Great bedding!
Clumps very well, binds the urine smell. After a little pile, there’s a bit of a cloud in the air for about 10 minutes, but let’s be honest, it’s not like humans smell of roses either (Tip: just air out briefly). 40 litres are enough for two litter boxes with twice-daily cleaning for about 8 weeks. So, it’s absolutely not expensive. My guinea pig boys, Max and Moritz, are very happy with the bedding. So am I, as there’s no urine smell and the clumps are easy to remove. All in all... highly recommended. A bit of dust comes with every type of bedding.

All in all: great litter
I think the litter is great, the clumping is ideal, and it binds odours really well. The only downside is that it gets carried out more easily, but that's what vacuum cleaners are for!

Combine with other litter
If you use this litter on its own, I feel like the cat urine tends to pool on the floor rather than being absorbed (due to the gaps in the wood litter) compared to regular clumping litter. That’s why I use, for example, Cats Exclusive clumping litter together with Cats Öko Best Plus. The "normal" (finer-grained) clumping litter stays on the floor and, as always, absorbs the urine well. I’m happy with this setup, and my cats haven’t behaved any differently so far.

Once and never again
Wanted to do something for the environment and found the litter very pleasant when filling it in, a light wood scent, small pellets; but our cat only used it once, then just wandered around the litter box yowling and eventually did her business in the hallway. The "clumping" – more like a slight sticking together of the wood pieces – is still tolerable, but our kitty reluctantly did her big business there without burying it (she usually digs like crazy); after two days of trying, I gave up and went back to using EC.

with rubber mat perfect
It fits perfectly for me and my cat. You do have to quickly scoop up the little piles of poo..., apparently the wooden scent intensifies... but there’s absolutely zero urine smell, and the litter lasts forever. However, it does smear quite a bit when wiping up the leftover crumbs. Sweeping is definitely better. The downside is outweighed by the big financial advantage: it lasts forever, and you don’t have to clear out half the litter tray with the scoop after every wee.
I’ve got a rubber mat in front, and since then, practically no crumbs are flying around anymore. I’m not switching back.

Once and never again!
It's all well and good to care about environmental protection, but it shouldn't come at the expense of quality!
My two cats still use it, but they've stopped burying anything. Urine is fine, but as soon as there's faeces in it, the smell is unbearable, even with a carbon filter in a hooded litter box with a door!

Super clumping
The smell is something Miezi and I need to get used to, despite the woody note. It’s super soft, even if it gets carried around the flat a bit (no more than with others) and you happen to step on it. Clumps fantastically. Doesn’t create any dust for me at all.

also...
Hello there!
I've had quite a few cats over the years and, as you can imagine, tried out loads of different types of litter! I've been using CBÖP for almost two years now – and honestly, I have no idea, but it’s never been dusty for me! It’s super efficient, though not exactly cheap, but if you compare the prices and the ratings... And with three cats, the 40-litre bag is definitely worth it! By the way, that bag lasts me at least three months, and that’s with cleaning 1-2 times a day (my tomcat is also a "corner pee-er").
Okay, some of it does stick to the cats' paws occasionally, but putting a rubber mat in front of the litter box solves 98% of the problem, and it only costs about 5 euros. As for the smell, I can’t say anything extraordinary – I can tell who’s been to the loo, though :) But if the smell bothers you too much, just take two minutes to clean up and toss it in the bin or compost, right?

TipTop
Clumps really excellently, and it smells very "wood-fresh". The cat doesn't track it through the flat any more than with other litters.

Not again
The litter becomes very dusty if it stays in the toilet for longer than 2 weeks (wiping it away with a damp cloth creates a greasy film). Additionally, my two cats threw the litter out quite a lot (hooded toilet with a door!) and didn’t accept it at first.
The clumping is okay, but they stopped burying their faeces, which they’ve started doing again with normal grey litter, and the smell is very intense (I came home and thought one of them had done their business right in the middle of the carpet in the hallway).
You have to completely change the litter at least every 3 weeks, otherwise it turns entirely into dust and feels damp.
I’m currently trying a "normal" clumping litter, and with this one, only a few grains fall out of the toilet, and I haven’t found anything in the living area so far, unlike with CBÖP.

Perfect for parquet
My litter tray isn’t in the bathroom but in the guest room. And I really appreciate that the litter crumbles when stepped on and doesn’t leave marks on the parquet flooring. Of course, the cats spread it around a bit, as they do with any litter. Otherwise: clumps well, hardly any dust.

Because of the lovely cats
The litter is really brilliant. It clumps, it's very economical, it doesn't smell – only the small bits of litter that occasionally spread around the bathroom are a bit annoying. But the cats love it, and you’re happy to spend 5 minutes with the vacuum cleaner to deal with it.

"Miracle Dust"
Hello,
The litter itself is great.
Its odour control and clumping ability are fantastic.
But it’s incredibly dusty. After just one week of use with a refresh, it’s unbearable.
So, for anyone who enjoys dusting, go for it!
Best regards,
Fam. Prokop

Good
The litter does exactly what it promises! Clumps really well, doesn’t smell, and is super economical. A small drawback: not so great for long-haired cats, as it gets stuck in their fur and ends up all over the house. – But I’d rather have a few grains on the floor than the stench of a dirty litter tray!

Perfect for the little tigers!
This cat litter was recommended to me, and I haven’t regretted the purchase.
It clumps immediately and is very economical.
My two little "tigers" accepted it straight away.
I can wholeheartedly recommend it!

Cat Litter Oekoplus
At the moment, we have 5 of our own cats and 6 guest cats, so for financial reasons, I was looking for a good clumping and compostable cat litter. We tried litter made from clay, recycled paper, and other materials. I can say that oekoplus is the best, as no wet residues remain in the litter box. The absorbency is excellent. We've gone back to this product and won't be switching again.
One small drawback should be mentioned, though. The litter often sticks to the claws. However, I'm happy to accept this minor disadvantage, as the benefits outweigh it.

Absolutely brilliant
We got the tip about CBÖP from the animal shelter where we adopted our Tigra. It doesn’t create any dust at all, except for the very last bit in the bag, which had a tiny bit of dust. The scent is really pleasant, like having new furniture in the house. It clumps absolutely perfectly – one scoop and everything is out! The only downside is that our little one carries the litter around the flat, which is a minor negative point. But otherwise, absolutely brilliant! We can only recommend it!

Environmentally friendly and more
I've been using this litter for quite a while now for our five cats, and I still think it's good.
Sure, there are better ones that form concrete-like clumps, but this one can be disposed of normally on the compost, and the clumps are nice too. You do have to clean it regularly though (which should go without saying, right?).
It doesn't stink, hardly produces any dust, is non-toxic, isn't too expensive, and you don't need much of it... Ideal!

For many years, the best!
We have 2 tomcats and 2 cats, and all four are thrilled with this litter, unlike other more expensive or cheaper varieties!! We also like the litter because the clumping is excellent, and the odour after use is minimal. The fact that the product is environmentally friendly makes it a highly recommendable cat litter!!
Unfortunately, my sweet little devils carry the grains (only unused ones!!) through the ENTIRE flat, which is the only downside we can point out. Still, 5 stars!!!

It won me over!
After the recent negative reviews, I was initially sceptical, but the test with CB Öko Plus was definitely worth it. It doesn’t stink at all (unlike Thomas Streu), and the clumps are easy to remove. They only fall apart if they’re still too damp. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this litter and can only recommend it!
