...and is poorly absorbent due to the coarse texture...
...??? I'm cracking up, what kind of vacuum cleaner do you have? Even my handheld cordless vacuum picks them up. Cats Best is the best litter you can get. I have four cats and four litter boxes, all with lids. Sure, they drag a few crumbs through the house, so what? That happens with other litters too. And if something gets stuck in their paws, it's no big deal—it's pure nature, nothing can get inflamed like with chemical litter. In the garden, they bring all sorts of other stuff under their paws anyway. It does create a bit of dust when pouring it in, but it clumps brilliantly. The pee obviously needs to soak in first. It also dissolves perfectly in the toilet. Take a handful of litter, pour a little water over it (pee substitute), and you'll see how it clumps. Then pour a litre of water into the sink, toss the clump in, stir it a bit, and voilà—it dissolves perfectly. I've been flushing my cats' poo and pee down the toilet for years, and it's never clogged. When doing a deep clean of the litter box, you can throw the remaining bits in the rubbish. I do this every four weeks.
Savings: I always buy 40-litre bags for €18. They last eight weeks... what more could you want?

Unfortunately, not convincing!
I too got tempted while searching for the "right" litter.
So many positive reviews – it had to be good. Not a chance!!
The whole house is covered in little grains, despite using a mat, not to mention the dust!
Clumps don’t always form, and most of the time they fall apart when trying to remove them.
And I’m also cautious about disposing of it in the toilet.
So, I’ll keep testing to find the litter that makes us all happy.

Not good, sorry!
Three cats and two litter boxes – not usable. It’s dusty, smells, and the litter ends up scattered all over the house. Plus, the coarse granules make it absorb poorly. Even with litter mats, there was no improvement.
Such a shame, the litter was advertised as very promising. Thanks, but never again!

Very satisfied
Hello!
I've had two BKA tomcats for four weeks now, both 4 months old.
I've been using Cat's Best Öko Plus in the litter box for four weeks, only removing the clumps, which thankfully don't fall apart, and everything is perfect!
The only downside is that it produces a bit of dust, but in return, I only get a few crumbs on the mat here and there. I can only recommend it!!!

Very good
I can only recommend this cat litter! It’s lightweight, clumps really well, and is environmentally friendly too. The fact that you can dispose of the leftovers via your own toilet is one of the best things about it, in my opinion. My cat got used to it pretty quickly as well, which I’m really pleased about! I also think the price-performance ratio is fair.

best cat litter
Clumps beautifully. Very easy to remove both pee & poo. Little tracking.

Very good!
This cat litter seems to be absolutely brilliant for my cats. As soon as fresh litter is refilled, the two of them are already scratching around in the wooden pellets ^^. What’s really great is the excellent odour control (I clean the litter boxes daily, and anyone who visits us has never noticed that we have two cats ;)) and the option to dispose of the clumps via the toilet. Not to mention the "Very Good" rating from Öko-Test. Smelly bins are a thing of the past. Not for me, though, as I’ve been using Cat’s Best Öko Plus from the very beginning and can highly recommend it to everyone. At first glance, this cat litter might seem a bit pricey, but its very economical usage saves money in the long run. For us, there’s no other choice anymore – the cats love it, it’s kind to the environment, easy on our wallets, and keeps our noses and those of our visitors happy ;))

The price-performance ratio is spot on.
I've been using this litter in the loo for a week now... and my tomcat goes in much more often than he did with Thomson before.
It does kick up quite a bit of dust when pouring it in, but it clumps really well. In terms of smell, it's fine; it absorbs well (I did the sniff test on my bag of clumps).
The "beach effect" isn't great, of course, but you can't have everything, unfortunately.

Dusty and smells awful.
At first, my three tomcats and I were really impressed with this cat litter.
But after a short time, the litter starts to smell extremely bad, it creates an insane amount of dust (at times I’ve had pure powder and no granules left in the corners of the litter trays), the clumps fall apart when you try to remove them and stick stubbornly to the corners, the granules end up everywhere and my cats carry them all around the house. After one of the three tomcats started to become unclean, I completely emptied all three litter trays and switched back to Thomas clumping litter (which unfortunately isn’t available here). A big plus of Öko Plus is that the litter is nice and lightweight, so even as a petite woman, you don’t risk hurting your back when carrying it. However, I will definitely not be buying this litter again :o(

For our kitten, it's the BEST.
We have an Exotic Shorthair who is very sensitive with her little nose. I’ve tried many types of cat litter, but she always ended up sneezing, especially the ones with baby powder scent – those didn’t suit her at all. Now I’ve bought this litter, and she has no problems anymore. Now both kitty and owner are happy! The litter clumps really well, smells natural, the price is reasonable, it doesn’t create dust, and you can dispose of it via the toilet or compost bin. For us, this litter is THE BEST!!!

