40 kilos?
It's not 40 kilos, but 40 litres, which for this litter corresponds to about 20.8 kilograms. Calculated per kilo, it costs roughly 85 cents.
This puts it in the higher price range, but as a truly biodegradable product, it's still quite affordable!
My two tomcats love it; it's excellent at binding odours as long as they bury everything properly, and it can be easily disposed of via the toilet until the next full clean-out (once a week). The only downside is that while it forms great clumps, the unused litter gets scattered all over the flat because it sticks so well to their paws. Hence, only a "good" rating!
It would also be nice if the price per kilogram could be clearly stated, as it seems, intentionally or not, to cause confusion!

Adjustment period
At first, our cats didn’t want to use it at all and preferred their usual litter. I thought to myself: Oh no, 40 kilos literally down the drain. I assume it’s because it’s very coarse-grained, and the scratching sounds and feels different. Thank goodness that changed after a few days. Now they’re using it, although I’m not sure if all three cats are on board. At first, I thought, ew, there’s still pee on top, but that was only because our old tomcat simply forgets to cover up his business. And he manages to track it quite well through the flat. I haven’t noticed any bad smells. It clumps well, I’m satisfied and would buy it again.

BRILLIANT!!
My little indoor tiger and I are absolutely thrilled with this cat litter.
He took to it wonderfully.
It hardly produces any dust, has a very natural and pleasant smell.
But the best part is the amazing odour control and perfect clumping!
I've never used better cat litter – I can only recommend it to everyone!

Almost perfect.
The litter is great in every respect (okay, it does kick up a bit of dust when scooping): it clumps well, absorbs moisture brilliantly, smells pleasantly of wood, and hardly gets carried out of the toilet on their paws. Unfortunately, unfortunately, unfortunately, one of my cats absolutely refused to accept it and bolted out of the litter box like she'd been startled. After holding out for six hours, she then left me a hefty pile on the kitchen floor... So, I'm back to using regular clumping litter. Such a shame, as the eco-litter really impressed me with its properties.

Very good, highly recommended!
My cats love it, and so do I! It doesn’t smell, is easy to dispose of in the toilet, and has minimal tracking.
I’m simply satisfied.
The only downside is that it’s very expensive, but it lasts a long time!

Application advice
Of course, you need to use cat litter properly... When I read comments like "wet spots" or "doesn't clump," the first storm clouds start to gather!
A layer of 1-2 cm of litter is obviously not enough! Pee naturally sinks downwards, and if you only have the mentioned 1-2 cm of litter, it’s never going to work. By the way, with 1-2 layers of toilet paper, you’d regularly poke through it too :-).
At our place, the litter in the cat tray is about 10-15 cm thick, and we never have any issues because the moisture is immediately absorbed.
That said, it’s worth mentioning that this cat litter takes a bit longer to form solid clumps, but in return, it smells much nicer and hardly creates any mess.

Too expensive, smells quickly
The litter started to smell after just 4 days, despite regularly removing the clumps. The small bag only lasted me 5 days. Ideally, I would prefer biodegradable litter, but not at this price.

Best cat litter
A fantastic product!! It absorbs well, lasts a long time, and is easy to dispose of thanks to its lightweight – no more heavy, concrete-like lumps. And my cat now happily uses his litter box after rejecting quite a few other types of litter. I can only recommend this product. Many thanks!!

Clumps well, disposal top-notch!
It smells like new furniture, hardly creates any dust, my cat scratches excessively and buries his business, yet the litter outside the toilet is kept within limits and can be considered "normal". It clumps really well, and the BEST part: take the scoop, straight into the toilet, and flush! That alone made me want to test the litter and hope it was good – and it won me over.

