Class Bedding
I bought this litter to use alongside Tierwohlstreu to line my guinea pig enclosure. Each time, I spread a thin layer of Cats Best and then a thicker layer of Tierwohl Classic/Super on top.
It absorbs very well; I haven’t noticed any clumping yet. Instead, it forms patches that stick to the bottom but are still easy to remove.
It’s not eaten—my little ones find it completely uninteresting.
I’m not sure if it’s flushable. But even with six guinea pigs, there’s no urine smell after 2–3 days!

Very good!
I've been using this litter for a long time and I'm sticking with it because it clumps perfectly and is compostable. Plus, the litter is noticeably lighter than others. It has a pleasant wood scent, and my two kitties are happy with it.

Don't understand the positive reviews.
After hearing and reading only good things about this litter, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I’m completely disappointed. Clumping: Well, it falls apart, and there are small yellow clumps everywhere that you can’t sift out. On top of that, I first had to buy a suitable scoop, and even with that, cleaning takes multiple times longer than with bentonite clumping litter. My cats also prefer digging in sand over this litter. On the positive side, it hasn’t smelled so far (1.5 weeks). But that’s about it for us, as I wouldn’t dispose of it in the toilet anyway. So, I’ll be switching back to bentonite litter and donating the rest of the CÖBP to a cat rescue organisation.

Nothing else goes in our litter tray anymore!
We are absolutely thrilled! After trying various other brands, we ended up with "Cat's Best Öko Plus" based on a recommendation. To keep it short: super economical, easy to clean thanks to good clumping, a pleasant fresh wood scent, the cat likes it too, and far less litter gets tracked into the house compared to previous products. Based on our experience, highly recommended!

I'm so glad I discovered this litter!
It doesn’t create dust, smells nice, and forms clumps very well. On top of that, it’s compostable in the garden, which helps reduce waste in the bin!
I can only confirm the “very good” rating from Stiftung Warentest!

Depending on the batch, very inconsistent quality.
The litter clumps really well in the toilet at first. Unfortunately, this diminishes after a few weeks. Depending on the batch, it can be very dusty, so the cats end up sitting in a cloud of dust while burying their waste. Hence, only three stars.

The best litter I know!
The litter is simply brilliant – it neutralises odours, is easy to clean, lasts a long time, and you hardly get that "sand everywhere" effect. I'm sticking with this litter – it's just fantastic and also suitable for long-haired cats.

Highly recommended
I've been using this cat litter for years now. It's lightweight – sometimes a bit too lightweight – economical, odour-binding, and eco-friendly. What more could you want?
The only reason I’m deducting one point is because it’s a bit too light, which means my kitty unintentionally spreads it all over the flat.

Best litter
I’ve tried several types of litter before, but this one finally delivers on its promises. It has a pleasant natural scent (not too strong) and stays fresh for a long time. My two indoor cats love it too, and it clumps well.

Super bedding!
I've been using CÖB for years, and there's nothing better. I tried bentonite litter in between, but it didn't convince me.

Best eco bedding at an affordable price
I have 3 cats and all of them take to this eco litter very well. You can use it for a long time and the clumps are easy to remove. Just top it up with fresh litter.

Lives up to its name "Best".
I can only recommend it. The only small drawback is that the litter sticks quite a bit to the paws and gets spread around, but that's what brooms and vacuum cleaners are for... In any case, it's very odour-inhibiting and easy to dispose of.

Good in the loo
I find the litter very good for the toilet. If fresh clumps aren’t completely dry yet, I just sprinkle some dry litter on top, and then the clump can be disposed of very easily. Overall, good clumping properties and very economical—it lasts forever. However, the granules stick quite a lot to the paws, and the cats spread it all over the flat (though they’ve done this with every litter so far). Unfortunately, it also sticks quite well to the cosy blanket or the cat beds. But for the price, it’s great and one of the best coarse litters I’ve had so far.

Cat's Best Öko Plus Cat Litter
Because it absorbs odours well, can be disposed of via the toilet, and is long-lasting.

Excitement quickly faded
After our initial enthusiasm, we quickly switched to a fine bentonite litter. Cat's Best always turned into sawdust with a high dust factor after a short time... and our two cats aren't particularly vigorous diggers. After testing one litter box with bentonite litter and the other with Cat's Best, our cats made their decision clear: the litter box with Cat's Best ended up not being used at all. It's a shame because we liked the smell, clumping properties, and disposal!

Smells pleasant and is easy to dispose of.
Our cats love this cat litter because it smells very pleasant, even after the cats have done their business in the toilet, and it’s easy to dispose of. Highly recommended.

Very economical
We have 3 cats, but a 40-litre bag lasts us a very long time because you only need to dispose of the clumps or urine balls. Straight into the toilet – really a great thing. The relatively high price is justified as you don’t have to completely clean the litter boxes very often. For us, no other litter is an option.

This litter is fantastic!
The cat litter is very good at clumping, not too harsh on the cats' paws. It’s biodegradable and can be flushed down the toilet. It doesn’t get better than this.

Perfect with a minor flaw
Overall, I consider this litter ideal. It has a pleasant smell even after a long time in the cat litter box, is highly absorbent, economical, and, above all, can be disposed of via the compost.
The only downside: the litter crumbs all over the house and on the furniture, which aren’t easy to vacuum up.
Therefore, only 4 out of 5 possible stars.

Currently my favourite
I've had cats for 17 years now and, like everyone, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect cat litter ;)
I'm very happy with this one – it doesn't smell, lasts a long time, the cats accept it, and it clumps nicely. The only small issue is that the large bag tends to have more dust than litter towards the bottom. That's why I always buy the 20-litre bags instead of the 40-litre ones. They're also easier to handle.
