Simply brilliant!
We've been using this litter for years, and it's perfect. It smells like wood, clumps really well, and is affordable. For my two cats, a 40-litre bag lasts about three months. What more could you want? It's only problematic for long-haired cats, as its light weight means it gets "carried out" of the litter box. Everyone else should definitely give it a try. It's definitely better than all clay or bentonite litters because it DOESN'T produce lung-penetrating dust—meaning the few dust particles at the bottom of a pack are far too large to be inhaled into the lungs! That's not something you can take for granted with other litters (see Ökotest!).

Very satisfied
It doesn’t smell anymore, and the litter is also very economical thanks to the excellent clumping! The cat loves it too. Really great product for short-haired felines!

cat litter
The cat litter is simply brilliant, and I can only recommend it. I have 4 cats at home – 2 adults and 2 kittens – and like all cats, they love going into the box. The litter lasts me a very long time because you can scoop out the urine as well as the faeces. Disposal is quick and easy. So, I just want to emphasise again – simply brilliant, and I can only recommend it.

- very satisfactory -
Although I've had cats since I was 3 years old, I now have a disabled three-legged one – my "Red Baron." Since I previously had no experience with litter boxes (all my pets were outdoor cats), I did some research on various cat litters. To start with – some of them are very good, including "Extreme Classic" – but this one has a decisive advantage: the soiled part can be disposed of daily in the regular household toilet. BRILLIANT! Hardly any unpleasant odours, no additional waste from plastic bags, and even a toilet deodoriser is practically unnecessary. It doesn't stick to the fur any worse than some other high-quality litters – I could hardly notice any differences in this regard. (Especially with my three-legged cat, things tend to get stuck occasionally.) And I don't find it bothersome at all.
I can only highly recommend it.
Best regards

Great!!
I tried CBÖP because I had only heard good things about it. Actually, I was already satisfied with my previous litter, but I'm glad I decided to give it a go anyway.
I hadn't even put the lid on yet, and Mieze was already inside. Scratching around in the natural litter clearly brought her a lot of joy!
She usually scratches for a very long time after doing her business (about a minute), but here we both agreed: just a quick 2-3 scratches, and there's no smell at all!
I don't find it dusty at all, and it smells great.
The clumps were super easy to remove, and disposal is a breeze! Brilliant!
I can imagine that the lightweight litter might cause issues for long-haired cats, but with our short-haired one and a litter mat (I can only recommend the one from here for about €10), it's absolutely no problem!
On the contrary, I actually prefer stepping on soft wood crumbs in the kitchen rather than regular litter with that lovely crunching effect on the tiles!
I'm thrilled and can only recommend giving it a try!

Never again!
I wanted to give it a try because of the comparatively cheap price, and now I’m absolutely fuming. Never again!
For short-haired cats, it’s probably fine, and the wood scent is actually really nice, but with my Maine Coon, the litter is disgusting. It sticks to the long fur and gets spread all over the house!!! From now on, we’re only using Extreme Classic in the cat litter box.

Clean!
Apart from the enthusiastic cleaning frenzy of our little tomcat, who ensures that the material gets "scattered" all over the hallway, this litter is really very pleasant. Liquids can be removed in large clumps and don't smell, and solid waste is only noticeable at the moment it's deposited. What more could you want? The litter smells like wood, is very economical, and makes the cat happy.

We are very satisfied... clumps perfectly and smells like fresh wood. We'll remain loyal customers.

Very satisfied
I have 5 cats in the house, and the litter (40l) lasts over 2 months with 4 litter boxes. It clumps very well, making it super easy to keep the litter box clean. The litter does get spread around a bit outside the box, but that's not the litter's fault—it's the cat's.
Over time, used litter settles at the bottom, which doesn't clump, and it creates dust when cleaning.
However, I've found a good solution. I use a sieve (plastic tray) and a bowl to sift the existing cat litter and completely clean the litter box. This way, the old cat litter can be fully reused.

Does a cat live here?!?
My mother-in-law came to visit and immediately rushed to the loo. When she was done, she said: "Do you have a cat? I can’t smell anything, but this is a cat litter box, isn’t it?!?"
Indeed. Two tigers share the litter box, and the litter is so brilliant that you can’t smell a thing from a cat anywhere in the flat. Absolutely recommendable.

Not satisfied at all
I find this litter absolutely awful. Firstly, it gets scattered all over the house, and secondly, our bathroom has never smelled so strongly of cat waste as it did with this product. I threw it all away because my cat started avoiding the litter box. Such a shame – but you live and learn!

The best
I've been using Cats Best Öko Plus for years and I'm still thrilled with it. Our litter tray is in the bedroom and you don't even notice it :)

Super!!!
I think this litter is absolutely brilliant! My tiger accepted it straight away. The litter is super economical, doesn’t smell at all, and clumps well.
The only downside: because it’s so light, it ends up scattered all over the flat and creates a lot of dust when removing individual clumps. Also, unfortunately, my cat occasionally eats a bit of the litter when it’s lying around on the carpet.
Still, I’ll stick with this litter because it’s definitely one of the most economical and odour-binding ones. I’m also completely convinced by the clumping. It clumps almost as well as bentonite litter if you’re careful when cleaning.
I’ve had this cat litter in the tray for several months now. I’ve only topped it up once and haven’t had to completely change the litter yet. Absolutely fantastic!!!

Super!
I've been using this litter from the very beginning. I did try a different one at first, but it really didn't convince me at all. It's very economical and does a great job of binding odours. I think my two cats honestly wouldn't care which litter we use, but I wouldn't let anything else into the house.

Super good! No urine smell.
We have 5 tomcats and, being sceptical (because of the good reviews), decided to order this product.
The odour control for urine is excellent,
but, well, the poo piles should be removed immediately as the smell isn’t absorbed.
I also have to mention how economical it is – simply brilliant.
Downside: the "pellets" unfortunately end up scattered all over the room...

Not for delicate noses...
Convinced by the good test reviews, I subjected our young tomcat and the whole family to this litter for almost a month – our verdict was unanimous: INADEQUATE! Oscar spent ages scratching around in the litter box, I cleaned his box three times a day (with great effort, as the litter is so coarse-grained that sieving didn’t achieve much...), the yield was exceptionally poor – which, in this case, turned out to be an advantage, as I didn’t need to dispose of it; it practically disposed of itself quickly... The pebbles spread throughout the apartment much faster than fine-grained cat litter. Yes, the only advantage is the easy disposal, but the disadvantages far outweigh it, especially the "scent burden." We’ve now returned to fine organic clay litter, without any added fragrances, yet still super odour-binding and firmly clumping = super efficient! The only downside: ridiculously heavy, but that’s what men are for...

Cats did not approve
I tried this litter and my first impressions were very positive. Nice smell faintly of pine, so pure and clean and the litter clumps well. My cats did not like it at all. They "went" outside the litter tray which led my son to believe that the tray was dirty so each time he found an "accident" he changed the entire tray - we got through 40 litres in under 2 weeks!
I changed to Extreme (sold on this site) cats loved it and no more accidents

Clumps well, but
My two Coonie ladies accepted it straight away. It clumps well, doesn’t create dust, doesn’t smell – just like wood – and is very lightweight (we need large quantities because we have a very large litter box). However, there was one big downside. My Coonies came out of the litter box munching. Yes, you read that right, they ate it. I don’t think that’s ideal because of the clumping properties, so I swapped it out again after three days of trying. Such a shame. I would have liked to stick with it.
