I was advised to try this as the vet believes my cat may have IBD. However, we have tried it three times and each time he is vomiting within 10 minutes, even if we just feed him as little as 5 grams. He has been eating chicken with no issues, so it's back to that while we figure out our next step.

Cat was vomiting occasionally & vet recommended switching to Royal Canin Hypoallergenic. I switched her gradually and she had SEVERE DIARRHOEA at once-twice a day for 6 wks, and vomiting more frequently after switching onto this food, until the day after she was fully back on her old food poop returned to solids and vomit stopped. She was taken off all other treats so certain it was this food causing the issues. £900 vet bills & 6 weeks of stress & cleaning up diarrhoea/vomit. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My tomcat always got along well with the old formulation of this food. After the redesign of the packaging, he no longer liked eating it, so I stopped giving it to him for a few months. He's been having it again for the past 4 weeks, and since then he's been vomiting regularly—now every day—and the colour is definitely the same as the food... This naturally raises the question of whether the recipe has been changed as well?! I’ll be steering clear of it from now on, for the sake of my cat! Such a shame!

Our tomcat with food intolerance always loved eating this food. Now we’ve bought a new bag of food, and the cat won’t touch it anymore. Why do the ingredients in cat food always have to be changed from time to time, especially when cats are already often very picky—and even more so with hypoallergenic food that we rely on?

My tomcat had severe skin problems caused by a food intolerance. After several failed attempts to try other types of food, the vet recommended this food to me, but it didn’t improve my cat’s condition. I have now found another food that he tolerates better.

My cat was vomiting for months on RC gastrointestinal, so after lots of tests the vets said food intolerance and put her on this. After 4 weeks on it she gradually developed severe diarrhea, so it's back to the vets, and I have her back on just Chicken breasts to maintain her

I’ve tried everything with this food.. gradually introducing it. Mixed about 15 grains of this with my cats normal dry food and he has been sick and has diarrhoea. We tried this same food a few months ago and the same thing happened. This is meant to be a hypoallergenic food and it seems toxic. My cat is less sick eating dreamies! We are sticking with his Purina hypoallergenic.

My tomcat had diarrhoea from this food from the very first day. After consulting the vet, I stopped feeding it to him after just under three weeks. From the second trip to the litter box onwards, his stools were completely normal again. This is certainly not the usual effect of this food, but it’s clearly a possible one, which is why I wanted to share this information here.

My 3-year-old cat likes the food, but after a week she starts vomiting it. Now I have to go back to feeding her Hills z/d food, which she doesn’t enjoy eating but tolerates very well and has never vomited.

I changed to this due to good feedback as i was previously on Hills ZD which changed formula. Well after a slow integration to this stuff my cat keeps throwing up. Thought i would persist but the same thing keeps happening every day..Changing back to ZD. Be careful. Its not for everyone and the reviews dont reflect this!

Our cat scratched herself until she had real wounds and was vomiting, so we switched to the Wilderness food. The scratching and vomiting improved but didn’t completely go away. On the vet’s advice, we tried Hypoallergenic. With Hypoallergenic, the cat immediately vomited three times. At first, we thought she might have eaten something wrong. Now our cat still occasionally vomits. We assume it’s due to the food.
