Customers appreciate this cat litter for its effective clumping and odour control, making it a long-time favorite for many. However, recent changes in formula have led to dissatisfaction, with complaints about reduced clumping, increased dust, and tracking issues. Despite these negatives, some users still find it economical and environmentally friendly, praising its lightweight nature and absorbency. Overall, while it has its drawbacks, the litter remains a popular choice for its original benefits.

Not for delicate noses...
Convinced by the good test reviews, I subjected our young tomcat and the whole family to this litter for almost a month – our verdict was unanimous: INADEQUATE! Oscar spent ages scratching around in the litter box, I cleaned his box three times a day (with great effort, as the litter is so coarse-grained that sieving didn’t achieve much...), the yield was exceptionally poor – which, in this case, turned out to be an advantage, as I didn’t need to dispose of it; it practically disposed of itself quickly... The pebbles spread throughout the apartment much faster than fine-grained cat litter. Yes, the only advantage is the easy disposal, but the disadvantages far outweigh it, especially the "scent burden." We’ve now returned to fine organic clay litter, without any added fragrances, yet still super odour-binding and firmly clumping = super efficient! The only downside: ridiculously heavy, but that’s what men are for...

Cats did not approve
I tried this litter and my first impressions were very positive. Nice smell faintly of pine, so pure and clean and the litter clumps well. My cats did not like it at all. They "went" outside the litter tray which led my son to believe that the tray was dirty so each time he found an "accident" he changed the entire tray - we got through 40 litres in under 2 weeks!
I changed to Extreme (sold on this site) cats loved it and no more accidents

Clumps well, but
My two Coonie ladies accepted it straight away. It clumps well, doesn’t create dust, doesn’t smell – just like wood – and is very lightweight (we need large quantities because we have a very large litter box). However, there was one big downside. My Coonies came out of the litter box munching. Yes, you read that right, they ate it. I don’t think that’s ideal because of the clumping properties, so I swapped it out again after three days of trying. Such a shame. I would have liked to stick with it.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING ELSE!!!!
I bought this litter after trying the world's best, which costs twice as much and Oko did a better job at controlling the smell. I finished the 40 l bag two weeks ago and treid some others and NONE are even remotely as good as Oko Plus. Moral of the story: don't waste money on anything else, this is by far the best I've tried so far, best at clumping, odour control and ecological ease of disposal: no need for plastic bags.

Best there is!
Well, we've tried everything now, and this stuff here is absolutely brilliant... not the cheapest, but if you care about handling and hygiene, then this is the number one choice.
Doesn't really create dust
Super absorbent
Clumps nicely (though not perfectly)
Smells pleasant
Fairly lightweight
Doesn't scratch anything
Just fantastic... enjoy it!

Completely satisfied
I'm completely satisfied. No smell of urine or poo... my three cats accepted it without any problems. It's also nice and economical to use. I'll keep buying it. As for it spreading around the flat, some always gets stuck in their paws. I've had worse experiences though... I just grab a broom or the vacuum, and it's fine. If my cats are shedding, I have to vacuum anyway. So what? All for the cats, right?

Great clumping litter
The cat litter is really great. My three cats, all of them older, took to it straight away, and disposal is hassle-free too. It smells very nice, clumps perfectly, and the fact that you can throw it on the compost is, of course, fantastic. I'll stick with it.

Super! Super! Super!
It finally doesn’t smell like cat urine anymore. Simply brilliant. The usage is also less compared to other clumping litters.

Very effective but it stinks!!!
I used this litter for a very long time. The smell when cleaning it is absolutely awful – you almost pass out from the stench cloud – and with two cats, it’s barely tolerable. I’ve switched to GreyMaster and am very happy with it. CatBest-Stink-Litter NEVER again – not after the comparison!

unfortunately
Half of the litter from the cat toilet was carried out after use by our four Coonies, and you end up with litter everywhere – and I really mean everywhere. Due to its weight, it spreads easily. The clumping was satisfactory, as was the odour absorption.
The weight of the bag is pleasant... but I’d rather look for a more suitable litter.

