Customers appreciate this cat litter for its effective clumping and odour control, making it a long-time favorite for many. However, recent changes in formula have led to dissatisfaction, with complaints about reduced clumping, increased dust, and tracking issues. Despite these negatives, some users still find it economical and environmentally friendly, praising its lightweight nature and absorbency. Overall, while it has its drawbacks, the litter remains a popular choice for its original benefits.

Enough testing ...
Well, I've already tried so many types of litter that I thought this one probably wouldn't be any good either, but I decided to give it a go...
I have to say, apart from the fact that my furry friends scatter a bit of it outside the litter box, I have NOTHING to complain about with this litter :O) It doesn't smell... it clumps well... and for two cats, it lasts at least 3 weeks (cleaning twice a day)... So, I'm not experimenting anymore :O)

Super duper BRILLIANT!!
The best litter since my "I'm-looking-for-the-perfect-litter-that-clumps-smells-good-is-long-lasting-and-affordable" journey!! Total enthusiasm from my two as well. Nothing better could have happened to us.
Best wishes, Georgie

Simply recommendable
At first, I used a bentonite clumping litter for our two cats. I was quite satisfied with it, but the bin was constantly full (and heavy), and my parents, who live in the same house, complained about the smell when opening the bin. That’s why I decided to try CBÖP, and I’m thrilled. It clumps really well and is easy to remove from the litter tray, doesn’t have an overpowering smell, and the best part is that it can be disposed of via the toilet. No more annoying smelly bins! The cats accepted it without any issues. The only thing I could imagine is that it might stick slightly to the fur of long-haired cats. With our short-haired cats, there’s no difference compared to the first litter.

Superb, except for Coonies
I'm absolutely thrilled with the litter. Extremely efficient, binds odours brilliantly, truly fantastic.
Unfortunately, it gets stuck between my Coonies' paws and ends up being spread all over the flat. That's why, sadly, we have to keep looking.

I'm just not a cat.
I thought the litter was great. It's a shame that my cats completely refused to use it after a one-month trial period.

Simply brilliant!
I used to have a different litter, but now that I have a new cat, I bought this one because of the easy disposal. I'm thrilled – it clumps brilliantly, there are no unpleasant odours, and my cat gets on with it perfectly.

The best there is. :D
Very good cat litter. Super economical, our cat has no complaints.
Some litter does end up in front of the litter box, but you have to vacuum more often anyway when you have cats at home.

What a shame.
I tried this litter because of the many positive reviews. My two furry friends were very sceptical at first but ended up using it – though only for a very short time. It already smelled awful on the first day, so the cats preferred to do their business on the toilet mat instead. After three days, I had to throw the litter out completely – the whole room stank terribly.
This has never happened with any other litter I’ve tested before! Never again!

It's brilliant!
The fact that it's plant-based is already an advantage. Furthermore, I find it more comfortable to use; it's softer on the velvet paws. The clumping is actually perfectly fine too. It doesn't create as much dust as other litters, and even if there's a little, I don't find it as bad as with some other litters. It's economical in use, and with my cats, it doesn't stick to their paws, so if anything, there's only a bit of scattering in front of the litter box, but not throughout the entire flat.
My cats like it, I like it too, and I think the price-performance ratio is good.
We find it recommendable!

We are satisfied!
Our owner has been using this litter for quite a while now. We've pretty much never had any issues with it. Even though Söckchen never gets anything stuck in her fur, it's always me, poor little Schnettwittchen. Litter for long-haired cats doesn't really help me either. That's why we stick to the one we prefer anyway. Purr, and our owner doesn't have to carry anything too heavy! Everything always has its pros and cons, says our owner!!!

Very good!
This is the best litter I've ever had. Clumps perfectly, absolutely no smell. I can only recommend it!

Just right for us!
We are very satisfied with the clumping litter. It's true that it's a bit dusty, but my cat doesn't mind. I think she likes the smell of wood. Even after a few days, it doesn't stink, and I think it's great that I can simply dispose of the waste in the toilet.

