After almost 3 years with the Maxi size...
Basically, I would say that the basket itself is very good. I’d rate the bike mount a 2. This year, I noticed a crack in the bike mount... I’ll have to buy a new mount.
Here’s how the basket was used:
- 8-9kg
- every 2 days
- Asphalt, forests, fields & often very bumpy spots (high kerbs, cracks in the road, tree roots on paths, etc.)
- Bike tours ranging from 2 to 26km

Works brilliantly on our moped
We have a Motorhome and travel often throughout Europe. Having acquired a puppy we wanted a basket to put on our moped so we could continue to explore. The basket works brilliantly on the moped with our cocker spaniel settling down fine to enjoy the ride. We did try on our bike but it was too unstable.

Actually good quality, but...
I’ve now used the basket + contents (2 cats, each weighing 3 kg) about 12 times (30 minutes each, including bumpy forest paths). I was actually quite satisfied; you just had to tighten the handlebar mount again after every 2-3 rides. Today during the ride, I noticed that the two rubber pieces that make contact with the handlebar had completely slipped out of place, and one was even on the verge of popping out. Nothing happened, but if I hadn’t noticed and kept pushing them back in (which wasn’t easy with the cats in the basket), one might have popped out, causing the basket + contents to suddenly tip to one side. That could have easily led to an accident, especially if you’re not expecting it and the weight shifts so abruptly.

Sturdy bike basket, but the protective cover...
The bike basket is great for this price. I put a thicker blanket inside.
The weatherproof cover is made of thick, soft plastic that stinks to high heaven. You couldn’t put a dog under it—they’d keel over! I’ve hung it out to air and hope that helps. That’s why I’m only giving 4 stars.

Pay attention to the size!
Bombproof mounting of the basket. Faux leather straps for the grille – okay, it could be fancier, but they don’t really need to hold anything... there’s no pressure on them!
Our tip: Our bulldog (13 kg) went for a ride in the large basket, but it’s way too big. The smaller one is technically only rated for up to 10 kg, but it’s the perfect size and rides beautifully. I even sat on it as a test – the basket can hold more than 10 kg.
Conclusion: You learn a lot after an exchange.

Sturdy basket
We haven’t mounted the basket yet, but we don’t regret the purchase. The basket seems very sturdy, and the mesh also appears stable.
However, the basket liner is a joke. It’s more suited as a small tablecloth than as a seating pad for the dog.
The very high price is perceived as a negative point.

Protective grille mounting
Mounting the basket on the bike is very straightforward. The basket and protective grid are suitably sturdy. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the three buckles that attach the grid to the basket. They are made of cardboard wrapped in plastic. They were already torn upon delivery and therefore unusable. My solution to this was to use Velcro straps...

Super quick and easy to assemble.
The basket was delivered within 2 days and fully meets our expectations. It comes with assembly instructions, but it would also be easy to assemble without them. On our luggage rack (standard trekking bike), the basket was securely mounted within 5 minutes without wobbling. Since the basket is positioned at the back, the bike's handling remains unaffected. However, a cushion is still necessary, as the included liner is more of a joke. Our dachshund (6.5 kg) thoroughly enjoyed the first outing in it.

Great piece of kit
My Parson Russell and I think the basket is great. The riding experience feels a bit strange at first (you can no longer see the front wheel while cycling), but you get used to it quickly. Above all, the basket doesn’t wobble back and forth with every turn, thanks to its mounting on the fork. The grid over the basket also makes it safe for the dog. What’s not so great are the plastic straps used to attach the grid. They tore after a short time and I had to replace them.
With the basket, long bike trips are possible. When the dog gets tired, he goes into the basket. And the luggage rack stays free, so you can transport other things in addition to the dog.

Really very good quality, but up to 20 kilos?
The basket is really great and very sturdy, but you do end up wobbling quite a bit if the dog turns around in the back of the basket or sits right in the corner. So you really need to keep both hands firmly on the handlebars, otherwise you’ll end up in the ditch – and my dog only weighs 13 kilos. I think for a heavier dog, it would be better to go for a trailer instead. But otherwise, it’s truly a fantastic, huge luxury basket. I did line it with a blanket though, as there are some pretty sharp edges on the wicker at the sides, and the dog could actually get hurt.

Simply brilliant!!
I ordered the bike basket for my Jack Russell male, and he loves it!! The only problem I had was that the screws were too short... but that's probably more to do with my bike. Overall, I'm very happy with it =)

The dog enjoys going for rides.
I bought the basket for my Westie. She jumped in straight away and claimed it as her own. On the first attempt with the bike, she stayed peacefully seated (without the grille!) and enjoyed the view. The basket and the mount are sturdy, and I had no issues with attaching it. However, the gear shift needed a bit of adjustment, as otherwise, steering becomes difficult. The padding for the basket is a joke though, and you’ll need to put in another blanket or something similar. I can recommend the basket.
