Customers appreciate this cat litter for its effective clumping and odour control, making it a long-time favorite for many. However, recent changes in formula have led to dissatisfaction, with complaints about reduced clumping, increased dust, and tracking issues. Despite these negatives, some users still find it economical and environmentally friendly, praising its lightweight nature and absorbency. Quality reduction & price increase
I've been familiar with this litter for over ten years now. Back then, I had my first cat, and now I have cats again and am using Catsbest once more.
However, the quality has noticeably declined over the past year.
There's an excessive amount of dust—sometimes it feels like a quarter of the entire bag is just dust. With the last bag, the final litter refill from it was actually 50% dust. As a result, it clumped poorly and even clogged (for the first time ever) the toilet, where I occasionally dispose of clumps. This had never caused any issues before.
As I just noticed, the price has also drastically increased: from the previous £22.99 (or £20.99 on offer) to £25.99 (or £23.99 on offer).
This makes the litter quite expensive, and I'm considering whether I’ll continue ordering it at this quality.
The current bag is slightly better again, but still nowhere near as good as it was a few years ago.
Looking at the reviews, I see that others have also noticed the dust issue... otherwise, I might not have trusted my perception so quickly.
What a shame!

Cat's Best Öko Plus Cat Litter
Very good litter. Does all it says on the pack. Buying more after one try.

Finds brilliant!
I've been using this litter for over a year now, and I think it has far too many advantages compared to mineral-based ones. It smells better, can be disposed of via the organic waste bin or the toilet, and the cats accepted it right from the start (even several foster cats became house-trained straight away with this litter). To deal with the crumbs, the cats now simply have a doormat from the DIY store, so it doesn't get spread around the flat as much. However, this is clearly a minor downside of this litter (it's a bit lighter than the mineral-based one).
Despite all that, a definite recommendation to buy!

This cat litter is simply brilliant. Unfortunately, the price keeps going up.

Super cat litter
This litter is absolutely convincing!! You can really flush small amounts down the toilet—no blockages. I tried it out in our new cat litter box. It doesn’t stick to the box or the scoop when wet. We’ve been using it for several months now, and there’s not a single scratch in the litter box because you don’t have to scrape anything off. The clumps that form aren’t hard but small, cohesive, and somehow lightweight. We have three cats and three litter boxes, and you can’t smell anything when you walk into the flat (unless the ladies forgot to cover their mess). The litter is very economical; occasionally topping it up is completely sufficient. After 8 weeks without any unpleasant odours or a litter box that looks sticky, I wondered why I should replace the contents entirely. The only reason was that after such a long time, the litter had a higher dust content due to all the scratching by the cats. Otherwise, I’ve placed a small dirt-trapping mat in front of the box. That’s enough to prevent litter stuck to their paws from being carried all over the flat. I’ve tried so many types of litter. For me, no other cat litter will come into the house except Cat’s Best Öko Plus. I’m completely satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

Good at clumping but really messy
I have an indoor cat and I have a preference to wood based litters. I was impressed with the way the cat litter clumped. However, I've given this a 2 star as I constantly had to sweep up the litter. I've reverted back to my previous brand which is cheaper and not as messy. Glad I tried it but sadly I won't be buying again.

Hello dear animal lovers, I’ve finally decided to try out this litter. I’m thrilled—no more bad smells. It smells like wood. Totally worth the money. You save yourself the constant refilling.
Simply brilliant. Finally, I’m done with the other litter that always ran out so quickly.
So, I would definitely recommend it straight away.

not convinced
POSITIVE:
1. The smell
NEGATIVE:
1. Clumps fall apart when scooping
2. The dirt gets absolutely everywhere and especially sticks to fabrics (an absolute mess monster)
3. When cleaning the litter box (whether wiping or a full clean), the residue smears terribly
4. Dusty – I tested a total of 3 bags...

Super bedding, but you’ll need strong nerves for it.
I've been using this litter for about half a year now. It has really convinced me – it clumps well, doesn't smell, and my cats like it. The only downside is that it crumbles a lot and ends up spreading literally all over the flat, which is starting to annoy me quite a bit because you could basically spend the whole day with the vacuum cleaner in hand. It sticks to every paw, every foot, and every shoe as well. Otherwise, it's definitely worth recommending!

