Karlie White Cat Flap with 4-Way Closure

I bought it for the outdoor cat house. Overall, it's okay—it opens and closes well, and the cats quickly learned how to use it. However, the placement of the direction adjustment feet at the bottom is problematic because the cats keep hitting them with their paws and moving them. It's already happened a few times that I've found them out of place, and the cats couldn't get in or out because the door got stuck either in the open or closed position.

The flap has only been installed for a few weeks and already the upper bracket of the swinging lid has broken.
