Customers appreciate this cat litter for its effective clumping and odour control, making it a long-time favorite for many. However, recent changes in formula have led to dissatisfaction, with complaints about reduced clumping, increased dust, and tracking issues. Despite these negatives, some users still find it economical and environmentally friendly, praising its lightweight nature and absorbency. Overall, while it has its drawbacks, the litter remains a popular choice for its original benefits.

Cat's Best Öko Plus
My absolute favourite!!! The bag is lightweight (so it's easy for a woman to carry), the litter clumps well and is extremely economical to use!

Super bedding!
I’m thrilled with this litter! I had tried many other brands before, including the cheap ones from Schlecker, Lidl, or Plus, but for me, this is the only litter that works now. I can dispose of it in the toilet, which I think is absolutely brilliant. Nothing else is an option for us or my Bärli anymore. It smells pleasant, which is very important to me, even after Bärli has done her business. So, we’re absolutely delighted, and that’s why this litter gets the highest rating from us.

The stuff flies around everywhere.
So, it might be that my cats have stickier paws than others, but I’m now finding these stupid crumbs all over the flat. No spot is safe from them. Yesterday, I even found some of the stuff on top of the cupboard. This is really going too far.
Stay away from this stuff if you want a clean home!!!

My facts
- It clumps just as well as other litters.
(It doesn't break apart more or less than other litters.)
- A good thing is that it doesn't stick to the toilet like the concrete-like litter.
- It doesn't create dust when pouring it in.
- It's very light, so it sometimes spreads outside the toilet, but it's easy to sweep up straight away, and if you step on it, it doesn't crumble like concrete-like litters.
- Additionally, the wood scent is very pleasant, not the nauseating smell we associate with "Bio Cats Fresh."

Very good and eco-friendly
Our two British Shorthair kittens accepted it straight away, even though we didn’t go for a gentle transition by gradually mixing in the new litter type, as is often recommended. The breeder used a different litter, but many types are probably quite similar in terms of texture. It clumps brilliantly, the little ones can dig and burrow nicely, and the clumps are super easy to remove. The litter is very eco-friendly and economical, absolutely top-notch, though it does produce quite a lot of dust. After cleaning, I always end up with a blocked nose for the next quarter of an hour. But I don’t find it a big deal.

Meh, it's alright.
Tried it out because a friend always uses it and it's quite affordable. The clumping is fine, and the bits the cats scatter can be swept up easily. However, the smell after they've done their business in this litter is really overpowering. I'll be switching back to Golden Grey or Extreme Classic.

Super clumping + odour control
I think this litter is absolutely brilliant. Even though it’s an eco-litter, it forms great clumps that don’t stick to the bottom like with many other litters. Fantastic. I find the odour control perfect. Okay, after two weeks it does get a bit dusty, but that doesn’t bother me or my tomcats. Yield is top-notch – 10 litres last us three weeks.

Super product
We've been using Cat's Best Öko Plus for years. After trying out other products occasionally, we always come back to this one. If you use a scoop with a coarse grid, it hardly produces any dust.
I also think it's great that this litter can be composted. Most types of litter are made from bentonite, which cannot biodegrade. As a result, tonnes upon tonnes of cat litter end up in landfills every year...

Dusty and clogs up the nose
At first, I was quite satisfied, but then my cat started sneezing more and more often (both inside and outside the box), always trying to keep her nose out of the box as much as possible. The new pack was even dustier than the old one – and it showed accordingly. On top of that, my cat couldn’t get rid of her sticky, dirty nose anymore.
After reading a comment from a breeder (much further down) about the greasy film and so on, I became more alert. The litter didn’t absorb odours particularly well either. Now I’m using a different clumping litter, and lo and behold, my cat is doing well again! No sneezing, no sticky nose.