Tip against spreading
I’ve read through all the comments here and I have to say, I’ve got a tip for everyone whose cats scatter litter all over the house:
Use a long-haired rug as a mat for the toilet, something like a faux fur substitute or similar. The litter sticks to it better than to the cat’s fur and gets brushed off when they step out. You’ll just need to shake out the rug more often, though.
Otherwise, this is also my absolute favourite. I don’t have to lug heavy bags around when I fetch new litter from the basement, it clumps brilliantly, and disposal via the toilet works perfectly. At first, I was a bit worried about pipe blockages in case the litter built up over time, but I’ve been using it for over a year now and everything’s still fine. I do occasionally use a drain cleaner as a precaution, though. In terms of smell, I have to say it’s much more pleasant than other litters (even those with baby powder scent), as it only smells like wood and immediately neutralises odours. However, you should change it completely relatively often, because after just 1-2 days it gets scratched through and the large pellets turn into dust. At that point, it doesn’t help much anymore and starts to stink. I had this problem once when someone was looking after my cats during a holiday and didn’t change the litter, only removed the mess. After a week, it was really awful and totally disgusting. But for hygiene reasons alone, frequent changes should be standard anyway.
So, all in all, this is definitely a litter I’d recommend!

Super bedding
It clumps well, there's no smell – but unfortunately, it ends up all over the kitchen. Though that might be because my cat always bolts out of there like his life depends on it after he's done his business.

Unbelievable...
...but true. My two little new housemates love this bedding, and so do I. There's absolutely no smell, it's super, super long-lasting, and the best part is you can dispose of it via the toilet. It doesn't get any better than this!!!!

Clumps well - unfortunately, it’s very dusty.
I have had very good experiences with this cat litter so far. I use it for my ferrets' toilet (and as we all know, they’re quite fussy ;D), and I’m very satisfied. Odour control and clumping are excellent, and it’s very economical in terms of usage. Another advantage is, of course, the ecological aspect. The only downside: it produces a lot of dust.

Absolutely top!
This litter is absolutely recommended! Over the past 12 years, I've tested various (clumping) litters and never really dared to try plant fibre litter. However, I decided to give it a go because of the good reviews here.
Conclusion:
- It clumps brilliantly, effortlessly outshining other clumping litters!
- There's absolutely no smell when my tomcat has been in the litter box!
- It does create some dust when you pour it into the litter box, but when my cat digs around in it, there's no dust (our bathroom is dark blue!).
- I have a plastic mat in front of the litter box, which catches a lot of the litter that sticks to his paws. If my cat happens to drag some out, the litter pieces are large enough to easily sweep up or pick up. He doesn't spread it around the flat; it stays in the bathroom.
- The simple and odourless disposal via the toilet is fantastic! No more smelly bins in the bathroom!

Actually good...
Unfortunately, I found the cat litter all over the flat. My two Maine Coon cats dragged the lightweight litter through their fur across the entire flat. In terms of performance, it’s really great and fantastic, especially the disposal via the toilet. However, I’ll probably have to look for a different cat litter again, as I don’t want to clean the entire flat every single day...

great for indoor paws!
used silicate litter, but my two queens disaproved it hurt their paws.I tried everything Tried this litter, they love it!so long as it is deep there’s no nasty smell - EVER!!My cats are good at treading the litter out so I use an electric sweeper each morning, but now use a cat mat in front of the tray.i noticed it on the carpet but its easy to clean up, with my last litter which was fine, I didnt think there was a problem with treading, but actually it got ground into the carpet fibres.

Mixed opinions
I don’t like it, even though my human keeps saying a thousand times that it’s great. It doesn’t get spread around the flat as much, but I don’t like digging in it either – it’s too coarse. It doesn’t stink (well, it does to me, I don’t like wood). And when it’s nearly finished, it gets dusty, and if I do happen to dig and pee on the bottom of the toilet, my human even scolds me because there are slimy pee residues left behind. But otherwise, it clumps well, and if I accidentally go to the toilet with this litter twice, I definitely don’t get my paws dirty. Yours, Charli
