Bought for a neblung (very big, very fluffy, huge personality) who moved in but loved the garden and to be outside. Worth the cost as he used it pretty much every day and slept in the wicker basket during the summer. Depending on the season, it was a different area of the basket. It needs a flat area to be on; grass may be too rocky but concrete/stone is perfect. It's also heavy, which means that it won't be knocked over by a bounding cat, but can be tricky to move.

We've had the scratching post out on the balcony exposed to wind and weather for over 10 years now. The cats love using it for sleeping and observing, but hardly ever for scratching. The UV light caused the dark nylon fabric to become slightly blotchy after a few years, then uneven patches appeared in the most exposed areas, and eventually, it developed tears. So, I’ve now mostly removed it with a cutter and painted the chipboard underneath with weatherproof paint. Brilliant!

We've had it on the rooftop terrace for 3 1/2 years now, through all kinds of weather. After cleaning it in spring, it looks as good as new. The cats absolutely love it. Thanks to its weight, it stays perfectly stable even during storms. Being on a rooftop terrace and in a corner house, we experience very strong weather conditions. But the scratching post handles it all without any issues!

We've had the scratching post on the balcony for two years now and wouldn't want to be without it. As soon as the balcony door opens, my cats are already sitting on the scratching post. I find it well-made and weatherproof. We clean and maintain it regularly so that our cats can enjoy it for many more years to come.

My three cats love it!! Very sturdy and perfect quality! The assembly instructions are a bit sparse, but it's really easy to put together! Definitely recommend buying!

Really great tree

After googling some very beautiful and pricey solid wood cat trees, I decided on this one, which I had already admired at our animal shelter. As suggested, I first laid out the cat tree parts in an organised way—there are long and short screws! I pre-attached the corresponding baskets to the posts level by level and screwed them in completely at the bottom. The highest basket can be mounted on the left or right. 🐱🐱🐈👍

The scratching post has absolutely no smell. It was accepted immediately, and they love it. Both the two-legged and four-legged members of the household are happy. The price is unbeatable! Haven’t found it cheaper anywhere else. Unfortunately, the assembly instructions are more than useless. But I was prepared thanks to earlier comments, so I took my time to study the instructions calmly and figured out the how-where-what-etc. It took us about an hour with two people to set up the scratching post. You definitely need two people for the assembly. Conclusion: Awesome piece! Can wholeheartedly recommend it! I’d buy it again anytime!

The tree is super sturdy, gets loads of use, and is absolutely weatherproof. Mine is in the shade and partially covered, though. I found the assembly really straightforward – you just have to follow the instructions carefully, and then it’ll be done in about 20 minutes (I did it on my own). One small downside is that the cushion in the hollow just sits there and flies off in the wind. A way to secure it would be helpful; I used double-sided tape to fix it.

I have 7 Maine Coons and they all love this cat tree. I have it in the garden in the cat enclosure and it's always popular with the cats who often race to get to the best spots. I didn't find it too difficult to put together and I managed it without losing my temper once. I think it's a bit pricey but I got it in the sale which was much better. Hopefully it will last as it seems sturdy but with 7 large cats always on it, only time will tell.

The cats were absolutely thrilled with the outdoor scratching post, and Minou immediately claimed it as her own. Some reviews mentioned that the scratching post was difficult to assemble. We were a team of two and took our time with it. It was fully assembled within 45 minutes. I found it no harder or easier to put together than any other scratching post of this size. I can wholeheartedly recommend it. One tip I’d like to share: while the scratching post is weatherproof, I’d suggest...

Mine lives in our outdoor cat run We currently have 5 Egyptian Maus who are not permitted ro roam. They spend the majority if milder days outside however and use this cat tree consistently, it is their first choice when they go out and they ar on it all day They use it to the extent I am waiting for them to come back into stock so I can purchase a second one, we are putting together a stud house and second larger run and want the second cat tree for our stud boy to contribute to enriching his life as well as adding to his comfort We had no issue with constructing ours or the supplied fittings We are very pleased with this product and recommend without reservation

Looks very good and also seems very sturdy thanks to the heavy base plate. However, I made two out of it because it was too tall for me (the cats were too close to the cat net), and I had an extra wooden base plate. The cats like it – now we’ll just have to see if the scratching post is really weatherproof! It’s already survived one rain without any damage!

The ultimate "real-life scratching post." Big and sturdy, indestructible, easy to clean and disinfect. After setting it up, it was occupied by 6-9 cats within about an hour. Loud purring. Secured with the wall mount for £5.99 – I have heavy pets... Fantastic tree – more to come soon!

The scratching post is in the garden and is used a lot by our two cats. Sometimes they play wildly on it, other times they relax and sunbathe. Since it’s in a sheltered spot, I’ve added cosy blankets and soft baskets to the (waterproof) cushions. Very good quality. It withstands wild climbing sessions. I would order it again, even though the price initially seemed high to me. Fast delivery, as always great service from Zooplus!

A must-have for every cat (or even two who can use it too). It’s sturdy and offers plenty of scratching options for cats. However, there’s something I absolutely need to share! On the lower lounging bowl, there’s a rubber band with a fabric ball attached to it—make sure to cut it off. Otherwise, cats can easily get hurt on it (one of my cats got her paw stuck and couldn’t free herself!). Just a well-intentioned tip from me. Other than that, the scratching post is a real highlight. *thumbs up

Initially I had a probem with the assembly of this product and gave up after 2 hours of puzzling over it. After sleeping on the problem, I have had another attempt and E U R E K A (! ! !) I have managed to complete the assembly of the cat tree. On the diagram it is indicated that the 3 bolts used in the base have a shorter thread at one end and longer thread at the other end. This is very deceiving and incorrect. It would be great if you could add to the details on your website a 'trouble-shooting' assembly addendum. It would help your customers enormously if you could state the 3 bolts to be used on the base have an EQUAL AMOUNT OF THREAD at either end (unlike the bolts shown in the instruction sheet). For most people this would suffice I think and save a couple of hours of sweat. Apart from the drama involved in assembling this item, the product is great and just what I have been looking for for a while now. My huge Maine Coon boys had a good old rampage on it this morning. I have the indoor version, bought from yourselves, and it too is fab and able to withstand the beating up it get from big cats. Pricier than some cat trees but well worth it if you need a particularly sturdy product.

My cats love this tree. I've had it for a good year now and it still looks very good and I have no complaints about its condition. My cats loved lounging around on it in the summer, but they've also kept themselves busy on it during the colder months. The warmer it is, the more they use it. I never thought it would be so popular when I bought it. The material is surprisingly hydrophobic - the rain water collects like a puddle but doesn't seem to soak into the material itself. Great outdoor cat tree and looks nice too. We are very happy.

My cats love the tree. I've had the tree for just over a year now, and even after the first winter, it still looks great and remains very popular. Last summer, there was always one of them lying on it, soaking up the sun. And now that it's gotten a bit warmer again, it's being used enthusiastically once more. I never would have thought it would be so popular when I bought it back then. By the way, the fabric really does seem to be water-repellent – rainwater collects in the bowl and doesn't get absorbed by the cushion. A fantastic scratching tree for outdoor use and also visually very appealing. We're very satisfied.

I've been looking for a outdoor scratching post for my 7 cats i was so pleased to see this on zooplus .my cats love it and have lots of fun. i will be ordering another one as its differcult for 7 cats to share just 1 scratching post. it is alittle differcult to put together but well worth it