Great
I am very satisfied with the litter. It clumps well, doesn’t smell too strong, and can be disposed of in the organic waste bin or even down the toilet. That’s a big plus for me! Here, our rubbish bins are weighed individually, and with bentonite litter, our utility bill was astronomical. This way, you can simply toss 2-3 clumps or piles into the toilet when you go yourself, it dissolves again and can be flushed away. We’ve been doing this for 4 months now and haven’t had any blockages because of it.
I only gave 4 stars because the pee clumps unfortunately sometimes crumble a bit and because it doesn’t bind odours quite as well as the litter we used before. However, due to the other advantages, we’ll continue using it, and luckily our cats aren’t picky *g*.

The best
I've been using this litter for years and I'm very satisfied. I have 7 cats, and it only smells here if one of them has done their business and hasn't covered it up. I haven't found anything better yet.

My favourite!
After trying out various types of litter for our cat and tomcat (7 months old), I've ended up back with this one. The scent is pleasant—I personally love the smell of fresh wood. Even if you don't clean the litter box straight away, you don't notice any urine odour. It clumps excellently and can be easily removed with the scoop. You don't need to replace it completely very often (which makes the price reasonable), and it doesn't get scattered all over the house like, for example, the two types of litter with baby powder scent that are on offer here—one of which also smears terribly. If the quality remains consistent, I will definitely stick with Cat's Best Öko Plus!

Unbearable Stench
The litter itself smells great when you pour it in, and it stays that way as long as no one has used it. But then it stinks to high heaven!!!!
Honestly, my place has never smelled like a cat litter box before. I used to use Feliton with baby powder scent or Multifit Biofresh, but now with the CBÖP, it smells absolutely awful when I come in from outside... I'm so embarrassed...
It's a shame, really, because I really like the consistency of the litter.
I clean the litter box several times a day, basically every time I notice one of the cats has been in there, and yet this stench... I just can't stand it.
Today, the first thing I'm going to do is throw this rubbish out and switch back to Feliton. Good thing I didn't buy a big bag of CBÖP...

Super clumping!
I find this cat litter very pleasant. It’s not as sharp and rough as most of the granules. The smell of urine is perfectly neutralised here, and the clumping power is incredible!! You can still smell the bigger business, but it’s not a magic solution after all. I think the litter is brilliant, great value for money, and I’ll stick with this product!

Disappointed!
We wanted to try out a new litter and, based on the good reviews, we were full of hope.
But somehow, I just can’t understand all the positive reviews.
I used the litter in combination with EC. I still have about 20% EC in there because you’re supposed to switch gradually, and Cat’s Best doesn’t bind the odour at all!
We’ll probably stick with EC, especially since their prices have come down.

Surprising!
The first cat litter that both my cats and I equally like :) Up until now, they had bentonite litter with a vanilla scent (Cats Clean), but since I found that quite expensive in the long run and wanted something biodegradable, I decided to try Öko Plus. Apart from the fact that they scatter it around the flat just like any other litter, it’s fantastic!! Extremely economical, doesn’t smell even the tiniest bit, and clumps brilliantly! I’ve recommended it to all my friends who own cats, and many of them told me they’ve been using it for years anyway... :) Absolutely recommend it without hesitation.

The best I've ever had
I’ve tried all sorts of litter already. From cheap products (which, in my opinion, are completely useless) to Catsan (which really takes quite a toll on your wallet), and now I’m using Cat’s Best, and it’s absolutely brilliant. There’s no smell, it’s long-lasting, and our cats are absolutely thrilled with it... So, I can only recommend it!

My cats and I love this litter!
I have 7 lovely felines, and they all have adapted to this litter beautifully. My 10 year-old Yoko has had litter box aversion issues all her life, but even she likes this litter!!! The cats seem to like it because it is gentle on their paws and also stays dry due to an excellent clumping action. The product also has excellent odour control. The only deficiency I've found is that the litter does track a bit. I've tried loads of cat litters, and this one is the best I've found yet.

A bit too dusty
Overall, I think the litter is quite good. It mainly smells like wood, which is natural.
However, after about 7 days, the pellets start to shrink and it gets quite dusty. After 10 days, my cat always ends up with a very dusty nose after using the litter tray... hence the 4 stars.
