... for us ONLY eco plus from now on!
Hello zooplus customers,
I’ve been using this litter for over a year now and I’m completely satisfied. I have 4 cats and 3 large Gimpet litter boxes. I’ve ordered quite a few bags so far and have never found that the litter didn’t clump. I clean the cats’ toilet several times a day and can always remove good clumps, except for the business of one of my cats who is so enthusiastic about digging that she practically chops up the freshly formed clump... *laugh*.
The fact that the litter sticks to the bottom when the litter in the box starts to run low happens with other clumping litter products as well. On the other hand, this also depends on the design of the litter box. That’s why I recommend getting the Gimpet box (also available here), because the "Öko Plus" comes off perfectly in it due to its smooth surface!
I’ve also never noticed that this litter *dusts excessively*. Quite the opposite, bentonite litter produces significantly more dust and has triggered sneezing fits, both for me and two of my cats. I’ve tested different types of litter and boxes, putting a different litter in each box... and the result was that Öko Plus was mostly used, and oddly enough, the big business was only done in Öko Plus.
Furthermore, I’ve never noticed that the box smelled unpleasant. Of course, I understand that over time you might not notice the smell or perceive it as unpleasant anymore, but this has been confirmed to me repeatedly by various visitors and friends when I’ve asked them: "It doesn’t smell!"
So WE can only warmly recommend Cat’s Best Öko Plus litter... 5*****

Well...
I won’t be buying this "clumping" litter again. It doesn’t smell, but it’s really dusty... Let’s see what else they have to offer here.

sticks to the paws
The litter itself isn’t bad at all. It clumps REALLY well. Unfortunately, my cats spread the litter all over the flat because the large, soft granules stick to their paws. For someone who doesn’t mind having to vacuum or sweep twice a day, it’s definitely worth recommending.

Fine, except for...
...the sticking of urine clumps to the bottom of the litter tray and the partially inadequate absorption of urine. I haven’t figured out yet why it sometimes doesn’t absorb.

Doesn't clump and doesn't stink!
I bought this litter for the first time. Never again! Clumping? What a joke. Wobbly lumps that fall apart immediately and are a real hassle to remove. And if your cat has diarrhoea, this litter is an absolute disaster. It doesn’t absorb anything, no matter how well it’s buried.
I liked that the litter is made from plant fibres and that it’s lightweight. But that alone isn’t enough. I can’t understand why this litter is so highly praised.

Unfortunately, just mediocre!
As a long-time satisfied user of Extreme Classic, I was tempted to give CBÖP a try due to the special offer. Unfortunately, I can't say I'm impressed with this litter. It gets points from me for its weight and ecological recyclability, but the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. For long-haired cats, it's simply a no-go—it sticks to their fur, and for the first time, I've found litter crumbs elsewhere in the house, not just where the litter boxes are. Around the litter boxes, there are noticeably more shavings compared to the occasional crumbs from EC. The clumping behaviour is okay, but the litter isn't as easy to sift through with the scoop as EC. Whether the house smells like sawdust or baby powder is, of course, a matter of personal preference. ;-) My cats still prefer the litter box filled with EC. Conclusion: I'm going back to the tried and tested.

Not as great anymore
CBÖP has always been my go-to litter, but lately, it’s been terribly dusty. My tomcat loves digging, and after two weeks, half the litter box is full of wood dust, which I don’t find great.
My cat doesn’t like it much either. She quickly does her business and leaves without bothering to cover it up. Odour control and clumping are excellent, but it spreads all over the flat.
I’ve now switched to another litter that’s just as efficient, and my two seem to love it.

Hangs perfectly on long fur...
The litter is actually great in terms of usage, and the absorbency is good too, if only my two tigers didn’t have long hair. Everything gets stuck and, because it’s so lightweight, ends up being spread around the house.

No dust
I switched my tomcat from Catsan after reading some awful things about bentonite, which also applied to my cat regarding the dust. Naturally, he wasn’t happy about it at first. He complained a lot. So I started mixing it and gradually reduced the amount of Catsan in the litter box. By now, he has (had to) accept it – for the sake of his own health. It’s great to use, clumps well, and doesn’t smell. However, I always clean the litter box immediately and make sure to thoroughly clean everything every 8 to 14 days. Only the good litter is used, and it’s either refilled or completely replaced. After all, we wouldn’t want to use a dirty toilet ourselves!!!

