We bought this litter for our ferrets because one of our girls always positioned herself so awkwardly when urinating that the litter would stick between her legs afterwards, which can lead to infections. So we were looking for something extremely coarse-grained that wouldn’t stick. Cats Best solves our problem, smells pleasantly natural (like wood), and as a bonus, it doesn’t get scattered everywhere when they jump out, unlike fine litter.

Hello there... I've read some negative reviews that I can't agree with at all 🤷.... With the right litter box, it's simply brilliant... A regular one isn't ideal because when scooping out faeces or urine, you end up wasting loads of pellets... But with the PeeWee litter box, it's spot on.... In that sense, highly recommended!

I usually buy the Cats Best Smart Pellets, but I tried these as half the price. The pellets are bigger in size and darker in colour. When my cat has been in the litter tray it smells nice of lavender. The others don't have a smell to them. Like the other pellets they stay by the litter tray. They don't clump which is the downside so you end up taking out more than required after he has been for a wee. Personally I would buy again, but prefer the ones that clump. The packaging is recyclable.

Perfect for micro pigs

The cat litter is great but it's packed in a paper bag,which would be totally fine if delivered in a separate box from other things. Otherwise the litter bag always arrives ripped with litter everywhere.

Not recommended for cats. Crumbles into dust and hardly absorbs odours at all.

Not bad value for the size of the bag. My cats prefer wood pellet litter and I don't mind that it crumbles when soiled, you know what to scoop out when spot cleaning then! Smells pleasant and more environmentally friendly too. Will buy again when shopping at Zooplus.

The pellets are so large and heavy that they don’t spread around the flat. Nothing sticks to the fur either. When they come into contact with urine, they simply disintegrate. We remove the faeces daily and sift the litter box every two to three days to get rid of the fine shavings. Even though we have two tomcats, it only smells of wood, which we find pleasant :)

We’ve got a sifting cat litter tray and this is the perfect stuff to use with it. It disintegrates into dust and shakes through into the bottom tray. Smells a bit better than some of the others I’ve used too.

Pellets are slightly larger than the Smart Pellets from Cat's Best. Doesn't bind the smell of cat urine well... Almost crumbles into dust when used, so you have to clean the litter box completely more often. Probably better suited for other small animals.

The product is excellent, doesn’t create dust, absorbs a lot and stays dry. My guinea pig, named Minnie, and I are very satisfied. Thank you very much!

I've read a few of the reviews on here and I think it's really a matter of preference. This litter does indeed turn to dust, but I prefer this as it doesn't stick to my litter tray, making it easier to clean. I have three cats in my household and find I have to empty two of the trays every 4 days as they wee in these and it does cause smell. However, I didn't think the clumping litter was any better. I found the clumping litter difficult to remove and I had to empty the tray just as frequently.

It lasts longer than the stone ones, hides odours better and doesn't fly out of the tray.

My usual cat litter was not in stock so I tried this! Useless stuff! The first time my cat had a wee, it went straight through the litter & just puddled in the bottom. After a couple of wees the litter began to smell very strong & then my cat refused to go in it. When I went to clean it out, the wee had made the bottom of the litter tray turn to wet stinking dust that fell apart when you tried to scoop it! I gave some to my mother to try for her cat and she found the same! Threw it out!

Absolutely useless for the cat litter tray. Doesn't clump, just crumbles into dust.

An overpriced product with a structure that's far too coarse. Completely unsuitable as cat litter for the following reasons: - Long wood pellets (like fuel for a stove) - Disintegrates upon contact with moisture (urine) into what it was made from – sawdust - Poorly binds faeces due to the coarseness of the pellets - Increased consumption due to the coarse structure and disintegration effect Conclusion: This product doesn't deserve its name! No comparison to Cat's Best Original.

Calling this litter "Cats Best" is misleading for the consumer. No clumping effect with urine at all. The litter disintegrates, making it very difficult to scoop out of the tray. Odour control is rather poor. Therefore, a maximum of 2 stars.

Unfortunately, we are not satisfied. The entire flat smells of ammonia.

Our cat does not use other gravels like wood. This one is perfect! Not too big, not too small. It is easily selected from the cuvette, absorbs urine, does not stink from the cuvette. I recommend :)

I have a maine coon and because of his furry feet, the other litter types end up EVERYWHERE in the house! This one is okay as it doesn't spread, but it will degrade after the cat pees and has to be changed frequently to avoid the trace of degraded powder. I'm going to try Cat's Best Smart Pellets and compare!
