These used to be so Good..now they are rubbish!
I have always bought these scratch posts for my cats. They were always very well made. But not anymore! The last one I ordered looks like the leaning tower of Pisa! So unstable...it now stands at a 45 degree angle. No way to secure it. Also the sisal rope used is thin and cheaper. I expect they have cut the quailty cutting cost. Another good thing bites the dust. I wont buy anymore of these.

Wobbly
About a week after purchasing this I realised that the post wobbles considerably. Tried tightening the one screw at the bottom but it made no difference. Kitten jumps onto this but is unsteady and pushes the post when it scratches.. he only weighs 1.5kgs!
Luckily my bigger cat isn’t interested as I imagine he’d pull the whole thing down

Great height but poorly made
Both my cats love this scratching post, and use it numerous times each day. Sadly it has only lasted 2 months as the post has come away from the base. Mid scratch and the post fell onto one of my cats. The base is only secured with a few staples.

Broken!
I would have given this *****, had it not been for the fact that the base of the post just broke into many pieces and cannot be repaired! My cat uses it to scratch and stretch - and loves it - but he has never climbed up it or hung from it. It really needs to be made stronger! Manufactures please take note!

Cat doesn't like to scratch this but will stretch up it!
This post, although a lovely height for my Maine coon, is really hard and she won't use it even though I've had it nearly a week.
I think this is probably due to the fact she is a house cat and therefore has very soft pads and the sisal rope isn't the same type as that I had on her previous post. This rope is harder so she will only stretch, not claw it. Really disappointed. I hope in time it will soften.