Fast, absolute satisfaction
My kitty and I are very happy with this litter! It clumps like no other and doesn’t smell anymore.
The only problem is that I have to vacuum every day. But what wouldn’t you do for a house tiger...

Cats Best is the best!!!
Cats Best Öko Plus is truly the best product on the market. Environmentally friendly in production and disposal, incredibly absorbent, dust-free, odourless, highly efficient, and therefore offers a value for money that no other litter can match.

Everyone is very satisfied!
We've only been using this litter for about two months, and we can say that we're all (humans & cats) satisfied. Our two little wild tigers immediately started using their litter box. Furthermore, we don't find it particularly dusty—at least no more or less than other litters. We previously used Catsan, but after thoroughly researching the topic, we won't be bringing any "bentonite" litter into the house again. If our cats are happy, then we are too!

Light but musty
We’ve tried several types of litter before. Most recently, the eco-litter alongside the Extreme Classic, and I have to say, there’s no comparison. Unlike the Extreme Classic, the eco-litter only clumps partially, and the urine clumps crumble when cleaning. Our three cats noticeably avoided the litter box with the eco-litter. As soon as you entered the flat, it smelled like musty sawdust, and you could trace who had last used the litter box by the marks left behind. Furthermore, the litter is far too coarse and later separates into dust and granules. The dust spreads evenly around the litter box, though not as excessively as with other clumping litters, and is particularly stubborn in the carpet. When it comes into contact with water or urine, the dust turns into a sticky mass that sets like glue! Such a shame—we were looking forward to continuing to use this litter because of its minimal weight.

economical
We’ve tried other cheap litters too, but the clumping was very poor with those. I can’t say that this litter is dusty. We’re very satisfied: odour control is excellent, it’s economical, crumbles less, and is highly absorbent. Above all, you can dispose of the clumps without worry via the toilet, the organic waste bin, or the compost (saves the extra bin, etc.) since it’s 100% biodegradable – no worse than our toilet paper (after all, that’s also made from "wood raw material"). If the price were a bit lower, it would get a "very good" rating from me.

Harmful greasy residue
I am a breeder and have been using this cat litter for several years. Until now, I was very satisfied with its efficiency and odour-binding properties. However, it has always been very problematic to wet-clean the area around the litter box. A stubborn greasy film forms, likely due to the glue-like substance with which the wood pellets are impregnated. If the litter is used for more than a week, the pellets gradually disintegrate into wood dust, which the animals inhale as dust. This leads to a paste accumulating in their noses, which has caused two of my animals to suffer from colds and breathing difficulties in recent months. A serious issue, very unfortunate! I would have liked to continue buying this product.

Top-notch
Good litter, pleasant scent of wood, very efficient!!!! Really lasts a long time. Since it's wood particles, I can also dispose of it in the green bin – other litters just cement in there! The clumps sometimes stick to the fur, but my Coon isn't matted and manages to clean herself. You have to brush them anyway.
It doesn't create any dust at all! I'm super satisfied with it and can only recommend it – it's definitely worth a try... there's even a small pack available. Absorbency is also top-notch!

I think it's great.
I think this litter is great. It clumps well and also binds odours effectively. With other litters, most of it usually stuck to the bottom of the litter tray. Another advantage, in my opinion, is the lighter weight, as lugging a heavy bag up to the first floor of the flat isn’t exactly fun either.

Well, I guess...
At first, I thought the litter was quite good because it’s so nice and light. However, my cats only reluctantly went to the toilet. You could tell by looking at them that they didn’t like the strong wood smell. They didn’t enjoy digging in the litter either and quickly ran off after doing their business. Such a shame. I ended up using the rest of the litter for our dwarf rabbit, and at least it was happy with it.

It doesn't get any better than this!!!
We use this cat litter in our cat boarding facility. It's absolutely brilliant!! It doesn't smell like cats at all (and that's saying something with the number of cats we have)!!!
