Shreds and splits claws - avoid this product
Really annoyed with mess these made of my kittens' claws. The mechanism of having to push the claw through the cutting hole rather a straight edge like normal nail clippers is really awkward. They split and splintered the claws on both of my kittens leaving them distressed and uncomfortable. Don't waste your money!

Tear not clip
We took these to the vet to show us how to clip our cats nails and they just tear the nail instead of clipping them properly. The vet wasn't impressed.

Unsuitable for my pets
I bought this claw clipper because my pets are very impatient when it comes to trimming their claws. I was hoping it would be quicker to use this clipper compared to the conventional claw scissors for pets.
Almost every claw I trimmed with it ended up splintering. So, I’ll be switching back to the old scissors. It might take longer, but the result is much more comfortable for my pets.
I’m giving 2 stars for the price and the fact that the clipper feels quite good in the hand.

Useless!
We bought the scissors based on the description. However, they're absolutely useless. The claws splinter, and claw fibres get stuck. I can't recommend them.

Not recommended for medium-sized dogs!
The claw scissors lasted exactly 4 uses for trimming claws before they became blunt.
Afterwards, it was no longer possible to trim our dog's claws without them splintering in an unsightly and, above all, painful way.
For cats or small dogs with soft claws, the scissors might be sufficient, but I would definitely advise dog owners with slightly larger dogs (and therefore larger or tougher claws) against purchasing them.

Not suitable for medium-sized dogs and quickly loses its sharpness
The claw trimmer is clearly only suitable for small dogs or rodents.
We bought it for our two Cocker mixes. The claws barely fit through the hole, which makes the angle and handling very limited.
Additionally, despite infrequent use, it quickly became blunt, so it’s now unusable.

Not sharp enough
I have ordered this clippers before my kitten arrived so did not have a chance to try it until 3 weeks later. Product looks very well made and it is easy to use. Sadly mine are not sharp at all and it leaves claws crushed instead of nicely cut :(. Cannot blame Zooplus on it tho since of course they do not use every product before it is send.

Quite good, but there are better options.
The pliers work fine, but there are better ones.
For our rabbit, it's okay, but not so much for the cats. The nail splinters a lot if you don't have the exact right position.

Rubbish
This pair of clippers is complete rubbish!
My cats' claws splinter, and the clippers have been blunt from day one.
Never again!

Quick Cut!
I use these clippers on my two BSH Cats. Have had them for 2 years now and they still work brilliantly! Makes a daunting task so much easier to do and less stress for the animals too!

Super easy to use
Great value for money! However, I do think that, as a woman with relatively small hands, the pliers still feel a bit too small, which caused them to slip out of my hands several times. Otherwise, my extremely anxious dog finally lets me trim his claws at the vet without needing anaesthesia.

Not suitable for rodents
Good for dogs and strong cat claws, as it's very sturdy. But not suitable for delicate rodent claws. You just can't see enough, and the crushing is too severe, making the risk of injury very high. That's why I ended up giving the clippers away.

barely cuts
Very bad. The claws of my English Bulldog splinter when cutting because it’s not sharp. It seems to hurt him a lot :(

If used correctly, it cuts very nicely...
I’ve now ordered this claw clipper for my Yorkie female as well. If you use it correctly, it cuts the claws really cleanly and easily. However, if you use it sideways, the claws can break quite easily.
Overall, I’m very happy with my choice. It’s absolutely sufficient. I also use it for our tortoise :)

Unfortunately, not sharp and ruins claws!!
I’ve only used this claw clipper on my cats once and won’t be using it again, as it tends to break the claws rather than cut them! It’s also very uncomfortable for the cats!

Bad investment.
Unfortunately, we also had to realise that with these clippers, the claws of our young Vizsla bitch are more likely to break than be properly cut. Aside from the fact that it looks really awful how the claws splinter afterwards, it doesn’t seem to be particularly pleasant for our girl either. We tried twice to cut her claws with them.
At the end of the procedure, our dog was trembling under the table and only came out again after a good half hour.
I can’t understand the positive reviews here.
Our dog now goes berserk just at the sight of the clippers…

Nice and sharp, clean cut
I’ve now used this claw trimmer several times to shorten the claws, and it’s very easy and quick once you’ve got the hang of it. Our dog has strong, sturdy claws that can be cut very well with it. No crushing, no splintering… just a sharp, clean cut! If it ever becomes blunt, I’d buy this model again because the price is unbeatable.

OK for soft claws
These clippers worked fine until I tried to clip one of my dogs, who has particularly tough claws, when the blades became bent and unusable.