Great
Doesn't smell, clumps well, and I can even flush it down the toilet—what more could you want? Oh, and the cat loves it too!

Great cat litter
I've been using this litter for about 5 years now. The great thing about it is that you can dispose of it via the organic waste bin. The kitties just love it. The dust and crumbling are just part of it, but for me, that's not a drawback.

never again
I’m still on the hunt for the perfect cat litter. It should be odour-binding and clumping. This litter has been more than disappointing. It spreads around the flat like a crumb monster, doesn’t clump, and the odour control is downright awful. I would never buy this litter again – very disappointing.

Leo was sceptical :-)
I was thrilled! Light, fluffy, and super efficient! Really great. I previously had a good cat litter, but I have to admit, this one is truly better! Just my opinion. Leo (my darling turns 1 year old on 08/05/12) was a bit sceptical at first (which he’s allowed to be... after all, it’s his loo :-), but now he’s totally fine with it and has taken to it really well! I’ll keep using it :-)

We have been very satisfied so far.
Only now does this litter produce so much dust that the cats leave the toilet sneezing! It's also very unpleasant for humans during cleaning. After 5 years, I’m reluctant to change the litter, but I’ll probably have to start looking for alternatives.

We love it!
We – and of course our feline friend – are absolutely thrilled with this cat litter.
We primarily bought this litter because we could no longer stand the smell (those perfumed cat litters like "Spring Scent" & co. stink up the whole flat in no time) or the dust from mineral-based cat litters. On top of that, our cat always digs a pretty deep hole, which meant the conventional litter would always stick to the bottom as a clump.
This litter, on the other hand, only gives off a pleasantly subtle woody scent in the immediate vicinity (kind of like the wood section in a DIY store ;)) and binds odours exceptionally well. We’re also impressed with how it clumps. Finally, nothing sticks to the bottom of the tray anymore, as liquids are absorbed before they even reach the base.
Overall, thanks to these factors, we need to completely change the litter much less frequently. The slightly higher initial cost is more than offset by its significantly longer durability and efficiency – we believe that in the long run, this litter is not only more cost-effective but also much more satisfying. It’s also worth mentioning that compared to the previous litters we’ve used from other (even well-known) brands, this one produces significantly less dust, if any at all.
A big shoutout to Zooplus as well – the processing and shipping were, as always, excellent! Thank you!

Quality fluctuations
We’ve been using this litter for our domestic shorthair indoor cats for almost 10 years and have always been highly satisfied until now. The litter was unbeatable in terms of yield, clumping, and acceptance by our cats. Unfortunately, the last few bags showed significant quality fluctuations. Either the litter was so dusty that our cats came back from the toilet looking powdered and sneezing, or it was so "non-dusty" that the clumping didn’t work properly. The urine practically runs through, and the small clumps that do form crumble when lifted out.
Such a shame, but now we’ll have to look for a different cat litter.

Highly recommended
Our kitten has a very sensitive nose and often has problems with her little eyes. This is the first cat litter she can tolerate without her eyes watering or her sneezing. Natural litter is simply the best for a cat's health. Besides, it clumps well, and the few grains that end up lying around are no problem for me. Plus, this litter doesn’t create dust like I’ve experienced with so many others before. I’ve been using this litter for a few months now, and since our little one’s wellbeing is very close to my heart, there’ll be nothing else for her anymore. Only the best for our best.

1+ for Eco Plus
Finally, a cat litter that clumps properly and doesn’t crumble when cleaning.
I’m thrilled. No smell, no dust, and the tomcat is happy too ;)

I think it's great, my tomcat is still slightly sceptical.
Well, I’m thrilled! It doesn’t smell, is super lightweight, and easy to dispose of – practical!
My Leo (British Shorthair), an 8-month-old tomcat, was a bit confused at first but got used to it quickly. Unfortunately, I have to admit that he does scatter the litter all over the bathroom, but oh well… he used to artistically scatter the other litter around the bathroom too! There are worse things, right?
So, I’ll definitely order it again!
