Great bike dog basket
Easy assembly. Fits perfectly on the handlebar frame.
The dog feels absolutely comfortable in it.
The holder doesn’t loosen either, as long as it’s mounted correctly. Great value for money.

Our dog loves the basket ;-)
Hello,
we've had the basket for a good 3 years now. Our Jack Russell female weighs 4.5kg, and she absolutely loves this basket. She has plenty of space in it and can see everything clearly. The basket hangs on the front of the handlebars. It's definitely worth the money ;-))).

Actually good quality, but...
I’ve now used the basket + contents (2 cats, each weighing 3 kg) about 12 times (30 minutes each, including bumpy forest paths). I was actually quite satisfied; you just had to tighten the handlebar mount again after every 2-3 rides. Today during the ride, I noticed that the two rubber pieces that make contact with the handlebar had completely slipped out of place, and one was even on the verge of popping out. Nothing happened, but if I hadn’t noticed and kept pushing them back in (which wasn’t easy with the cats in the basket), one might have popped out, causing the basket + contents to suddenly tip to one side. That could have easily led to an accident, especially if you’re not expecting it and the weight shifts so abruptly.

The description is accurate, the dog bike basket with protective grid is brilliant!!!!!!!!!
We received the basket with the protective grid two days ago, and I can only say it's fantastic – very good quality and extremely sturdy. Today, we took our first trip with our 7 kg mixed-breed dog. After placing two small cushions and a cosy blanket inside, our little one made herself comfortable. I really don’t understand why people complain about the thin blanket; the description didn’t mention a cushion or blanket being included. We can only recommend the basket. Simply brilliant!!!!!!!

Can't complain!
We've already done our first bike tours with our new bike basket, and everything worked perfectly. For my husband's mountain bike, we bought the additional mounting option for the seat post, so I can hand over our little rascal on steep sections :-)
I had to air out the protective cover for two days, but then it was fine, and it's really only meant for short showers anyway. When it's sunny, we use a thin cloth instead.
I hope we'll go on many more tours with our old rascal.

Sturdy bike basket, but the protective cover...
The bike basket is great for this price. I put a thicker blanket inside.
The weatherproof cover is made of thick, soft plastic that stinks to high heaven. You couldn’t put a dog under it—they’d keel over! I’ve hung it out to air and hope that helps. That’s why I’m only giving 4 stars.

Value for money is absolutely not good.
Unfortunately, I am very dissatisfied with the basket. The paint had already chipped off in several places before the first use, and then there were the faux leather straps, which completely tore at the holes and at every seam puncture after a short test ride with getting in and out. The "guaranteed fit" for attaching it to the bike unfortunately did not apply to my Amsterdam bike; several washers were needed. The "cover" of the basket was nothing more than a thin oilcloth. The bottom of the basket is not reinforced but consists of wickerwork, and for this, the "cover" is definitely not sufficient, as some of the stick ends also protrude sharply in places.
For longer distances, it is not usable for me due to the lack of stability, as the sturdiness of both the basket and the mount leaves much to be desired, even though my dog only weighs 8 kg. Better to spend a bit more and get the corresponding quality.

Unfortunately, not so great.
The fastening for the lid/basket tore immediately. We just wanted to close the strap, and it was already broken. Attaching the fastening to the frame was unfortunately very tedious. On top of that, it only fit one bike, which is not very practical. Additionally, I don’t have much confidence in the overall stability or long-term durability. We’re sending it back because if you plan to cycle 1,000 kilometres, the dog basket shouldn’t fall apart, and unfortunately, I have that concern with the wicker material. The screws won’t hold in the basket under heavier loads – and by that, I mean rough paths and lots of jolting – so I would definitely have had to reinforce it with plates. Furthermore, we would have had to cut the grille for our dog, because what dog wants to sit hunched over the whole time? And it’s "just" a terrier mix. But even he hits his head on the top. Such a shame, really disappointing...

Doesn't fit my bike
While the basket is solidly made and good quality, it did not fit on to my mountain bike. This should have been made explicitly clear on this site, but it was not. I had to exchange my mountain bike in a 2nd hand shop for a much older shopping bike just to get it on. The workers in the bike shop struggled for over an hour to figure out how to get it on and had to do all sorts of fiddling with changing where the break leads went and all sorts. There is no way atall i could have fitted this myself. Not atall impressed as I have had to give up my beloved mountain bike. But it is on now and seems ok, but overall simply not good enough.