Cat Litter Pellets
Dear Zooplus Team,
I have been using wood litter for a long time now, and I must say I am very satisfied with it. I have recommended it to others multiple times and have always received a thank-you from the users. I used to always get my product from Schlecker, but nowadays I don't enjoy the hassle of carrying it anymore, which is why I would now like to register as a new customer.
Until further notice, I remain with kind regards to the Zooplus team,
Yours, Delphin

The best litter of all time!!!
We've been using this litter for years. You can't smell a thing, even after weeks. You don't have to constantly replace the litter, and it lasts forever. My Maine Coon mix cats have no issues with it. The top product when it comes to cat litter.

Great!
So, I should probably start by mentioning that I’m a complete beginner when it comes to cats—my tomcat moved in with us last week at 12 weeks old—so I don’t really have much to compare it to. However, I do know all about the annoying litter box cleaning from my friends. Now, about the product: I’m absolutely thrilled! I had imagined the cleaning process to be much more exhausting (which it probably is with other types of litter too)—you just quickly sift through, toss the clumps and such into the toilet—and done... sensational! You don’t even need the special bin—it clumps brilliantly, though it’s a bit dusty.

Best there is!
This is so much better than anything I've used before. It doesn't smell and you can even flush it way.

Perfect for furry bums
The litter is coarse enough not to get stuck between the paws.
Dust: Minimal
Smell: Great (not too overpowering)
Clumping: Excellent
Even after a week, there's still no need to change it, and the kittens love using the litter box. The tomcat even plays in the litter and digs around just for fun, like Bob the Builder. We're sticking with it! :)

Complete satisfaction
I have a 12-week-old kitten, and it uses the litter tray with Cats Best litter without any problems. It doesn’t smell and clumps together really well. I previously used a different clumping litter that wasn’t as good. This eco-friendly litter is very economical and odourless.

Failed here too!
The smell is very unpleasant, even by the next day!
As my predecessor already mentioned, absolutely do not dispose of it in the toilet, as it swells up significantly...
Also, my cats really dislike it, and the fact that it spreads everywhere in large quantities throughout the flat is just one aspect!
Very disappointing, I let myself be guided by the good reviews.

Failed!
This litter is absolutely not for me, and our cat was also only moderately to not at all impressed...
It gets 2 stars for the pleasant smell (like wood), which, however, only we found nice, while the cat didn’t seem to care... and for its durability—it’s really economical, and the base filling can last for 6 weeks without starting to smell bad...
Now onto the negative aspects... which, for me, clearly outweigh the positives... The litter is dusty as hell... it’s just not okay. When filling the litter box, you end up with a layer of dust within a 1-metre radius around the box... Plus, the litter spreads just as well throughout the flat—I’d need to vacuum every 2 hours to keep up. Furthermore, it’s not as soft as described; I actually find it rather prickly... I’ve had some unpleasant experiences with it. I walked barefoot through the flat and ended up with a splinter from the litter stuck in the sole of my foot—pretty painful!
I also wouldn’t recommend anyone trying to flush the litter down the toilet... We tried with a very small clump, and the litter swelled up so much that it almost caused a flood. Removing the huge slimy clump from the toilet took 2 hours...
So, I can’t recommend anyone to buy this litter!

Unfortunately, failed...
Unfortunately, my cats also refuse to use this litter as long as there's an alternative available. In four days, I had exactly ONE clump in the litter box with Cat's Best. Both of the other boxes (one with dm litter, one with Golden Grey) were used much more frequently.
And for me, this litter doesn't offer enough advantages over our usual litter (the one from dm-drogerie) to justify the higher price.
Negatives: Extremely dusty – not just when filling, clumps are relatively large, clumps fall apart more easily, price.
Positives: Lightweight, better odour control (as far as you can tell from using it once – at least the one clump smelled more like wood than pee), eco-friendly, can be disposed of via the toilet (provided the pipes can handle it, as this stuff swells up a lot).
Conclusion: The litter does its job, but for the same price, you can get significantly better quality elsewhere!

Been using it for 2 years
Great litter the clumping is amazing and 1 bag seems to last ages. Easy to scoop out the clumps so no wastage. Some people say it masks the smell of poop but I wouldn't say it does, no urine smells though like I've noticed with some over litters. Its not to messy although it does get in my cats paws and she always shakes them as she come out of the tray. I use a litter mat which pretty much traps these lose bits. Tried other litters but this is still the best for us.
