AI-generated summary based on reviews added by customers
Cat's Best Original cat litter has received mixed reviews. Many customers appreciate its excellent clumping ability and odour control, making it a favourite for years. However, recent changes in the formula have led to complaints about increased dustiness, poor clumping, and tracking issues. Despite these concerns, some users still find it economical and effective, highlighting its lightweight nature and pleasant woody scent. Overall, it's a product that has its ups and downs depending on individual preferences.
Avoid if you have a long haired cat
If you have a long hair cat or semi long hair cat avoid. Due to the light weight of the litter it will stick to the cats coat and slowly be dispersed throughout the house.
Smell is pleasant, and clumping is not bad, but this stuff tracks everywhere. Every time the cat uses the litter tray, wood chips are scattered all over the house. Based on other review's I didn't think it would be that bad. However the scale of the tracking means that we can't continue using it unless we vacuumed every day and swept after each use.

I’m not buying it again!
I completely agree with all the points in Armin63's review. My two cats and I were super satisfied with this litter for six years. UNTIL THE LAST BAG :-( What bothers me the most is the much higher consumption due to the coarse granules. I've now ordered "Tigerino Ecoverde." So far, it's as great as CBÖP was before the change. So, as a tip for everyone who's disappointed, give it a try.

Consistency
The litter has been very well received by my little cats – 6 months old. However, it is quite dusty. It would be nice to make the granules a bit thicker. Unfortunately, it also takes time to find the right litter scoop to remove the used litter from the cat litter box.

Sour smell and caution with toilet disposal
On the first day of use, my toilet got clogged straight away. I was curious to see if this would keep happening. You can only dispose of very small amounts at a time, and on the second day, my toilet was briefly clogged again, so I had to resort to using the toilet brush once more. Every day when I come home, I’m greeted by a sour smell, which I wasn’t used to with the bentonite litter. I just hope that disposing of it via the toilet is worth it and that it doesn’t lead to a serious blockage in the sewage system. I wanted to save on waste and bin bags and give my cats something other than bentonite.

What more could you ask for?
Excellent litter. It clumps, it flushes, it's well-priced, it's good for the environment, and our cats like it. What more could you ask for?

Best ever
Before finding this product I have tried all the other supermarket brands but to no avail. All of them smelt horrible after my cat used the tray. I found Oko Plus Cat Litter really good and smell free. Would recommend.
I’m thrilled.
I've been using this litter for about 3 months now (+/- a few weeks maybe), and I'm thrilled. After searching for a clumping litter that wouldn't scratch my laminate flooring if some happened to get out of the tray, I came across this one and have been completely impressed. Only the areas that are actually affected by moisture clump together, which makes it very economical. My guests only notice my cat when she draws attention to herself, as there's absolutely no smell. My cat also accepts the litter without any issues. I can only recommend this litter!

Warning! Quality has massively deteriorated!
I can only agree with the recent reviews.
I, too, am now completely disappointed with this litter.
For years, I’ve been buying this product and was thrilled with its quality.
It was extremely economical, and the clumping ability was nothing short of first-class.
When my cat relieved himself, I would find only a small, solid clump afterwards, looking like a little tennis ball, which was incredibly easy to remove.
The odour control was excellent as well.
You couldn’t smell anything – at most, a faint woody scent. And it didn’t produce any dust either.
The litter was so economical that a 20-litre bag lasted me three months (with one cat).
You only needed to top it up a little every few days, and that was it.
And now?
For some time, I’ve already noticed a decline in quality. The clumping ability has worsened, there’s more dust, and the odour control is now only average.
But the last delivery was absolutely appalling! I must have received a new batch. The manufacturer is really pushing their greed to the limit now.
The first thing I noticed was that it was quite dusty.
The negative impression continued with the "clumping ability." I’m putting it in quotation marks because you can no longer call it proper clumping.
Instead of small, solid clumps, I now get large, soft patches. The litter has completely lost its absorbency.
These patches don’t hold together either; they crumble and fall apart immediately when you try to remove them.
Naturally, this means that unused litter is also removed along with it. After just three weeks, I already need to buy more this time.
Previously, the 20-litre bag – I can’t stress this enough – lasted a full three months.
That says it all.
Now I have to buy new litter, but one thing is certain – this litter will never come into my house again! It no longer delivers what it promises. I can only hope that more consumers show the manufacturer the red card.

Rather disappointing
I was looking for litter that lasts a long time and is preferably made from plant fibres or wood. After reading many reviews, I decided to buy Cat's Best Öko Plus.
My cats accepted it straight away. Unfortunately, I find the litter all over the flat. I've never had so much scattered litter before, even with a mat in front of the litter box.
I couldn't notice any clumping at all. Such a shame. Completely fed up with constantly vacuuming or sweeping, I've now removed the litter and gone back to my old bentonite litter.

