Balanced, grain-free complete food for adult cats aged 1–6 years, made with only fresh meat and natural taurine, completely free from colourings and preservatives, and containing no soya.

Cats love meat because it reflects their natural diet. Plant-based ingredients alone are unsuitable for a species-appropriate and natural diet, as cats cannot obtain or absorb all essential nutrients from them. Furthermore, cereals are a common cause of food intolerances and are often difficult to digest.

For this reason, animonda Carny Adult contains no cereals in its recipe. Soya, which also has a high allergenic potential, is likewise excluded. Only fresh meat ingredients such as heart, lung, muscle meat and liver are used as valuable sources of protein. These particularly high-quality animal proteins also provide your feline friend with natural taurine – an amino acid essential for cats. Taurine supports normal heart function and healthy vision. As cats cannot produce sufficient taurine themselves, it must be supplied through their diet.

No artificial colours or preservatives are added. Enriched with important vitamins and minerals, this food provides your cat with everything it needs for a balanced and complete diet.

Great food

I loved the quality of the food. My cats enjoyed it but I do wish they came in smaller containers as each prefer a different flavour and I hate having multiple tins open at once.

Sensitive diet

I have a 9-year-old male cat who is extremely sensitive to almost everything he eats. The animonda Carny adult is fabulous. His digestive system, pain, and IBS have all reduced. The price is great, comparable to James Wellbeloved grain free, for example, which is sbout the only other product he is coping with at the moment. I highly recommend trying this if you want to feed your cat wet food that is gentle on their stomach.

Recently purchased for my cat

I thought I’d try this as it was less costly than wild freedom but my cat wasn’t as keen. She left a bit in her bowl which is unusual. I will probably go back to wild freedom.

Recipe change

My cat used to love this, it was his main diet but the recipe has changed. He is now sick with 10 mins of eating just a teaspoon. It smells different and has a different texture too. Such a shame as he’s diabetic and this was perfect.

Had high hopes for this brand and it is good value. Looks good but my two cats did take to it for some reason. Back to the drawing board!

It's changed...

My cat used to love this but the last batch I bought is completely different. It is brighter in colour, which i admit looks fresher but more like a soft pate. It used to have bugger lumps and jelly, no jelly in this. Whatever theyve done to change it has made my cat refuse to eat it...

Cat liked but some cans were bulging

i bought several types of 200g cat food of varying brands, this being one of them. and at least half of the cans from each pack was bulging. i thought maybe that was just how it was. they weren't leaking or anything, just bulging. Upon feeding my cat, i noticed he wouldn't touch the foods that came from the bulging cans but would eat the same flavors fine from the non-bulging cans. Its just such a shame that half of the food came inedible when its really good food.

Was looking for an affordable meat heavy wet food and I’m so glad I came across this brand (and website) recommended in a few reddit threads. I was worried they’d take some time to get used to the change (they were getting whiskas wet food before) but they took to it right away and clean their bowls everytime! They’re more energetic and happy and their coats are so shiny. I love that the cans are recyclable aswell. Genuinely an amazing product for them and peace of mind that they’re eating well.

Seems very good

I bought a range of high protein food to wean my two cats off of felix tasty shreds. This is the first one they’ve tried and so far so good. Both eating it. It looks much healthier and substantial. To me it smells like corned beef.

Great food for a diabetic cat

Our cat really enjoys the different flavours and it helps manage her diabetes.

Very good high meat content pate food

Ths is one of the good ones. No rubbish added. Due to being high meat content it will flll your cat whereas the 'foods' with grain pass through quickly and can cause digestive issues. Good meaty pate.

My cat wouldn't touch it

My cat loves the Ferringa pure meat rabbit, and i was hoping this would be a replacement. But she would rather go without than eat this.

Not universally loved

my Maine Coon won't touch it, my Siamese will eat it although he doesn;t rush to it and doen't clear his plate. I probably won't buy it again.

Good quality, high meat content food

I transitioned my Portuguese rescue cat from the likes of Felix about a year ago, initially onto Lily's kitchen but he wasn't overly keen. This meat has a better consistency, which he obviously prefers to the smooth patés, and he appears very happy with all the varieties I offer him. Good to know he's not eating unnecessary sugar and other nasties.
