I bought this for my 3 month old Miniature Pinscher puppy. She wet the base in the first week and I had no idea how to clean it without ruining it. The base is fleecy on one side and polyester on the other with cardboard in the middle. I ended up throwing away the base as I could not put it in the washing machine (to remove all traces of urine and discourage wetting the same spot). I now use a vet bed with an unscented puppy pad or small dog bed) as a base instead. The straps are a bit thin.

I ordered the box for my pug and, overall, I’m satisfied with it. What I really don’t like about this box, though, is the quality of the fastening hooks for the harness – it’s a no-go and dangerous. I secured my dog in the box as described. It moved slightly, and suddenly one of the hooks came off the strap, leaving my dog free to move around in the car. After reattaching it, this now happens every time. This shouldn’t happen and could end badly.

Great idea, but the car strap that attaches to the dog harness was no match for puppy teeth – so that strap broke quickly and we couldn’t use the car seat anymore. The car seat probably would have worked perfectly if we’d started using it after the worst puppy chewing phase was over!

The crate is only suitable for sitting dogs up to a maximum of 8 kilos. Also, the carabiners and straps are really tiny. My 6-kilo puppy chewed through two straps within 2 minutes. Unfortunately, you can't replace them, so the whole thing has to go in the bin. Shame about the money.
