Super great cage for fancy mice
The cage is very spacious and offers plenty of room to add climbing options and decorate the cage in a mouse-friendly way. A really great deal for the price!
The only thing that could be improved is the wheel.
I definitely recommend this product to pet mouse owners.

Super cage, but...
The cage is great. Our hyperactive dwarf hamster has plenty of space in it.
The workmanship of the cage itself is excellent, as was the shipping.
BUT:
Unfortunately, during shipping, the holder for the exercise wheel (20cm diameter, which is actually sufficient for the hamster) got damaged, so it can't be used. Additionally, all the wood (platform, stairs & hut) is unfortunately splintered at the edges, so it had to be sanded down.
So, a bit annoying...

Good format, no major complaints.
The only points of criticism:
The material of the base tray is quite wobbly and was very warped downwards, causing the cage to wobble. This could be fixed with a hairdryer.
The wooden parts tend to fray/splinter a bit.
The hamster wheel is okay in size for dwarf hamsters, but the crossbars on the running surface might not be ideal.
Apart from that, it's really good for the sale price.
The little doors at the front are great, allowing my hamster to climb in and out on its own using a ladder for exercise.

Nice cage, but...
I had ordered the cage for my female hamster and had to realise that the cage does not quite match the dimensions stated. The cage has a length of 105 cm, which corresponds to the Skyline Ricardo Super R cage. This cage also has these dimensions.
Since I didn’t want such a large cage, I had to return it due to this and other circumstances, which was very unfortunate.
However, for anyone with a larger pet, it is recommended.

Very good
I think the cage is really good!! It's very spacious, and the little house + platform are already included, even made of wood :-)
The exercise wheel isn't quite as tiny as some others, but it should ideally be replaced with a larger one (possibly also made of wood). (That's why I deducted 1 star)
We added some more climbing and play options, pretty much perfect :-)
It's also easy to clean and disinfect if necessary.
I think the price is great too! (just under €60)
Highly recommended!!

Overall, a good small animal cage
I use the cage for my golden hamster, and it meets all the requirements: the base is deep enough for bedding, the length and width comply with legal standards, and the height allows for the installation of a platform.
Unfortunately, there are still a few drawbacks: the bottom is slightly curved upwards, meaning that at least in the centre of the cage, a bedding depth of 15 cm cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, the included platform is too short and collapses under even very light weight. The house should not be used as a primary house for hamsters, as it only consists of one room and does not mimic the natural multi-chamber burrow. Moreover, the wheel in my unit couldn’t be attached at all.
But as I said, all in all, it’s a good small animal cage with a suitable bar spacing and well-placed flaps for opening.

Robust, affordable, offering plenty of space
For my dwarf hamster, the cage is big enough. With additional hiding and play options made of wood, a "hamster habitat" has now been created. Price and service are very customer-friendly... happy to buy here again anytime!

affordable small rodent cage
I've had the Barney cage for two weeks now, and my dwarf hamster is very happy inside. I did have to replace the ladder with a willow bridge, but all in all, it's a great solution for animals that need a suitable habitat. Bravo, I've finally found something that's also easy to clean.

Affordable rodent cage
Today I received the Barney rodent cage and set it up straight away, which wasn’t difficult. However, the wooden ladder is unusable because my dwarf hamster slips and can’t climb up. So I used a willow bridge as a ladder instead, and now it works. You should consider designing the ladder rungs in a way that allows the little hamster paws to climb up properly. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Nice and spacious
There could be more accessories included. The house is not great when it comes to assembling it. You could add:
1 water bottle
1 bowl
and a wooden wheel – just a tip for the price. But otherwise, it's really great.
I recommend removing the house.

Perfect for beginners
We ordered the cage for a Dzungarian dwarf hamster and received it within two days. It matches the description exactly. Assembly is very easy. Installing the wooden platform was a bit fiddly. The three doors close very tightly, and the entire cage rattles and shakes when you try to open or close them. Fortunately, our fearless hamster doesn’t seem to mind. With a bit of skill and carefully applied force, you can bend the metal so that it closes securely and makes less noise. The cage meets the legally required minimum dimensions for animal welfare and has a sufficiently deep base for burrowing animals. The wooden accessories are well-made. However, we don’t understand why a plastic exercise wheel is included in a rodent cage (hence one point deducted). The little animals can chew on the plastic accessories and get sick from it. The cage is so tall and spacious that you can easily add another level with more hideouts to combat boredom (for both the pet and the owner). The base is easy to clean, and the narrow bar spacing makes the cage escape-proof. So: remove the exercise wheel, and you’ll have happy pets. A good choice.

Good for Roborowskis
My Roborowskis feel very comfortable in the cage. The bar spacing is nice and small, though the top door is a bit stiff.
The plastic exercise wheel doesn’t really match the look of the cage; a wooden wheel would have been more suitable.
For the price of €39.99, it’s a decent cage with a hamster-friendly basic setup.
It would be great if it were available at this price more often, because when you do the maths...
And especially for people with limited budgets, their hamster shouldn’t have to suffer in a small, cheap cage just because it’s not financially "feasible."
Please list it as an offer again! Then this cage is a real alternative.

Meets minimum standards
The cage meets the minimum size requirements for a dwarf hamster, so it’s suitable for keeping them. However, I find the price a bit excessive, so I’m deducting one point.

Lovely cage!
A lovely cage with a deep base tray. Ideal for digging. It's also big enough for my two mice.
The exercise wheel, however, could have been left out.
It's completely unsuitable. I replaced it with a high-quality wooden exercise wheel.
The doors are somewhat tricky to close in places, and the bars are bent. All in all, though, it's a good cage for the price.

Meets the minimum size requirements for hamsters - wheel unsuitable
The cage meets the minimum space requirements for a hamster. The small plastic exercise wheel is unsuitable for hamsters. The rest of the accessories are only suitable for dwarf hamsters.

Perfect for my dwarf hamster!
The cage is not only sufficiently large for a dwarf hamster and has suitable bars, but it also features a super practical large opening at the top, through which you can easily remove plenty of stuff for redecorating. The base tray is nice and deep, though I did replace the exercise wheel – unfortunately, that was a bit of a downside. The large door also got stuck a few times, and my hamster almost escaped because I apparently didn’t close it properly (well, my mistake, but what I wanted to point out: the top door needs to be checked, as it doesn’t "click" into place very easily).
All in all – an absolutely recommendable cage!
Best regards
