It's sand but should say dust!
I bought this for my hamster but the it's like dust and made my hammy sneeze so had to remove it.
I'm sure it's great for chinchillas but do not buy for hamsters! :)

Unfortunately, it doesn't meet my expectations.
Unfortunately, the chinchilla sand did not meet my expectations, as it started to smell unpleasant as soon as my gerbils used the sand bath. This led to me using more than twice the usual amount. In my opinion, the sand also had a slightly odd smell of its own. It didn’t form proper clumps either, which made it difficult to sift out.
However, if the animals don’t urinate in the sand bath, I still think it’s a suitable bathing sand.

Wouldn't order it again.
We ordered the 3-pack straight away, and after a few weeks, our hamster's fur completely changed – it became greyer and scruffier. We threw the rest away and bought a different, lighter sand from somewhere else. Such a shame.

Not good sand
I bought the sand here some time ago because it’s so highly rated.
Since I’ve been using the sand, however, my mice’s fur hasn’t been in good condition anymore.
It’s dull and scruffy.
It no longer shines the way it’s supposed to.
And after three days, the sand starts to smell, which shouldn’t happen either.
I’ll never buy this sand again.

It's alright.
So, it's quite good overall, but if an animal pees in it, you end up having to throw away so much at once. It gets wet and mushy really quickly. I've now switched to JR Farm Chinchilla Sand Special, which is more economical, clumps better, and only needs to be replaced where it got wet. You quickly make up for the price difference.

Smells bad very quickly
I ordered this sand for my gerbils because a) it's affordable and b) it's quartz sand. I specifically wanted quartz sand since the dust from this type of sand, unlike attapulgite and sepiolite, is not carcinogenic.
However, the sand starts to smell so bad after about 12 hours that I have to change it twice a day.
It's worth mentioning that my group consists of 5 animals.

Not so great
I bought the sand for my degus and I don’t like it!!! It’s super dusty, smells bad, and clumps quickly. Next time, back to JR Farm!!!

Not so good
The only thing I find great is the price for this quantity. Ever since I put the sand in the rodent toilet, my guinea pigs have turned into little pigs again and are messing outside of it! Unfortunately, it somehow can't be undone anymore.

Quite a strong smell!
I recently ordered the sand because it was quite cheap and I wanted to switch from my previous expensive sand. But after just about 2-3 days, there was a strong unpleasant smell in my room. Such a shame, as I could have saved a lot of money.

Well...it stinks!!!
Even though my little runners enthusiastically bathe in the sand every day and then use it as a toilet, I must unfortunately point out that this sand, compared to sand from other suppliers, develops a terrible smell... Gerbils are known for not *stinking*, but ever since I started using this sand, you can smell the little ones from five miles away...
Highly unsatisfactory...
