Pretty good for the price
Smilla is a decent grain-free food and very reasonably priced. I have gotten it for my cats quite a few times.
Occasionally I will find a large piece of fat (1-2 inch) that hasn't been broken down properly. I tried to see if my cat could chew through it once, but it was discarded, and I fear could lead to a choking hazard if left unsupervised. It's quite prominent, so easy you pick out and discard before serving though, but just a rare annoyance with them.

Batch dependent
I started to believe that there must be some quality difference from batch to batch.
We have been buying Smilla for over 2 years and both cats would wolf a batch and then completely refuse another one.
I can’t explain it in any other way.
From wolfing one week to starving the next.

Too much fat
Unfortunately, there are too many white streaks and clumps in it, which come from the fat. Otherwise, it’s well received, but I’d rather go back to higher-quality food.

Often half empty
Unfortunately, I'm not entirely convinced by the food. I often opened the tins and they didn't smell very appetising, plus they were half empty. My cats eat the food, but not exactly with much enthusiasm. Perhaps a manufacturing defect? I've now switched to a different food.

Fat pieces
The tomcat does eat the food, but there are some massive chunks of fat in the tin. I don’t find that particularly appealing and haven’t come across it in any other food before.

Poultry pot with fish
Both my cats absolutely love all the poultry pots, but when it comes to the tins with fish, they eat them very slowly or prefer the dry food instead. They're usually good and fast eaters, but I won't be buying these again. Guess I've spoiled them too much!

Quite alright!
Cats eat the food, visually flawless, smell is acceptable.

Smells good
Although it was devoured the first and second time, my girl threw it back up just as quickly. Such a shame, as it smells really good and she seems to like the taste, but I can't give it to her anymore. Now I'm stuck here with 20 cans 😕

Not so popular!
My two "tigers" unfortunately don't like eating it very much and mostly leave it lying there :(
Either mine are too spoiled or I have no idea why! Normally, they practically "inhale" everything that's fed to them! Such a shame, but this item won't be landing in our shopping cart again!

They don't like it very much.
Normally, I only feed my cats food with a high meat content, preferably muscle meat. But I thought I’d try something different as an additional option. My two indoor cats only nibble on small bites of it and walk away after a short time. Usually, I mix the leftovers into fresh cat food, but with Smilla, I decided to throw the rest away and donate the remaining tins to the cats at the animal shelter. I won’t be buying Smilla again because my two don’t like eating it, and it contains vegetable oils. Additionally, the proportion of muscle meat isn’t clearly specified, and the type and amount of by-products are mostly not listed. The crude fibre content is also sometimes too high. Personally, I’d rate Smilla Poultry Pot as a mid-range food and Smilla Fish Pot as good cat food. It’s safe to feed, but if you value truly high-quality food, you should opt for something else.

Cats don't eat every type.
My cats will only eat the variety with poultry hearts, the rest gets completely ignored :/
Such a shame!!

Good composition, unfortunately it’s not being eaten.
Maybe because cats prefer everything in sauce. Unfortunately not!

Unfortunately, not so popular.
I tried this with poultry hearts to test it. During the first trial, it went down really well. Unfortunately, after that, not at all. The second attempt after a long break was the same. It’s eaten only reluctantly or not at all. This is probably partly due to the texture, as ours clearly prefer chunks over "mush".
The food still has a recognisable meat structure and seems quite dry. But with a bit of water in the bowl, it’s not really a problem.

Doesn't go down so well
Unfortunately, it’s only eaten reluctantly, and leftovers remain.

Only partially accepted
Our cat only tried it briefly and hasn’t touched it again since, even after waiting a long time and offering it repeatedly. However, our tomcat quite likes it. Therefore, we won’t be buying it again for both of them. It’s actually a shame, as I find the price-performance ratio very good.

Only partially arrives...
Based on the relatively good reviews and the price-performance ratio, we decided to try Smilla Poultry Pot for a change. Our cat only took one bite and then left the rest. Our tomcat, who is an "eat-anything type," completely emptied the bowl. Unfortunately, we won’t be buying it again for our British Shorthair.
