I filled one of our litter boxes with this litter, and none of our cats have used it since. I had higher hopes because of the good reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for us. After two weeks of no use, the litter was replaced with the regular kind again.

I've never had such terrible cat litter! It's just coarse sawdust being sold at a high price. Absolutely no odour control! After half a day, our house smelled like a public toilet. No clumping at all! The whole house was covered in the stuff.

No odour containment with faeces, and after every use, the crumbs fly around the flat.

It's economical, doesn't smell, clumps brilliantly, and the cat likes it! Some of it does stick to the paws, but the spread radius for us is roughly 30 cm.... I can only recommend it!!!!

About this litter – I used to buy other brands here for a long time, but this one is brilliant! Odour-eliminating, low-dust, and economical – simply fantastic. I'm sticking with it!

...unfortunately, unfortunately my cats hardly use it. I've had it for a month now and they've only been on it six times. Yet it really seems to be good. It doesn't smell at all, even when they've done a "number two" in it, nothing sticks to the bottom and it's very lightweight. Really a shame.

Never using anything else again! Has a very natural and pleasant scent! Clumping is spot on!

Best litter there is in my opinion. Odour control: 1++++++ (I should mention that I clean the litter box twice a day, but even then, I've had worse litter before.) I find the slightly woody smell of the litter very pleasant! Clumping: 1.5++++++ Could be better, but it's okay. Dust = 0 I've never spotted a speck of dust with this litter. ;-) The only downside, which I’m happy to live with... The crumbs are scattered all over my flat. But with this litter, I’m willing to overlook that. I hope the quality stays the same!

I've been buying this litter for many years. It clumps perfectly. Both of my tomcats love it. I find it much more pleasant than artificial litter. I used to dispose of it in the toilet, but now we have a compost bin. A 40-litre bag lasts quite a while with two cats (2-3 months). I'm completely satisfied. Nothing else will ever come into our house or the loo.

The litter is great, it does end up around the flat a bit, but at least it doesn’t smell... Sweeping it up a bit isn’t the end of the world :-)

Hi, I bought this litter because of the positive reviews. I used to always use Biokat's Micro Fresh cat litter and was satisfied, but I wanted to try something different. The most annoying thing is that the "bits" get scattered all over the flat, whereas with Biokat's Micro Fresh cat litter, almost everything gets caught in the rug in front of the litter box. Another negative point is that the poo smells awful compared to the previously mentioned one.

We've been using this litter for several years now and have always been very satisfied with it. It does produce a bit of dust, but the clumping and odour control were especially good. The price-performance ratio was more than acceptable for us. After all, we don't want to be one of those cat households where you can practically smell the residents as soon as you step through the door. That would be my absolute nightmare! I'd rather deal with a thousand cat hairs than have people wrinkling their noses. Up until now, this litter has worked well for us... Unfortunately, things have taken a dramatic turn for the worse over the past few months. We always buy the large 20kg bags, and I noticed with the second-to-last bag that the litter looked and smelled different somehow, and the clumps practically disintegrated, making quick and thorough cleaning almost impossible. As a result, a large portion of the litter has to be replaced each time, which leads to a massive increase in consumption. Even this issue might have been tolerable if the odour control hadn't also deteriorated significantly. What can I say – our cat uses the litter box once, and the whole room smells as if it hasn't been cleaned for days. I go to the litter box morning and evening armed with the scoop, yet I still can't prevent the smell of cat urine. Well, I thought maybe it was just a bad batch, so I hurriedly finished the bag and ordered the next one with renewed hope, as usual. But it keeps getting worse! Now I also have cat paw prints all over the flat, as if the little ones had been walking through clay or soil. I'm sorry, dear Cat's Best team, but you've lost me as a loyal customer... Incidentally, I was here looking for a different litter and noticed from many reviews across various brands that declining quality seems to be a widespread issue in the litter market. I hope this trend doesn't last long and that manufacturers come to their senses – let's wait and see.

I like the Cats Best Öko Plus cat litter because it’s very economical and absorbs urine well. However, it takes a bit of time to clump and tends to form rather soft clumps. The smell of faeces is only moderately absorbed. What I find really bad is that the size of the granules gets stuck in the cats’ paws and ends up being spread throughout the ENTIRE flat. Just one trip to the litter box is enough! I find the granules on the dining table, in my bed, basically everywhere the cat goes. I’ve never experienced this so severely with any other litter.

Smells "natural", not chemical or artificial. Clumps partially break apart and get spread around the flat. However, my kittens take to it well, and you can't smell the urine at all.

I've been using this litter for over three years and have tried various others in between – but I always end up coming back to Cat's Best. What I've noticed negatively is that the batches sometimes vary in quality. Unfortunately, I got a bad and rather large bag where the litter tray started to smell awful after just three days. Normally, you wouldn't notice any odour even after five days. That's why I would recommend ordering two smaller bags instead of one large one. Otherwise, the litter does spread quite a bit around the flat, but compared to other litters, it's not significantly worse. I vacuum every day anyway. You should ensure a certain fill height (6-10cm), as this helps it clump very well and prevents it from becoming mushy. The positive aspects, such as odour control and ease of use/disposal, are convincing, making this my absolute No. 1 litter. However, the manufacturer really needs to improve consistency in quality levels.

Super litter, the only downside is that the cats spread it around the flat or a small area around the toilet. It only creates dust when pouring it into the toilet. Clumps really well and is excellent at odour control. For me and my British Shorthair kittens, it’s just perfect.

... and I really don't like that – with 3 cats. Overall, I really like the natural and lasting scent. Another positive is that it's lightweight, can be partially disposed of in the toilet, clumps acceptably (though it could be better), and the odour control is genuinely good (2 tomcats). Unfortunately, it produces a lot of dust, breaks down into "sand" after a while, and gets carried all around the flatshare – which really diminishes the positive aspects for me, and I'm not entirely satisfied. We're currently trying out the Gold pellet litter from Öko Best in parallel, see the Gold review.

Recently tried another one, it was awful. What a stench. Now I truly appreciate this one - top product!

We tried Cat's Best Öko Plus and definitely won’t be buying it again. It spreads all over the flat. I have to vacuum my sofa twice a day – just so tedious! The odour control isn’t as good as with other litters, and the clumping is poor. On the positive side, I like that it can be disposed of via the toilet and that the litter itself has a pleasant natural scent. Still, the negative aspects outweigh the positives...
