Our favourite litter
Really good product. Environmentally friendly because it is made of wood chips, because it is light and absorbs many times its mass, because it doesn't come from Canada unlike most clays and because it is flushable (think dispersible aspirin tablet, it just breaks down into dust when in water!). Also, it does track but no more than others and much less than very fine clay litters, being light coloured poo is immediately visible and, it blocks the smells rather well with no chemicals! Lastly, it is economical as it lasts for really really long so even though the purchase price is higher, we have calculated that it is no more expensive than the cheap brands to use. Awesome product.

Simply the best cat litter!
We've tried all the main stream litters available and with 10 cats it's no joke the cost of litter! This litter is simply the the best value we have found! Although it tracks more than some of the crystal type litter it clumps really well and reduces some of the more unpleasant smells from the litter box! One 40l bag lasts our 10 mainly indoor cats a month it's an absolute bargain!

Tried again: still good
My last 40-litre bag, which I recently ordered again as a trial, contained proper Cat's Best Öko Plus—just like it used to be and how it should be. The odour control and clumping were back to normal. Whether the poor quality last time was due to improper storage is something the manufacturer and Zooplus need to figure out.

Pleasantly surprised
I decided to give it a try based on the positive reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised. The smell of fresh wood shavings is very pleasant and lasts as long as the litter remains in the cat loo. That wasn’t the case with the bentonite litter we used before. After a while, it started to smell a bit. The wood litter is just as efficient as bentonite, doesn’t create dust, and forms good clumps. Of course, you’ll still have some litter around the house—that’s unavoidable. But compared to bentonite, it’s much less (since bentonite is so fine, the whole house used to be covered in tiny crumbs). The wood crumbs are a bit larger, so you can easily pick them up with your fingers between vacuuming. But overall, it’s much less than before. I also have a mat in front of the cat loo, which catches quite a bit. What excites me most is the always fresh wood scent—I find it very pleasant. Our two cats often pee near the edge, but it clumps well there too. Just a bit of toilet paper, and you can remove it easily. However, I prefer not to dispose of it in the toilet—I don’t trust our old pipes. But if there’s a pile that hasn’t been covered, I sometimes dispose of it directly in the toilet. Hardly any litter sticks to it. The pee clumps are also much smaller compared to bentonite litter. As for efficiency: I’ve now bought two 20L bags for one large loo, and it lasts me about 1½ months—with two cats! I think it’s really good and will definitely order it again!!

Unfortunately, not as expected
The cat litter is relatively coarse-grained, so the clumps aren't very firm. The odour control is quite okay, but the litter gets spread all over the flat.

Test purchase
Very subtle woody scent. The cat accepted it without any issues. Good clumping, no unpleasant odour. However, there’s a lot of litter scattered in front of the toilet! But otherwise, it’s recommendable.

Best cat litter ever!!!
I’ve tried sooo many types of cat litter, none were as good as this one!!! It’s incredibly long-lasting and very effective at odour control. I definitely won’t be buying any other!!! Unless the formula gets changed and it’s not as goooood anymore! ;-)
So, folks….. just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Best regards,
Kerstin

Tried on recommendation
I have 2 Maine Coons... for cats with long fur, it's total rubbish unless you want to become a slave to cleaning your living space.
I'm very satisfied with the Tigerino.

Top bedding
For years, my three tigers have been perfectly happy with this. Sure, I do get some litter scattered around the flat, but it’s manageable and easy to sweep up with a broom. There’s no such thing as perfect litter, but with Cat’s Best, I know there’s no dust ending up in their lungs or fur, and that’s what matters...

Will never use crystals or mineral based litter again!
Been using this for about 18 months now and it really is simple and "clean" to dispose of down the loo (I don't think cat wee and poo could ever be clean but you know what I mean). Our two cats live upstairs away from the dog and this litter has made all the difference.

The cat didn't take to it.
I ordered this litter because of the good rating it received from Stiftung Warentest. Personally, I liked it too – the scent is very pleasantly natural, it doesn’t create dust, and the lightweight nature is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, our cat didn’t take to it. We’ve always used a bentonite-based litter with baby powder scent and filled one of the toilets with the new litter. After several weeks and many attempts, we’ve now given up. The cat completely ignored the toilet with the new litter and wouldn’t even set a paw in it. Otherwise, she’s usually very curious and easy-going. For now, we’ve switched back to the usual litter and will try again in a while. Despite the clearly good product features, I’m giving it 3 stars.

Really great!!!
I've been using this cat litter for a few days now!
My two cats accepted it straight away.
Even when pouring the litter into the cat tray, you could smell that the litter is 100% organic. At first, the woody smell takes a bit of getting used to, but over time you get accustomed to this "natural scent." Additionally, it was important to me that the litter doesn't create dust, as I keep it in my flat. And here: no dust when pouring it in and no dust when my two dig around.
The cat litter is very economical, clumps really well, but as with every review, there's a BUT: since this is a kind of wood shavings, they naturally end up scattered all over the flat, and there's no chance of getting rid of them without a vacuum cleaner. Forget about using a broom!
I also read here that some people throw the used litter into the toilet: I WOULD advise against that!!! I tried it once and it took several flushes to get the clump to disappear into the sewer. Better to put it in a bag and tie it up properly :)
And another plus point (important for women): a 20kg bag of this litter is easy to carry because it's so lightweight ;) So getting it up to the flat is no problem!
I'll definitely buy this litter again!

Nothing else will ever come into our house.
We have a large Maine Coon, Karter, and accordingly, we were looking for top-quality litter.
We are very satisfied:
-Dust-free
-Smells pleasantly of wood
-Absorbs urine very well and binds it
-Very lightweight and low consumption

Quality has declined
We've been using this litter for a year now. At first, we gave it a 1-star rating. But the latest order is terrible. The consistency has changed – the clumps fall apart, and the smell is worse than ever throughout the entire flat, despite cleaning twice a day!
What a shame!

Better than the other brands
When I got my tomcats, we first used regular litter from the shop. We weren’t very impressed with the smell... The animal shelter had recommended this litter to us. So we gave it a try and it definitely binds odours much better. It’s not true that you can’t smell anything at all, but at least it’s an improvement. The only downside is the price. But I’ve read in some reviews that it’s supposed to last longer than regular litter. I’m curious to see if that’s true, but for now we’ll stick with it.

ECO Best
Best cat litter ever... 4 furry friends...
I've been disposing of the litter via the toilet for over a year now... works brilliantly... unfortunately, not very long-lasting.

All of a sudden, it's not great anymore!
We've been using this litter for many years, but lately, I've noticed more and more that the clumps fall apart just by looking at them. This leaves a lot behind in the litter box, which then crumbles into dust, and that's really unpleasant. I definitely won't be buying this litter again; I'd rather switch to a different clumping litter. That way, my cat might also stop doing his business on the freshly washed laundry! Such a shame after so many years!!!!

Simply brilliant!
Smells pleasantly of wood, clumps well, doesn’t dust or stick. Very easy to dispose of! I’ll only buy this from now on!

Best cat litter!!!
Truly the first litter that completely locks in the smell. And it lasts for several weeks!!!
Unfortunately, it’s not very economical with three furry friends. Still, great value for money!

Yessss - I’m always vacuuming afterwards too...
... but it's still my favourite litter – it's soft and gentle on the paws, smells pleasantly of wood and nature, and forms easily removable clumps! And most importantly: my two Burmas like it too! They love digging in it enthusiastically – as soon as it's freshly filled, they jump in and roll around... I prefer not to dispose of it in the toilet, but rather in a biodegradable bag in the organic waste bin. By the way: other types of litter tend to get scattered around the house!
