Applaws Adult Chicken

She sniffed it for three days(fresh bowl everyday over 2 weeks) she never even licked it she hated it. I donated to a cat charity

I bought the chicken variety of dry food for my cats who have happily eaten this in the past. They would not touch it even though they are not fussy cats. After persevering for several days I gave it to my daughter for her cats to try and they also refused to eat it

Tryed my cat on this and he’s had an upset stomach and won’t really touch it normally he demolishes his food.

My cat always enjoyed this food until recently. The biscuits have changed from flat disks to small, hard pellet-like things. When he goes to his bowl he'll eat a few, then start spitting them out. I'm not sure if the taste, shape or both he doesn't like. After persevering for a couple of weeks (he gets wet food too!) I offered him an alternative brand which he happily ate. Another reviewer mentioned the 400g bags are still ok, but that's what I bought so perhaps they're all like this now.

I’ve been using this for a while but this last month my cat has been vomiting daily with the new bag i got and after reading the reviews im going to have to stop giving it to her as its probably this causing it after reading all the reviews

My cats have been on Applaws for over 2 years. My older cat is a fussy eater, but the little one eats everything. Both of them has been refusing to eat this particular food (chicken only)

My cat used to eat this before the recall a couple of years ago but I hadn't bought it for a while. Thought I'd give it another go but she just wouldn't eat it so gave it to my local rescue. Won't be buying again

Used Applaws chicken for my NFC for almost 3 years but the last large bag I ordered he will not eat (neither does our neighbour's cat and he used to enjoy sharing!) Should have taken notice of the reviews!!!

Wet cat food shredded meat with rice package gave my cat nausea and drooling after eating then my other cat has had diarrhea all night.

I had high hopes for this food but on being opened, the food was damp. My one cat kept vomiting it up. Neither was keen on it. Do not buy!

CAUSED PROBLEMS FOR MY CAT CONSTANT DIARREHA MADE MY CAT UNWELL FOR WEEKS, COULDN'T WORK OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. TOOK TO VETS DID SCANS ECT WHICH COST A HUGE AMOUNT- AFTER NOT GIVING IT TO MY CATS ANYMORE FINE FOR 2 MONTHS- GIVE IT TO THEM AGAIN FOR ONE DAY BACK TO HOW IT WAS. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

My cats used to eat this, but not anymore. Most definitely a change in recipe. Why change somthing for the worst its the same with human food they have to mess when it's not needed. I have EMAILED APPLAWS AND SO SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE AND RETURN TO OLD RECIPE.

I have feed my 3 cats since they were kittens now four years old two of them are sick after eating I will change to another brand

Cats have eaten this for years, now won't touch it. Probably a good thing looking at other reviews. Clearly been a recipe change, and not for the better. They should really inform people when they are making these changes so people don't waste nearly £40 on a bag of food that is no use to anyone.

Not sure if the larger bags are manufactured differently. My kitten adjusted properly to this food when I bought 400g bags. We decided to buy the biggest bag (8kg?) and he will either vomit now, or always have diarrhea. Vets have prescribed him white fish, and supplements to settle his stomach now. Really disappointed that this suddenly is an incompatible food for my kitten. Really don’t bother with it.

Cats don’t want to eat this anymore suddenly after eating happily for 2 and a half years. They have vomited several times after eating. I will have to waste a lot of food. Other reviews are the same as mine. I will stop buying.

I switched my cats to this food as I thought it would be a healthier option - not long after two developed nasty itchy skin conditions to the point of scabs and pulling their own hair out - didn’t think it would be the food until after reading these reviews I’m going back to my old brand. Very disappointing when you think you’re paying for a healthier option for your fur kids 😕

First time on this food. Cat has been vomiting and has had blood in the urine. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN...

We have had our Maine coon on Applaws dry food ever since he was born and he's always been really healthy up until lately. We are really worried as he throws up a lot after eating now which makes me think he's developed an allergy or has an intollerance to the new stuff, won't be buying again. It's really sad.

Both our cats vomited the food right from the start. Such a shame!

My cats loved this food, but without any notice the pieces are now only half the size and the girls don’t want it anymore. So now we have to look for an alternative. Changing cat food rarely makes sense.

I've been buying this dry food for many years, but suddenly the pieces are smaller and darker than before, and my cats are having terrible stomach issues and don’t really want to eat it anymore. Nowhere does it say the recipe has changed, but something must have happened. I have two bags from different shops and both have the same problem. I’ll stop buying this now, really disappointed.
