thing steady for him until I’d had enough. That’s when I discovered this XXL scratching post here and ordered it straight away—that was back in May 2015. Both Benji and I are thrilled with it, and soon he’ll need a new one again after 4 years. Always happy to buy it again 😺

If you have a heavy base, meaning a heavy foot, and the trunk is about 50 cm in diameter and around 1.20 m high, then this is perfect for you... There’s absolutely nothing to complain about... The base was also fixed with a thick screw and a washer... Highly recommended!

We previously had the smaller version of the scratching post. For two years, it was thoroughly used and loved by our three Raggies. Now it's worn out, so we decided to get the larger one. As soon as it was unpacked and set up, all three were on it straight away. Brilliant! Very sturdy, excellently made.

Assembly was super easy, very sturdy and simply beautiful. In beige, it actually matches any interior. My cat immediately took to it and is now testing her way upwards. My little rascal is thoroughly checking its stability.

I have two Maine Coon/Ragdoll cross brothers - they’re big cats. This is the first scratching post I have found which is heavy and sturdy enough to take the weight of a 10kg cat climbing his way up it without it wobbling precariously. Sure it’s big, but not as intrusive as a full cat gym. My boys got straight on it. Brilliant!

Pure enthusiasm :) Really sturdy. Our two tomcats love jumping on it and playing around like crazy. Thanks to the super large base plate and the big/thick post, absolutely nothing happens. Our two couldn’t even wait for us to screw the post onto the base plate. On top of all that, the item looks visually appealing too. I’d buy it again any time!

This scratching post makes our cats very happy. It’s very sturdy, the perfect size, and extremely durable. The cats can stretch out nicely and have a good stretch! I can only highly recommend buying it.

Be aware this is huge and will take over your room - in our house we call it "The Shard" after the London skyscraper! Someone new walked in and asked if we had a tiger or a cat! However, its great quality and our cat loves it and its her house so what the hell...

Arrived today and my house mice are absolutely thrilled. I have two European Shorthairs and a Norwegian Forest Cat, and the base is really sturdy with the bottom plate.

Was really pleased with this at first as it was nice and tall and seemed really sturday. Unfortunately my small Siamese cat has already torn the sisal covering apart after less than a year so not as strong as it looks.

I ordered the scratching post a few days ago as a backup (for a currently identical model from another manufacturer) when it was still €10 more expensive. I’m very positively surprised by the quality (at this price!), 1 cm thick sisal, sturdy base plate, stability even for boisterous, fast-moving large cats weighing 6 kilos or more, and no chemical smell. However, I’ll be removing the toy for safety reasons (risk of cats getting their claws caught in it when no one is home).

It arrived today, and my two cats – a 1 1/2-year-old Bengal mix and a 12-week-old Maine Coon – immediately claimed it for themselves.
