This could be so much better if the clips holding the cage panels locked into place, however, they don’t so the whole thing threatens to fall apart when the cage is lifted off the base. Wish I’d spent a little bit more and got a normal cage without all the plastic trims.

This cage has many good points. It is a very good size for the price with quality accessories. I love the door catch and bar spacing. It should have been quick to assemble as I have set up cages before. It would not slot together flushly. There are gaps where joints should be flush so consequently falls apart when you remove the top section from the base. After doing research this seems to be a common problem. It is a shame as would have given more stars otherwise.

Assembly was tedious on my own; everything kept falling apart, and I constantly had to start over from scratch. The cage also had a design flaw, and now the door can only be opened from the inside—there was no other way to make it work. The cage is intended as a nesting space for my pregnant rat, but I find it very flimsy and unstable. Definitely made in China and absolutely not worth the 89.90 CHF. Sorry I couldn’t give a better review.

This cage is definitely too small for rats. The minimum dimensions for 2 animals are 80cm wide, 50cm deep, and 80cm high. And yes, those 10 centimetres really do make a difference. After all, you're already at the lower limit of the required measurements, so there shouldn't be any leeway. I would only use this cage as a temporary solution during integration or illness. Otherwise, it's just very expensive plastic junk. For 30 euros more (and surely your little ones are worth that, aren't they?), you can get a truly suitable, spacious cage here in the shop.
