Trixie Sisal Cat Scratching Board

My cat didn’t use this at all and it also broke within weeks, I regret buying it and now stick to the cheaper cardboard scratchers as my cat seems to like these the most. Maybe I just have a very fussy cat and bad luck as other reviews are good.

Broke the first day ….

Both have been delivered broken the cat scratch part wasn’t on the board and shape edges on the back of the shape part that should of been used to attach to the board. I stop getting the cat shape scratch 1s because they always came broken with an ear or head broke but they are worse

The back wasn't attached to the main scratching pad leaving staples exposed. Waste of money

I bought this for my kitten. The actual scratching board is stapled onto the wood. A pair of staples was already off when it arrived but I thought nothing of it. I attached the scratcher onto the wall, and from my kitten’s first use a further 2 staples came off, making it very unsafe as it became very wobbly. I wouldn’t recommend, ESPECIALLY for adult cats who would be heavier, as this happened with my small kitten, so I cant imagine what would happen to a full grown cat.

Unfortunately the scratch pad broke away from the cardboard backing immediately. On examination the staples were not properly applied so had just come away rather than holding the two parts together. Waste of money.

Due to safety regulations in foster homes/shelters, I can't use this. The product arrived unpackaged, which poses a risk for small, unvaccinated kittens. There's no way of knowing how many floors, possibly contaminated with viruses from shoes, it had been on before. On top of that, the catnip from the little bag (which I didn't even know would be included with the product) spilled everywhere and made a mess of the whole scratching post and other items.
