Hill's Prescription Diet Feline Economy Packs

None of our three cats want to eat them; they'd rather go without food. And two of them vomited everything shortly after eating a few. The kibble is also very large, not suitable for all cats.

The cat likes it but isn’t losing weight…

The product itself is good, but the zip that closes the packaging is flimsy and breaks after a while (confirmed over several orders). For an 8kg bag and just one cat, it’s a pain and means I have to repackage it (sometimes I use an 'old' bag that’s still intact to repackage the contents of the faulty one... not ideal).

Both cats are eating it just fine. The kibble pieces are a bit bigger than the c/d Multicare, so it helps them eat more slowly. We’ll have to wait and see if it has any effect on their weight and urine balance (we’ve been using it for 2 months now). What I have noticed, though, is that since switching, both cats have become more stressed. They weren’t completely stress-free before, but now I realise that the Multicare actually had more of an effect than I thought or noticed. So that’s a bit disappointing and annoying. I also thought this food would help with that.

At first, she ate the kibble, but later on she became more and more reluctant. They're bigger than the kibble she used to have. Now she bites them in half and then leaves them. I'm going to try Royal Canin now, since her previous kibble was also from that brand.

I tried out the food as part of a product test and want to share my honest opinion. At first, my cats had clear difficulties accepting the food. They were pretty hesitant, and it took quite a while before they even showed any interest. Unfortunately, one of my cats developed a skin rash, so I had to stop giving her the food. My other cat is still eating it, but she's also rather reluctant about it.

Nice food. Unfortunately, our cat didn’t lose any weight from it, so we’re going back to the previous food.

Bought this on my vet’s recommendation, but she already warned me in advance that not many cats actually like these kibbles. I gave it a go, but unfortunately my cat only ate two pieces and now I can give away the (expensive) bag.

I'm not saying the product is bad, because a while ago it did help with weight loss. But right now, even though it's been measured down to the milligram, there hasn't been any weight loss at all, and on top of that, dandruff has appeared which wasn't there before.

The kibble goes down a treat. Opening a new bag is tricky though. If you tear off the top strip as instructed, the pack is still sealed. The plastic rips easily, which means the “velcro” doesn’t work either. This is already the second bag where this has happened.

One of my cats eats a kibble, then drops the rest and refuses to eat it anymore, so I end up having to throw away almost 30% of the food. My other cat does eat everything properly.

We're happy with the offer of an economical bundle. However, every year we regret the price increase for this product. We're forced to buy it because of the urinary health issues our cat has had. It's a shame to have to deal with the high cost of this kind of product.