90% Perfect
I can only agree with the previous positive reviews. However, I don’t throw the clumps into the toilet, as the risk of a clogged pipe is just too high for me! Disposal via the organic waste bin works perfectly and even saves water! As for the distribution of crumbs throughout the entire flat, that happens to me too. I have a regular short-haired cat, and the crumbs stick to her paws, which she then gradually drops everywhere as she walks around. I find this extremely annoying—constantly having to clean up (which is why I only give it a "good" rating). Maybe the "litter inventors" will come up with something to fix this! Until then, I’ll continue to buy this litter because it otherwise meets all the requirements I have for good cat litter. By the way, I haven’t tried a single litter (and I’ve tried quite a few) that hasn’t been carried around to some extent. Still, it’s annoying...

Very good, but.....
The litter is really great, it controls odour better than any other and still smells like sawdust even after days, plus you can easily dispose of it in the toilet!
However, one of my two furry friends absolutely refuses to use it. He peed on my brand-new sofa, even when this silly owner thought it was just a coincidence and tried it again – he did it again, no chance!
When I set up a second toilet with the familiar litter, he used that one EXCLUSIVELY!

The litter itself is great, but...
Our two Coonies initially struggled to accept this completely new type of litter, but with a few tricks, we managed to convince them. The litter absorbs bad odours perfectly; it really only smells like wood, and even in the rubbish bag, there’s no unpleasant smell. Admittedly, the litter doesn’t clump as well as bentonite litter, but if you approach the clump carefully, you can remove it in one piece. From a hygiene perspective, I’m happy to recommend this litter, but unfortunately, every positive has its downside. The litter creates significantly more dust when cleaning compared to bentonite, so much so that even the cats started sneezing and hurried to cover up quickly to escape the cloud. And unfortunately, the cats also track the litter out of the toilet (more so than with bentonite), which might be due to their long fur. Perhaps this isn’t an issue with short-haired breeds. I also really like that it can be disposed of in the organic waste bin, which probably saves a lot of money. But sadly, I didn’t like having wood shavings all over the house. A real shame, actually.

Very satisfied!
Well, my two British Shorthair tomcats have been used to this litter since they were little and don’t want anything else in their toilet.
It’s excellent for disposal, i.e., it clumps well and is therefore very economical in use.
Odours will arise with any litter if you don’t clean often enough.
But that’s something you should consider before getting a pet!
We’re sticking with it for our darlings.

For the price, brilliant!
This cat litter takes a bit of getting used to when pouring it in, especially if you're used to the sandy type like CE, for example. It's coarse-grained with a yellowish tint but smells very pleasant, almost like a forest :-) It clumps excellently, both for small and large messes. However, I have a scoop with small holes, which makes it a bit tricky to sift and clean things out :-)
Other than that, I have to say I'm very, very satisfied and give it a rating of 4.

Very good for ferrets
Simply highly recommended. I've tried many different types of litter for my four ferrets, but none were as good as Cat's Best. And the 40-litre bag easily lasts over a month.

I'm thrilled!
I recently got a tomcat. He’s from the animal shelter and my first cat.
That’s why I’m currently trying out the entire range of cat products available here and in pet stores.
I bought this litter because I can dispose of the clumps in the toilet. It’s especially convenient since the litter box is right next to my toilet.
I’m absolutely thrilled with this litter because it really clumps excellently and binds odours fantastically. Even when Sunday has just done his business, there’s really no smell—just a slight scent of the wood it’s made from. I actually find this smell very pleasant.
I haven’t noticed any issues when disposing of it in the toilet so far. After flushing, there are no residues of the litter left in the bowl.
Overall, highly recommended.

The best of all
We are extremely satisfied with this litter, it lasts us 9-10 months with a 40-litre bag for two cats. Super easy to dispose of via the toilet, which saves a huge amount on waste costs!!! On top of that, it’s odour-binding – simply brilliant.

Clumps too little
What’s excellent about this cat litter is its weight and neutral scent, but I was very disappointed that the clumps fall apart when you try to remove them and have to be fished out bit by bit. On top of that, the litter ends up scattered all over the house after our British Shorthairs have been to the toilet. Such a shame – I’ll have to keep looking...

One of the best litters!
CatsBest Öko Plus is something I can only recommend. No smell - no dust - great clumping. I really can’t understand the negative comments before me - oh well!
So, in the future, you’ll only find Cat’s Best in our home!
