Simply brilliant! :)
I was sceptical at first because, although there were many good reviews, there were also some in between from people who didn’t like it at all.
My opinion: It’s simply brilliant!
Before, I used that crystal-like hygiene litter, which was somewhat okay, but I had to change it so often because it started smelling after a short time and didn’t absorb properly at all.
Cat’s Best, on the other hand, absorbs really well, forms clumps that are easy to remove, hardly smells, and can simply go into the organic waste bin (or, in our case, onto the manure heap, since we have a horse stable right here).
I can only recommend it! I now regret only getting the small bag to test it ;)

RECIPE CHANGED???
I used to try all sorts of clumping litters. The flat always smelled like a cat litter box. Then I finally bit the bullet, paid the horrendous price, and followed a friend's recommendation. Since then, there's no other litter for us anymore.
The facts:
- Ultra-durable: lasts about half a year with 4 cats (part-time outdoor cats)!
- Always smells like freshly unpacked IKEA furniture ;)
- Can be disposed of in the toilet
- And yes, the cats do track it around... just like every other litter
But now a quick question for the manufacturer: Since the last bag, it doesn’t clump as well and seems fluffier/breaks apart more easily... Has the formula been changed? Unfortunately, the base litter gets dirty faster now!
That’s why only 4 stars instead of 5!!!

Best litter I've come across so far.
I’m absolutely thrilled with Cats Best Öko Plus... I honestly can’t understand why some people are SO dissatisfied with it.
It’s super efficient and doesn’t smell at all! We have two tomcats, and even before they were neutered, it absorbed the odour brilliantly.
But for me, the absolute top bonus point is that it can be completely disposed of via the toilet. This means you don’t have a smelly bin standing around, and you can just quickly “pop” a clump in to dispose of it during your own toilet trips.
It was recommended to me by friends in forums, and I was more than sceptical at first... partly because of the price... but now... I wouldn’t want to be without it!

Odour-neutralising and easy to use!
Great invention that you can dispose of the cat litter directly in the toilet :-)! The only small downside: it’s a bit dusty – so we’ve switched to "Cat's Best Gold" (also because we have two long-haired tomcats).

Cats Best. Öko Plus
I was very sceptical, but the cat litter is incredibly efficient. We've managed to make it last for almost 5 months now, and that's with two cats. It's absolutely fantastic.

Manure is still positive!
Bought this litter because of the reviews and regretted it. Half of it always ends up in front of the litter box because my cat spends hours scratching around in it. It smells and doesn’t clump well either. For the price, I might as well go back to the one from Lidl.
Absolute rubbish!!

Ugh!
Not our cup of tea – we used it when our kitties were still little, but nowadays the litter smells like urine and faeces after just a few days. On top of that, the litter gets scattered everywhere and you end up stepping on it, crushing it into crumbly bits. Won’t be buying it again!

is consistently avoided
Our two little tomcats have been avoiding the litter box with this litter for over 4 days now. We’ve tried digging around in it with the scoop in front of them, even placed them inside... but they’re consistently avoiding it. Such a shame, as we wanted to try it out because of all the great reviews, but our kitties clearly don’t like it.

Good cat litter that does what it's supposed to – but doesn't work miracles.
I’m actually quite satisfied with the litter.
It smells very nice (at least at the beginning), clumps well, and my two tomcats (with Persian lineage) don’t drag it all over the flat.
However, I’m deducting one star because the efficiency comes with a noticeable decline in quality. While it’s true that a base filling lasts several weeks (and you only need to top up what’s been removed), unfortunately, it becomes very dusty over time, and the oldest litter ends up sifting through the holes in the scoop...
Regarding the comments from others: I find the clumping quite good – the clumps only really fall apart if they’re still very fresh (less than 1–2 hours old) or if you shake them vigorously in the scoop. In my opinion, the individual pieces can also be fished out quite well – though, of course, a chunk that stays intact would be easier :-)
But the most important thing for me is: my cats are happy with the litter – I haven’t seen them complain even once!

We haven’t bought anything else for ages.
It's quite interesting how different the reviews are.
We've been very satisfied buyers of Cat's Best Öko Plus for several years now. All our cats (domestic shorthairs plus kittens, Siamese, Persians) use Öko Plus without any issues. Urine clumps excellently, and faeces stick only minimally, meaning the latter can be flushed down the toilet easily and without any risk of blockage.
An absolute recommendation from us!

