Suitable for fancy mice
Large cage with plenty of space for small animals, perfect for my fancy mice as the bar spacing is small enough to prevent them from squeezing through. I can truly only recommend it.

Great cage
This cage provides great space in length and depth. I originally owned the Barney 80cm old version. Now I am delighted with the bigger size and the large lid on th top make sit easier to access the cage.

Fantastic hamster cage
This is a great, large Hamster cage that more than meets the 100cm x 50cm minimum cage size in the Uk. The base holds about 17cm of substrate and because it has narrow, 7mm bar spacing, the bedding doesn't fall out - so you can have 20cm or deeper bedding. The bar spacing is good for dwarf hamsters as well. However, with deeper bedding, this cage is more suited to Dwarf hamsters maybe as it's only 46cm. It could be suitable for a Syrian hamster as well with a deep bedding end.

We received it very promptly.
Lots of space to set up nicely.

At this great price, there’s nothing to complain about. Thank you :)

Great mouse cage
Quite spacious for mice, though a few gaps were a bit concerning, so I quickly rewired them. But for the price, you can't complain. You only find something this big and affordable second-hand otherwise.

Skyline Barney Rodent Cage A DREAM 😊
A true dream home for my teddy hamster Eddie, who spent all of yesterday exploring the entire cage and then made real joyful leaps.
Large sleeping house and tiered shelf included.
Eddie's large Trixie wooden exercise wheel, digging corner, hay corner – everything is possible.
The cage arrived yesterday in perfect condition thanks to excellent packaging. Delivery was within two days, super sturdy quality, affordable price.
It doesn't get any better than this. Highly, highly recommended!!!!!!!!

Lovely cage
The size is fine for my golden hamster and meets the minimum requirements that should be provided. I removed the house, and the wheel is too small even for a dwarf hamster (also removed). The platform is sturdy and secure. The base tray is fine.

Gold hamster Balu
The cage is really good, and it works perfectly for my golden hamster. He doesn’t like climbing, so I didn’t even put the ladder in. He prefers running and digging. The cage is absolutely fantastic, very spacious, and he loves running around in it. I also ordered the wheel from Trixie with a 28cm diameter, which is really big, and he runs on it all night long.

Super cage for dwarf hamsters
I have a dwarf hamster hybrid, and with the size of this cage, he’s well taken care of and has plenty of space. The exercise wheel should have a diameter of at least 20cm, which is the case here, but we still replaced it with a 20cm wheel from Trixie. For golden and teddy hamsters, this wheel is not suitable as it’s too small. We also bought a digging tower here at Zooplus, which allows him to satisfy his digging instincts. Our dwarf hamster is also tame and, of course, gets to leave the cage occasionally to enjoy some free roaming. All in all, no hamster should be kept in a cage smaller than 1 metre, so this cage is fantastic and highly recommended. It arrived quickly and undamaged via DHL. TOP!!!!!!!!

Super, but WARNING!
The cage is really great. The previous version was only 80cm long. At 1m, this cage is now even better and ideal for, for example, fancy mice.
But WARNING: I also ordered this cage during the cold winter months (December/January), and the plastic base arrived damaged every time. Returning it wasn’t a problem, but it’s still quite annoying. This time, I ordered in July and chose shipping via the postal service, and the cage arrived undamaged :)

Superb cage. The price/performance ratio is perfect. In some pet shops, you often only get small cages for the same money. My dwarf hamster feels very comfortable, though the ladder could have had more grooves as he slips a bit because of it. I also really love the top opening, and assembly was super easy. I can only recommend this cage!! Fast delivery, simply brilliant!!

Great
Our hamster lady feels really comfortable now... Very fast delivery... good quality with, in my opinion, lots of accessories... considering how much the included items would cost individually... a matching trolley would be nice. I can only recommend the cage.

Mimmy and Lilly say thank you. :-)
Since I have a cat, mice were never really an option for me as pets.
However, after I was forced to adopt these two little mice—because they were abandoned on a train station staircase in the blazing sun on Monday—I decided not to take them to an animal shelter but to keep them myself.
They’re now really happy to finally have at least a decent home, even if it’s not entirely species-appropriate, as I simply don’t have the space for something bigger.
Nevertheless, I’ll do everything I can to ensure they have a lovely and long mouse life. :-))
The cage is well-made, and the interior decorations were easy to set up. As others have already mentioned, I immediately got rid of the wheel. It’s better to leave it out and perhaps include a water bottle or something similar instead.

Super!
I’m very happy with my purchase. It’s true that the top opening is particularly difficult to open, but the little resident isn’t supposed to be able to escape, after all. With a bit of finesse, you can open the flap relatively quietly too. So, a great product – I’d buy it again.

Simply perfect
The narrow grid spacing is just perfect for my African soft-furred rats and regular rats! The large flap on the lid and the two front doors make it easy to reach inside.

Very practical
As always, I’m very satisfied, and my hamster "Flo" immediately explored his new home with curiosity. We did remove the plastic wheel straight away and replaced it with a "KARLIE WONDERLAND" solid wood wheel, as I find plastic too dangerous. But other than that, I can only recommend it.

Quality
I have the same one myself and am very satisfied with it. Good quality, good features. Perhaps it would be possible to include a water bottle when offering something like this.

Top value for money
The Skyline cages shine with excellent quality and an unbeatable price.
Instead of untreated wood, I would have preferred a plastic or mesh level that’s easier to clean – though I end up covering it with bedding or a sand tray anyway, so it’s fine as it is.
As for some people using this product review section as a propaganda platform, you can only shake your head in disbelief. The exercise wheel gets a star deducted because a plastic wheel is supposedly bad, but the plastic tray is harmless and acceptable? Is that logic really meant to make sense? (Round plastic bad, square plastic good?)
It’s certainly true that animals can die from ingesting too much chewed-up plastic in the worst-case scenario. But the same applies to wood and, as proven, even bedding – and no rational person would seriously consider removing bedding from their cage just because a few, presumably sick, animals have eaten too much of it and subsequently died. Moreover, plastic is oddly considered indispensable for all other animal species, including rats, and hasn’t caused mass deaths among dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, and so on – quite the opposite. Somehow, there aren’t any known fatalities. Everyone should decide for themselves whether to opt for wood or plastic; the pros and cons of both are fairly balanced and don’t make much difference overall.
I would never use a wooden exercise wheel for a small animal either, as wooden wheels are virtually impossible to clean thoroughly and are often used as toilets by most rodents. This means the animals end up running through their own waste for weeks or months, leading to the formation of germs and fungi galore. They might even chew on that very wood, then lick their paws and groom themselves again... gross.
I can only speak for my animals, but they don’t chew on hard plastic, whether it’s the exercise wheel or the running plate. If one of them had a serious “plastic-chewing habit,” I might have to switch. The exercise wheels attached to the cage bars often have the general issue of causing the entire cage to vibrate and rattle.
In any case, full marks for the cage – especially the mesh area, which is beautifully and sturdily crafted. The non-toxic cage coating is fantastic, and maybe next time there’ll be a freestanding exercise wheel.

Wow!
When we unpacked the cage, we were thrilled about the huge amount of space our little Robovski lady would have in it. She settled into her new home very quickly.
However, we replaced the plastic wheel with a ball-bearing wooden wheel.
The cage offers plenty of room for creative expansions, and the large flap on top makes it much easier to add new little toys for the pet. The two side doors are fantastic for calmly interacting with the pet without the hamster immediately fearing the "scary bird of prey" from above.
All in all, we are very satisfied with our purchase!
