My cat didn't like it
I recently adopted a senior cat and I got this food because this is what the foster home recommended. Unfortunately my cat hated it and was refusing to eat.

Wouldn't eat
I have a cat who has kidney disease, due to vet overdosing. She won't eat renal food and I think the smell puts her off. Thought this one, as lower in the things she needs in her food would be a good try as she likes jelly based/ Sadly, no, not this either. It's a bit of a try buying Royal C, they never say what the actual flav of the food is, so if your cat dislikes fish flav, or beef for example, there's every chance RC food is those flavours. It's really annoying as it's expensive mistakes.

Both of them tolerate it very well. One of my cats quickly gets itchy fur (allergy). Choosing the right food is therefore a balancing act. She likes the taste of this food and tolerates it well. My other cat, who’s a bit picky, always looks forward to this food too. On behalf of my two sweethearts, I’m giving 5 stars.
A tip for fellow cat owners: Just add a bit of water to the pouch, then the food comes away from the pouch and the jelly softens. Seems to taste even better. ;o)

Food
My older cat loves these in jelly and gravy and they are cheap to buy.

Very popular choice
My cat is only allowed senior food due to liver problems, and she absolutely loves it.

My cat won't eat it.
My 17-year-old Chartreux cat won’t eat it; she prefers Felix Doubly Delicious Jelly from the pouch.

Recommended food
My older cat now eats the food very well. Especially because of the small pieces, it’s easy for him to eat. Unfortunately, there’s only a little jelly included, so it’s a bit dry.

Sugar
I thought I had finally found THE food for my senior cat, especially since the selection and variety overall aren't very extensive. Then, to my shock, I read that the ingredients contain SUGAR. Older cats are often prone to diabetes, as is mine. For years, we've been careful to choose food without any sugar content, but I hadn't expected it in the senior versions. Such a shame – now the search continues for varied cat food for older cats...

Disappointed
My 14-year old fussy female loves the gravy version of this food and it improves her agility. However for some strange reason, she won't eat it with jelly. Recommend to other cat-owners, try small pack first.

Very happy cat
Smartie is 15 and really enjoys this food. In fact she manages to get three sachets (or more if possible!) a day. The dogs sit outside the door waiting for left overs, they should know by now Smartie leaves nothing! Great product. Our pets love the Rpyal Canin range.

Product description is misleading
Although this food claims to come with sauce, you’ll be searching for it in vain. It’s wetter than regular wet food, but there’s no sauce to be found. Such a shame. R.Z.

They are most excited about this food!
At last I've found a quality food for our two kitties. They were rescued at 6 months and after a year I still felt 1 was a little undernourished. I chose this Royal Canin Kitten Instinctive with Gravy and they could not believe their luck. They are looking far pouffier and fluffier fur wise with nice soft shiny coats and bright eyes. The 1 who was on the thinner side is now looking far less scrawny!!
I don't feel dry food alone was suiting them. I feel this is reasonably priced and I only give 1 quarter of pouch each of this twice a day so 1 pouch a day between 2 of them is enough to satisfy their hunger alongside the delicious Royal Canin biscuits. This brand is amazing - they sniff at other brands even the other "posher" kinds!! Do give this a try for your cats/kittens - you won't regret it!

No waste
I have two cats and my Oriental is a very fussy eater. She likes to lick the jelly or gravy and leave the chunks, which usually results in lots of wasted, dried-up meat. With this Royal Canin food she eats the lot, so although it is expensive it is also good value for money.

very good
Our cat is a bit overweight and we tried Royal Canning ultra light to help her to go back to her normal self. She has an injury and is not very active. She loves this wet food and it keeps her full for a quite sometime compare to other foods. And she is losing weight now.

Current favourite
What can I say? I haven't tasted it, but the cat likes it - even more than the gravy version. From the human perspective, it doesn't have a strong odour so that's a big plus. (Although I'm sure she will eventually go off it, as she does with all foods, it's currently the favourite and hopefully it will hold the top spot as long as the gravy one did!)

For over a year now, both the tomcat and his owner have been happy.
Finally, "we" – my British Shorthair tomcat Gucci and I – have found the right food with the Royal Canin value pack: Instinctive in Gravy and Digest Sensitive. No more diarrhoea, and every day he looks forward to it again and polishes off everything. Thanks to the value pack offer, the price is right too, so we're all happy.

The best thing you can give your cat!
The food is very good, and the bargain price is an absolute steal.

'The best or nothing' or 'Quality is no accident' :-)
Our tomcat Zizou has been exclusively fed Royal Canin, both dry and wet, ever since we adopted him at the age of one. Before that, he was only given cheap, generic food, and his physique and coat were not very appealing. Now he’s in top shape, has a great figure, and his coat shines incredibly. Even the vet is very pleased with HIM.