You can't use it.
I ordered the small basket for a Welsh Terrier (approx. 11 kg) based on recommendations here. After unpacking it for the first time, it was immediately clear to me that it was too small. After a hassle-free exchange, I wanted to mount the larger one on the bike (luggage rack). It doesn’t fit at all. The support rods are too short. As a result, the basket ends up under the saddle, and you can’t attach the protective grid at all. I don’t understand the positive reviews here and will be returning the basket.

Brilliant! Good for both our bikes
Plenty of space for Bertie, our large JRT and he took to it like a duck to water. Plently of smiles from the visitors to our Hastings sea-front in East Sussex and a hound who couldn't keep up with the range of high speed sniffs! Recommended to all plus a trip to the Dog's Biscuits in Norman Road, St Leonards.

Pay attention to the size!
Bombproof mounting of the basket. Faux leather straps for the grille – okay, it could be fancier, but they don’t really need to hold anything... there’s no pressure on them!
Our tip: Our bulldog (13 kg) went for a ride in the large basket, but it’s way too big. The smaller one is technically only rated for up to 10 kg, but it’s the perfect size and rides beautifully. I even sat on it as a test – the basket can hold more than 10 kg.
Conclusion: You learn a lot after an exchange.

Super great bike basket
We cycle quite a lot. Finally, my Schnuffel (Beagle lady - approx. 13 kg) has her own spot when we plan a slightly longer tour.
A super great basket that we’re constantly being asked about, by the way! The only feedback for the manufacturer would be a request to develop an even sturdier design to make it easier and better to attach the basket to the luggage rack. We’ll get in touch with our locksmith to fix this one "flaw"...
However: I imagine 20 kg would be quite tricky... My dog stays relatively calm lying down, otherwise, I’d probably end up in the ditch.

Super
I am completely satisfied. I ordered the smaller size and received it promptly. The assembly was very easy, even for me as a woman.
My Cavalier King Charles (11 kg) and I have been going on tours together ever since. It’s simply a brilliant basket. Thanks to the grid, Carlo doesn’t fall out. And with proper assembly, the basket is very sturdy. It doesn’t shift, slide, or tilt.
I can only recommend this product.

Very sturdy bike basket with protective grid!!!
The bike basket is super sturdy and very easy to assemble. However, the three buckles are quite unstable. During the first assembly, one of the buckles tore off straight away, even though I hadn’t pulled on it hard at all. Now I’ve attached the protective grid with two buckles, which is absolutely sufficient.

Finally, a dog basket where everything is just right!
I am absolutely impressed with this dog basket. I've been searching for a basket like this for years, and I finally found it here! It's quick and sturdy to attach, there's loads of space INSIDE the basket, the basket itself is very solidly built with a firm base plate, it's nice and tall (I've seen other baskets that are different...) so the dog can sit safely inside, and it looks stylish too. Simply brilliant! I'm already looking forward to the first ride with this fantastic "basket" in XXL format! Five stars from me!

Great product!!!
Very fast delivery. Very well packaged. The basket is brilliant!!! With leather straps to secure it to the metal grid. Very quick and easy mounting system (with instructions). Only the little cover is a joke. But when I think about the fact that the same basket costs €89 in a specialist bike shop, I can easily overlook this minor issue.

Value for money not okay
The enthusiasm for the basket is still quite limited for me. Basically, it's just a basket—neither particularly high-quality nor sturdier than any ordinary wicker basket—with a wire lid and a cheap lining reminiscent of a wax tablecloth. The mounting system and the whole thing don't even justify the reduced price here on Zooplus, which is nearly 60 euros, in any way.
Our maiden voyage was survived by our little dog, but the basket wobbled alarmingly. Due to her weight (5.5 kg), the basket tilted slightly, even though I'm sure I mounted everything correctly. The fastenings between the basket and the lid aren't great either—the lid shifts while riding. Overall, everything feels quite unstable. While it will probably hold, neither the dog nor I feel comfortable with it.
When searching for a suitable basket, I was never sure whether it would be suitable for a racing bike. Well, visually, the combination looks rather unimpressive, but the bike itself isn't affected by the basket. There's enough clearance for the brakes and gear levers. The baskets available on the market all seem to be somewhat underwhelming. The dog is probably safer on the luggage rack, provided you have one. I don't, which is why I opted for the handlebar basket.

Sturdy basket
We haven’t mounted the basket yet, but we don’t regret the purchase. The basket seems very sturdy, and the mesh also appears stable.
However, the basket liner is a joke. It’s more suited as a small tablecloth than as a seating pad for the dog.
The very high price is perceived as a negative point.