Smells bad and crumbles!
After reading so many positive comments, I decided to test Cat's Best Öko Plus cat litter myself. I think it smells like vomit very quickly and sticks terribly to the paws. I have a Persian mix, and this litter was just everywhere. You can't vacuum enough! As for its efficiency, it wasn't worth the price either. The only positive thing is that it's biodegradable, but it doesn't fulfil its actual purpose well enough.

Consistent rejection/really that great?
Based on the countless positive reviews, I decided to try this litter as an alternative and filled one of my two cat litter boxes with it. Both of my cats tested the litter, each peeing in it once, and then consistently refused to use it afterwards. They clearly prefer their usual clumping litter.
In my opinion, the clumping performance is poor, as the clumps crumble very easily when sifting them out.
Unfortunately, no.

Completely satisfied – the best litter in the long run!
5 stars for odour control,
4 stars for clumping,
5 stars for very low dust generation,
5 stars for lightweight,
5 stars for value for money.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
20 negative points for the suggestion that it's okay to dispose of the litter in the toilet!!! (There's a risk of blockages, and it's not eco-friendly as water treatment is resource-intensive!)!!!!!!!!!!
Conclusion... a thoroughly recommendable product for TIN OPENERS!
The only downside: Testing with around 20 foster and own cats shows that if a cat has a choice, it will ALMOST ALWAYS choose a litter box filled with sand. However, due to the many advantages of this product, I’ve decided that my cats won’t have a choice in this case, hahaha! Recommended purchase...

Really true reviews???
I thought I could rely on the positive reviews for this product.
Think again, unfortunately far from it.
It was a real bad purchase.
Clumping does occur, but when scooping it out, the clump falls apart. No odour reduction.

Quality has declined...
Unfortunately! I've been buying this litter for years. But unfortunately, I have to say that the quality has really gone downhill. It crumbles and no longer absorbs odours like it used to. After a few days, it starts to become mushy and sticky.
It used to be such a good cat litter...

'Cat's Best' lives up to its name
I work as a cat sitter, as well as own and foster cats and, having been recommended this litter by a friend and a client, I can honestly say this is simply the best cat litter ever I've used. It really does live up to its name and is odorless, pleasant to use and very economical as it forms easily removable clumps, so only soiled litter is removed. It also has the benefit of being biodegradable & kind to the planet. And the cats seem to like using it too! I now recommend it to all my clients and friends. Fantastic product at fantastic value. Can't praise it enough.

Comprehensive good quality
In summary:
1. Extremely good and efficient clumping!
2. Pleasantly subtle scent of sawdust/wood
3. Price/performance ratio absolutely fine!
The excellent clumping is due to the dried and compressed natural fibre granules, as they expand significantly upon contact with liquid and stick together. Good odour control is guaranteed when absorbing liquid, so the clumps can be disposed of with regular household waste.
The faeces remain almost untouched by the litter, which makes disposal in the toilet much easier.
Result: Very satisfied, we’re sticking with it!

What do some people expect from a litter...?
We've been using it for quite some time now!
We have two Maine Coons, and as far as I can tell, they're happy with it!
I do wonder what some of the negative reviewers expect from an eco-friendly cat litter???
- The fact that the cats occasionally track it into the house happens with every type of litter, surely!
- Even though the manufacturer says it can be disposed of in the toilet, we still throw it in the bin! Obviously, larger clumps would cause blockages!!!
- And as for odour control, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? It's wood! We sprinkle a "cat litter deodorising powder" on top, and it works perfectly for us!
We have a 40-litre bag... and haven't needed to buy a refill for months!
Never saved so much money before :-)

Fantastic!
I have two very sensitive cats when it comes to smells. With this cat litter, it's no longer a problem – not only does it smell pleasantly of wood, but removing their waste is also made much easier thanks to the clumping.

Actually very satisfied, but...
I've been using this litter for several years and was always very satisfied with it. Unfortunately, I've developed an allergy to it myself and can no longer clean the litter box (shortness of breath, blocked nose, and watery eyes). Because of this, I sadly have to switch.
Really such a shame.
