Solid flap for glass installation
We have a total of three of these flaps in use for our three outdoor cats. The quality is very good, although the seal on the door (thermal insulation) could still be improved.

Fine, but not suitable for clever cats
For a few years, the flap has worked perfectly. But now a Bengal cat has joined the household, and she refuses to accept being locked out. Despite being just under 5 months old, she managed to break the locking mechanism. Reattaching it was possible once, but then the plastic gave up the ghost.
Conclusion: The flap works perfectly as long as your housemates are calm and peaceful (e.g., British Shorthairs)!

Hello, when I bought this cat flap, I first read through some of the reviews. Now, looking back, I have to say I don’t understand what the problem is, especially for the price. I have two cats who regularly go in and out, the flap has been installed in the balcony door, it’s quiet, the magnet holds well (so well that at first my girls had trouble opening the door...) and it hardly lets any cold through. So, I can definitely recommend it.

4-way cat flap practical and good.
Bought the same cat flap again after 18 years. The workmanship isn’t as nice anymore, and it’s not as sturdy as the old one either. But I was glad it was still available at all. The cut-out doesn’t allow for any other option.
I repaired the old one a few times at the hinge with superglue.
The old sliding locks were sturdier too.
I don’t know yet how good the new one is.
All in all, though, I’m satisfied with both flaps.

Cat-proof, but not child-proof
Our cats get along well with this product, but unfortunately, our children removed the magnet that keeps the door upright. Sadly, this magnet can't be ordered separately, so now we need flap no. 2.

Independent tomcat
We have a small balcony protected by a net. For the balcony door, we had a new pane of glass installed by the window fitter – with a hole for the flap. The flap itself is easy to mount.
And my two tomcats quickly figured out that they can now go onto the balcony whenever THEY want, rather than waiting for me to finally get up. Since that day, the litter box has also been on the balcony (I’m curious to see how that works out in winter...). The flap opens relatively easily but still holds up against the wind. Unfortunately, I don’t know how well it insulates, as it hasn’t been very cold yet.
But I’m always happy and delighted when I see my two running in – running out – running in – running out – running in – running out, without me having to get up from the couch – and, of course, when I’m at work all day. I think they might even sleep on the balcony – but I’m not entirely sure about that.

Independent cats
We have two tomcats and a balcony protected with a cat net. We had a new glass pane installed in our balcony door, which included the "hole" for the flap.
Installing the flap was straightforward.
The cats quickly figured out how it works – within about 10 minutes.
The flap opens with relatively little pressure but doesn’t open due to the wind.
We have double-glazed insulation. The flap itself is made of transparent plastic.
Surprisingly, even with snow and cold weather, very little cold air gets in.
Friends have told me that the flap can freeze shut, but for us, no rain or snow reaches the flap.
All I can say is – the cats use the flap very diligently, and we’re glad about it!

Daily endurance test with three cats!
We had this cat flap installed in the insulated glass window of our living room.
The flap leads to our secured terrace and has been used at least 100 times a day for the past 1 1/2 years, as we have three cats who go in and out very frequently.
So far, nothing has broken, even though our youngest sometimes refuses to believe it's locked.
The only downside is that in winter, the flap sometimes freezes, so the cats can get out but can't get back in.

The flap could be sturdier.
I’ve already read a similar comment. We’re now on our third replacement as well. Unfortunately, you always have to buy a complete cat flap with the mounting frame; it would be enough if you could just purchase the door separately. Even better, of course, would be an improvement in quality so that the breakage of the mounting brackets at the top right and left doesn’t happen in the first place. Otherwise, I can highly recommend this flap for installation in standard lattice metal basement windows. It works just like in a glass window—just cut out the opening, install it, and you’re done.

Cat flap
The cat flap is good. Unfortunately, our cat (3 years old) still doesn’t want to use it – she’s very timid and prefers to stay cold. However, we’re still working on it.

Cat flap
I’ve had the door for just over a year now and have been very happy with it, but last night, at -15°C, it froze for the first time! So Sandra’s experience isn’t an isolated case. My two lady cats were already two years old when I had the door installed, and they got the hang of it straight away. But my little tomcat only managed to open the flap himself when he was about six months old; before that, he kept trying unsuccessfully.

Good lid
The flap works perfectly, and our two cats are delighted that they can now go into the garden whenever they want, and we’re happy that we no longer have to keep opening the front door.
The only small downside (applies to all Cat Mate flaps): unfortunately, they’re not quite as silent as they could be. Better mounting of the flap would prevent the rattling noises. It’s not an issue in the basement, but it is in the bedroom door.
