This pellet litter is praised for being highly absorbent, dust-free, and not tracking, making it suitable for sifting trays. However, it is not clumping, leading to high consumption and odor issues. Some customers found it too coarse and unsuitable for their cats, causing reluctance to use the litter box. Despite mixed reviews, it offers a wood scent and can deter rodents and stray cats when used outdoors. Overall, opinions vary on its effectiveness.

Not for cats
The litter itself of a good quality, but too chunky for cats. The spoiled litter breaks up in powder, and it is difficult to clean up.

Simply superb, great quality.
I can 100% recommend this product.
We now have 8-week-old dwarf lop rabbits.
We got them when they were 7 weeks old.
The two of them immediately accepted the pellets in the rabbit toilet.
The absorption capacity of the pellets is amazing.
They soak up urine within seconds.
And they completely eliminate the smell.
Our rabbit toilet doesn’t smell of anything at all.
Well, not entirely true – the pellets actually smell wonderfully of fresh wood :)).

Perfect for every rabbit owner
My rabbits live indoors, and for the first time, I’ve noticed that the room doesn’t smell of urine even if I only clean the toilet on the second day.
You don’t need to use too much of it.
There’s nothing better!
The only thing that bothers me is that one of my rabbits always eats one or two pellets when I’ve just refilled it.

Bad purchase - my own fault...
I accidentally bought it, for whatever reason. We usually use Nature Gold for our Birmans, which we’re happy with. The low price quickly becomes irrelevant, as you have to completely clean the litter boxes at least once a week – ideally twice – which is very different from what we’re used to with clumping litter. On top of that, the pellets are so large that the cats don’t even feel like covering their mess with the litter.

Very good for long-haired cats!
I have 2 Maine Coons who used to always carry the litter through the flat in their fur.
If you change the universal litter regularly (for us about every 5-6 days), they only track a tiny bit out of the toilet.
You only need to remove the clumps.

Super, we think, even for the cat!
I can't understand why people leave negative reviews here because the litter doesn't clump – it's not clumping litter.
The pellets absorb the urine and break down into sawdust.
We use a sieve toilet. Once a day, we either shake it or stir it with a scoop, and the sawdust falls to the bottom. It smells pleasantly of wood. We don't have the problem with smelly piles because ours go to the toilet with clumping litter :-) All in all, I think it's great for the price.

Not for cats
Having read that our usual cat litter (Cat's Best Nature Gold / Smart Pellets) have been changed for the worse, I thought I'd try this litter instead as it was half the price and advertised for cats as well.
It's definitely NOT made for cats. The pellets just seem to disintegrate into dust after our cats did their small business, hence leaving ugly tracking all over the house.
I will go back our usual litter even though it's twice the price. Hopefully it's not as bad as people say it's become.

Everything's perfect :)
Very good litter, but not ideal if you have carpets in your flat, as you'll need to vacuum every day :) Though it might just be my cats—they love spreading everything around :D

For the rats' toilet, top-notch!
Super bedding for the rats' toilet. Our rats love this bedding for crumbling and actually only use this for peeing now. Very economical and we've reordered it many times.

Perfect for dwarf rabbits
So, I've ordered this bedding for the second time now, and it's absolutely great for my rabbits. I use it directly in their litter box, and it absorbs the pee really well. There's no smell, and it stays where it should. My bunny girl doesn't want anything else in her litter box either—she's very particular about that ;-). Plus, I don't have to worry if the rabbits accidentally eat a pellet; after all, it's just wood.

Does not clump
I usually use Cat's Best for long-haired cats to prevent my little tigers from spreading litter all over the flat, and I’m spoiled by its excellent clumping properties. Unfortunately, the universal litter doesn’t even come close to clumping as well. The clumps hold together until you scoop them or shake the litter tray, at which point they crumble into fine shavings, almost like sawdust. The odour control is very good, though!
I’ll be switching back to the litter for long-haired cats!

Super Bedding
I’m not sure if some of the previous reviewers have really looked into the topic of pellet litter.
This pellet litter is not clumping litter. Furthermore, it must not be disposed of in the toilet; instead, you can either put it loose in the organic waste bin or, if you pour it into a bag, in the general waste bin.
This pellet litter is also not suitable for regular litter boxes. OK, I agree that this should be mentioned as a note when ordering, as well as on the packaging or in the product description.
In combination with a sieve litter box, for example, the Peewee "Eco Dome," this is the best litter I’ve ever had. Odour formation is practically non-existent, spreading around the house has completely stopped, and there’s no more dust either. The wood scent is very pleasant. We’ve tried various types of litter and find this to be fundamentally the best for our two Coonies.

Brilliant Product
I am so impressed with this & it is so versatile! I use it in my guinea pigs toilet trays where it absorbs any wetness & stops any smell. It has the added advantage of being quite heavy so it stops them knocking the trays over when they have a mad session of chasing around. I also use it in my chicken & duck runs placed under their water bowls to soak up the spills - thus keeping the cages dry. As if that wasn't enough it's also great for cats litter trays.

Better for small animals
This litter is less suitable for cats as it doesn’t clump, making the cat litter box difficult to clean.
However, it works brilliantly for small animals (in my case, dwarf rabbits)! It has hardly any smell, is very economical and lasts a long time. You don’t need to use much either, as it breaks down and naturally expands over time.

Not suitable as cat litter!
I wanted to buy the Universal Litter as a cheaper alternative to Cat's Best Gold.
Wouldn't recommend it.
It creates odour and doesn't stay compact.

Super!
I've been using it for about two months now for my rabbits, as I think it's much better suited for the rodent litter box.
It absorbs really well, doesn't clump, and the urine smells less strong. I'm completely satisfied :)

Also SMALL ANIMAL BEDDING.
I haven’t bought it yet, but I’m about to. This litter doesn’t clump, as it’s also suitable for small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. must NOT use clumping litter).

Bad, as it doesn't clump
As has been mentioned many times here, it's hardly suitable for cats as it doesn't clump. As a result, the faeces aren't properly enclosed, and the urine-soaked parts can't be removed properly.
Since at least the urine smell is still minimal and it can be disposed of via the toilet, it gets 2 stars.