Back to the original.
The litter clumps very well, and the odour control is strong. Extremely practical for indoor cats on the 5th floor: individual clumps can be disposed of via the toilet. A small drawback: since the litter is very lightweight, it tends to get "carried out" of the litter box.
In the meantime, I tried another, cheaper litter (GreenCat), which can also be disposed of via the toilet. However, the clumping there is barely adequate, and odour control is virtually non-existent. So I quickly switched back to Cat's Best.

The litter in a different quality
I was always quite satisfied with the litter, even though it’s dusty and gets carried out of the toilet very easily. But today I received my new order, and the litter is much coarser and doesn’t clump as well as it used to. The new packaging also no longer mentions that the litter can be disposed of in the toilet. Such a shame, it has deteriorated significantly.

Good idea, but execution... meh.
The fact that you can throw the litter into the toilet is just brilliant. But: the litter is scattered everywhere, on the couch or in the bed – super annoying.
At first, I thought the wood scent was great, but after a week, it started to stink. Absolutely unacceptable.

Almost perfect, but...
I use Cat's Best alongside silica litter, and both definitely have their advantages. Cat's Best absorbs perfectly, is very convenient to dispose of via the toilet, and doesn’t allow any odour to develop. BUT – and here’s the catch. It’s EVERYWHERE in the flat. Really EVERYWHERE. The silica litter spreads at most within a 2-metre radius around the litter box, but Cat's Best somehow manages to make its way even into my bed. It sticks to paws and socks, and that’s honestly incredibly annoying. Still, in terms of comfort and cleaning, I think it’s unbeatable in the litter box. That’s why I’m still giving it 4 stars, even though I now have to vacuum even more often than I already did.

Best litter ever, but.....
I’ve had cats for 30 years and plenty of experience with cat litter. This litter is the best ever, if it weren’t for the annoying scattering of pellets caused by the cats’ paws! On the positive side: it’s economical to use, the bags are lighter, and it’s absolutely dust-free!!! However, due to the constant scattering of pellets, I’m only giving it 4 stars.

Due to the good reviews
Based on the many good reviews, I bought the large bag of Cat's Best Öko Plus. At first, I was quite satisfied, but my two British Shorthair tomcats love digging around in this lightweight litter, and even a mat and a carpet don't stop it from being spread all over the flat. On top of that, it creates an incredible amount of dust.
I have to vacuum the area twice a day, which I never had to do before with the cheaper bentonite litter.

Best cat litter ever.
The cat litter is very economical, and the pee clumps nicely too. However, you shouldn't skimp when filling the litter box. What I particularly like is that it doesn't smear. The litter scoop stays nice and clean. The litter is extremely odour-binding; even after staying in the litter box for a longer time, there's no smell of cat pee, just that pleasant wood shavings scent. Of course, a few clumps might get carried out, but that happens with every litter.
Normally, I don't write reviews, but with this litter, I thought I had to. Never again will I use another one!!

Unfortunately, loss of quality.
I've had two cats for 4 years and came across Cat's Best through a recommendation. At first, it was great, but unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly. The litter sticks to their paws and, in the case of my tomcat, even to his fur. On top of that, it creates dust, and my tomcat ends up coughing because of it. The person who recommended it to me shares the same opinion. I'm currently looking for a new litter. Luckily, I have very easy-going indoor tigers.

Light cat litter!!!
I've been using this litter for about 3 weeks now. I have 5 cats, including 3 tomcats, here in the living room. The tomcats are real messy creatures and dig around in the litter box so much that I almost have to stand by with a broom to sweep up everything that flies out. Little piggies, those tomcats.
With Cat's Best Öko Plus, it works better. Not as much gets thrown out, and refilling is easier too, as the bag isn't so heavy. I've tried all sorts of cat litter, and for me, this one is the best—SUPER! It's not exactly cheap, but with 7 cats (two of them are outdoors!), nothing is cheap anymore anyway!

Mixed feelings
I think the litter is great. It has a nice, coarse texture and doesn’t get tracked all over the flat. It smells pleasant too. Unfortunately, after two days, my tomcat decided he didn’t want to use the toilet with this litter anymore. Maybe he would have accepted it if I had filled both toilets with it. But I didn’t want to take that risk. So, unfortunately, I had to switch back.

Super cat litter
Cats Best is a good cat litter. It doesn’t smell, and it lasts significantly longer than regular litter.
Unfortunately, it’s not completely dust-free. The advantage: it’s biodegradable. I’ve been buying this litter for a very long time. It was first recommended to me years ago at a cat exhibition. That’s how I discovered Cats Best.
