Difficult assembly
When the house is finished, it looks quite nice.
But the assembly... 🙈 It’s not really difficult in itself, but the buttons that hold the house together were a disaster. Trying to snap them together was hard work. Only one button went together easily. With the others, I had to press, press, press. My thumb hurt so much that I had to take a break and continue the next day. I was so relieved when it was finally done.

Cats love it but the plastic connectors are rubbish.
My cats were excited watching me try to assemble it but their patience ran as thin as mine did with the fiddly plastic connectors that don't connect properly. The bottom ones are also located just far enough in that you can't use standard pliers on them to try to force the connection which added to the frustration.
For the price, I guess it's ok but I would have preferred to have paid a couple of quid more for connectors that do the job.

Unfortunately, not so great.
This playhouse unfortunately didn’t go down too well because my furry friend is a bit of a wild one, and the house couldn’t withstand her temperament. I also wasn’t too impressed with the plastic connectors, as my little rascal quickly figured out how to remove them. Perhaps a different type of connection would be more beneficial. The idea of this playhouse isn’t bad, just not suitable for us.

Only for "lovely" cats 😉
The little house immediately caught the interest of my two. Unfortunately, it only "survived" for one day. Due to intense tussling over the spot, the plastic connectors kept popping out, and after I managed to retrieve a piece from one of the cats' mouths just in time, the little house was disposed of. Pretty but short-lived
Great cat house with scratching option! But make sure to buy sample bag clips straight away, as the plastic wall plugs don’t hold at all.

For the price, it's okay.
Won’t last long. The connectors for putting it together are partly faulty and definitely won’t hold up for long. For the price, it’s okay though.

Satisfactory
The house is nice and spacious, ideal for Coonies, but it’s not that easy to assemble. The plastic parts (unfortunately made of plastic) don’t fit together perfectly.

Breaks quickly
My cats loved the house! Unfortunately, it broke after just 5 days. The plastic connectors come apart too quickly, posing a choking hazard. The roof also collapsed several times for me. Such a shame, because the idea itself is great!

XL Cat House
A very positive aspect is the sturdy design of the home. The simple assembly is manageable even for inexperienced people. I don’t really have anything negative to say about the scratching board either. The only issue is getting a replacement board. It would be great if Zooplus could include it in their product range.

Loved but could be improved
I have two tomcats (brothers). They loved the house. Unfortunately, it collapsed at the first jump onto the roof. When trying to fix it, the connecting plugs came loose or tore out of the cardboard. With a heavy heart, I had to dispose of it. I’ll order it one more time and take into account the tips about gluing the plastic parts.

Good idea
Basically a nice idea, but I wish the material for the house was made from sturdier cardboard. As it is, the house gives off a rather flimsy impression. The idea is good, but the execution could definitely be improved. I’d even be willing to pay more if the material were better.
I also think it could be solved with a slot-in system instead of screw connections...
There’s even a multi-storey cardboard castle for cats that can hold up a Maine Coon (though just barely)...

Basically a great scratching house, but the connections are life-threatening!
I have already had two of these houses, and my cats were very happy with them. Unfortunately, the connecting pieces are made of plastic and just small enough to be swallowed. My 9-month-old tomcat had to undergo surgery because I overlooked one of the pieces when throwing it away. A larger and less easily swallowable solution for assembly would be great.

Used daily
The house is great, but the scratching mat doesn’t last long. There’s already a big hole in the scratching cardboard. It would be great if you could buy replacements.

Not suitable for adult Bengals
Unfortunately, the house is already wobbly after just one play session. One clip has come off and can’t be found anymore. So, it’s not suitable for wild-playing Bengals :) but I can imagine it being quite fun for kittens.

Not for large cats
My two Norwegian forest kittens totally demolished it in under 10 minutes, it took me longer than that to assemble! The kittens are only just 6 months old so nowhere near full grown, but this house was unable to withstand them jumping on it. Possibly be better for a smaller more sedate cat than my two. On a plus side it looks lovely and had it survived I would have been quite happy to have it in the living room, at least it was cheap enough.
