Fragile packaging
The product itself is good, but the zip that closes the packaging is flimsy and breaks after a while (confirmed over several orders). For an 8kg bag and just one cat, it’s a pain and means I have to repackage it (sometimes I use an 'old' bag that’s still intact to repackage the contents of the faulty one... not ideal).

Special cat food
Since changing his food, my cat has had fewer problems with cystitis! Plus, he absolutely loves it 😉

Completely satisfied, and so is my cat Fredy 😻
Good afternoon, I only have good things to say about this Hills C/Urinary Fish food. Since January 2025, I've only been giving this food to my Fredy, and he hasn't had any more urinary problems. I'm very grateful, and so is my Fredy 🐱 Thank you all for your support!!

Great food, but notice a difference with stress
Both cats are eating it just fine. The kibble pieces are a bit bigger than the c/d Multicare, so it helps them eat more slowly. We’ll have to wait and see if it has any effect on their weight and urine balance (we’ve been using it for 2 months now).
What I have noticed, though, is that since switching, both cats have become more stressed. They weren’t completely stress-free before, but now I realise that the Multicare actually had more of an effect than I thought or noticed. So that’s a bit disappointing and annoying. I also thought this food would help with that.

Happy kitties!
I had to change the food after one of my cats suddenly developed severe kidney failure.
Strict renal diet was a must, so we stuck with Hill's.
+ As soon as it arrived, all the female cats in the family took to it straight away!
My very sick cat, who hadn't eaten for days before the switch, ate it immediately and with more than a little enthusiasm – that alone was a huge win!
- The 8kg bag does seem twice as small though?

Works TOO well against diarrhoea
One of my Maine Coons has very sensitive intestines, with a history of both extremes: from constipation to diarrhoea and back again. In our experience, Hill's Biome works well in cases of diarrhoea, but if there's constipation, it's better to go for Royal Canin Fibre. Feeding just one type of food always caused problems for us, so now we give a mix of both and that's working well for now.

Diet food for our cat with IBD.
We had already tried other food recommended by the vet. Our cat got really skinny because he absolutely refused to eat that food. Then, at the Ismaning animal clinic, we heard about Hill’s food and gave it a go. Thank goodness he liked it. He also enjoys the wet food.

The only dry food my cat can tolerate!
My old cat (Evelien, 17 years old) has struggled with her digestion for years. A homeopathic vet advised me to try this. And it worked. It did take a bit of experimenting to find the right dosage. Last year, she had another setback. Now, again with homeopathic support, I give her these kibbles soaked in chicken broth and cooked chicken breast. She can hardly wait for it and keeps jumping onto the counter at 17 years young... The dry kibbles I sprinkle with Isogel.

The kibble is hard, spot on
A couple of weeks ago, my 15-year-old cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. We got a bit scared and bought the y/d tins. For me, the downside is that they only come in packs of 12, not smaller, and they're not mousse-type. For my cat, they're no good. He smells it and walks away. I've already gone through a can and a half and he hasn't eaten any of it. Luckily, the food lasts if he likes it. So I hope that with this food, by the end of the month his T4 will have gone down and he won't need medication. I'll donate the tins to a shelter, because they're just not for him.

Delicious
The acceptance is high. All the cats eat it, even though only one of them was supposed to because of kidney problems. Also suitable for hypoallergenic diets. One cat had a food allergy. Sadly, that cat is no longer with us, but its companions eat it with great pleasure.
