XL Cat House with Scratching Pad Winter Edition

My cats were excited watching me try to assemble it but their patience ran as thin as mine did with the fiddly plastic connectors that don't connect properly. The bottom ones are also located just far enough in that you can't use standard pliers on them to try to force the connection which added to the frustration. For the price, I guess it's ok but I would have preferred to have paid a couple of quid more for connectors that do the job.

My two Norwegian forest kittens totally demolished it in under 10 minutes, it took me longer than that to assemble! The kittens are only just 6 months old so nowhere near full grown, but this house was unable to withstand them jumping on it. Possibly be better for a smaller more sedate cat than my two. On a plus side it looks lovely and had it survived I would have been quite happy to have it in the living room, at least it was cheap enough.

Great scratching post that also doubles as a bed: my cats are happy to use it for sleeping too. It would be perfect if it were possible to get a replacement for the inside part of the little house, without having to buy a whole new one every time. Even though the price is very reasonable, it feels like a waste to have to throw the whole thing away just to replace the scratching part.

The assembly itself isn’t that difficult, if only the plastic screws would actually hold together!!! Unfortunately, they come apart under pressure and end up lying around the house – which quickly becomes dangerous if the cat wants to play with them and might even swallow the small pieces!!! I had a different, smaller model before, and that was designed differently. What a shame. But the corrugated cardboard for scratching is great :) I wouldn’t buy the cat house again...

I've had it for two years and my cats love it, but the problem is the screws don't last at all—I’ve had to hold it together with string. I’m looking for something like this with a scratching post inside, that’s what they love. I don’t see that in others, like the tube ones. It would be great if it came with scratchers.

Basically, it does what it’s supposed to, but the plastic brackets are really badly designed. Some of them don’t fit properly into the thread and it’s very fiddly and tiring to put together (people with arthritis will definitely struggle with this). You can also tell how simple and rather “unloving” the manufacturing was... it already arrived slightly dented where you put it together, which is a visual flaw that bothers me. That said, it’s actually quite cute overall and my cat is happy :)

Great as a scratching post... but the plastic screws for fixing it are pretty poor and hard to screw in because they're stiff and some are faulty. The fixing system isn’t suitable at all, definitely needs to be replaced with a different type. Despite all that though, my cats absolutely love it!!! 🐺🐾🐾

The house itself is really good, the large size is perfect because my 8kg cat fits inside. I love the idea, but the screws let it down... they're plastic, you have to fiddle around to get them to fit properly and then they open easily, so one of the cats almost swallowed one... we got quite a fright!

It seems fragile to me