It's alright in principle, but...
Hello,
our can openers bought us this eco-litter. The good thing is that when we dig, which is our favourite thing to do, our paws don’t get as dusty anymore. However, when we really dig properly, sometimes a clump falls apart and mixes with the clean litter. That’s not so great. But our human has a trick – she always mixes it with Biokats Compact Fresh, so it clumps better and the unpleasant smell that develops after a while doesn’t happen anymore. The perfect mix. Our human doesn’t have to carry heavy bags anymore either, because the litter is really nice and light.
Greetings, Minnie and Sunny

Probably the best cat litter on the market (no more smells)
This litter is made from 100% natural organic fibre is lightweight so easy to carry. It really does bind odours when cleaning the tray it is so easy to gather the soiled litter which clumps together so you can tell straight away the clean from the used litter the soakage is amazing so it takes a while to get through a bag which makes it economical to use. This is a superior organic litter that is compostable 100% biodegradable which is great for any of you eco friendly people out there.

Super bedding!!!
On the recommendation of my friend, who has seven cats, I ordered this litter and I’m super satisfied! I used to have two cats before and bought the regular bentonite clumping litter, which ended up scattered all over the flat, even though it was much, much heavier than Cat’s Best Öko Plus! On top of that, it practically stuck to the bottom of the litter tray as if you’d used cement instead of litter! I’m absolutely thrilled with Cat’s Best! Sure, there’s a bit of litter in front of the tray, but if that bothers you, then maybe you shouldn’t have a pet, as they’re bound to make a bit of mess! The smell of this litter is fresh (like shredded pine trees), and it’s super economical! Clumping is spot on! My tomcat loves digging around in it, and I love it because of the scent, the easy disposal, and its high efficiency! The friend I mentioned earlier has 7! cats, and she only uses this litter! She certainly wouldn’t have recommended it to me if she wasn’t happy with it herself! So, to wrap it up: top-notch litter, grade A******! Greetings to all cat lovers!

Really good litter!
Although, as many have already said, it’s very lightweight and tends to roll across the floor, it’s otherwise absolutely brilliant! It absorbs odours really well and clumps perfectly. Plus, it’s environmentally friendly :-) !

If it's good for the environment...
So, I’ll give it two stars. But only for that reason.
I’ve been a "cat beginner" for 1 1/2 weeks now and initially used up two "samples". Everything was fine. Then I switched to Cat's Best Öko Plus, thinking, only the best...
But it was a complete disaster. The clumps are wet (this morning, to top it all off, I could track paw prints – in the muddy clumps), and for the first time, I’ve had litter all over the house.
When "sifting" it, it creates so much dust that I no longer want my kids cleaning the litter box. But sometimes the little one is too quick...
As the saying goes: I bought this product twice – the first and the last time.

We love it!!!
We are: Jack, Elmo, Teddy, and Momo, and we all love this litter! We've been using Cat's Eco Litter for 2 years now. I, Elmo, a Persian breed, unfortunately spread a bit of this litter around the flat to the dismay of my tin opener (human) – but the lady of the house always sweeps it up. It smells wonderfully natural, clumps perfectly for us, and our housemates don’t always have to lug (buy) new litter, as it’s very long-lasting. What’s great and practical is that we can dispose of the litter in the organic waste bin, but also in the human toilet. We’re sticking with this litter. Cats above all else...

I think it's good.
Very lightweight material – I don’t have a carpet at the location, so that’s not an issue. I don’t find it to be very dusty. Very odour-neutral. One of my tomcats initially refused it, but I managed to convince him in the end.

The best there is!
I've been using Cats Best Öko for over a year now and I'm completely satisfied!
Recently, I bought a mat for under the litter box, so the problem with litter flying around has finally been solved.
I guess, since it's a natural product, it might have some natural variations, meaning it sometimes absorbs or clumps more or less, but it's still 1000 times better than any other litter.

Finally, the perfect litter!!
After trying all sorts of products for our two sweet little tigers, we are firmly convinced that Cat’s Best is simply unbeatable. I can’t understand the negative reviews here – I mean, every litter gets carried into the house; you’ve got animals at home, and they make a mess! Vacuuming or not, the main thing is that the litter doesn’t smell at all (it has a lovely fresh wood scent) and that it clumps wonderfully. However, contrary to the manufacturer’s recommendation, I wouldn’t advise disposing of it in the toilet. We’ve been using it for 10 months now, and after 6 months, we had our first clogged drain... So, as usual, into the organic waste bin. So, folks, buy this litter – it’s also very economical to use! Best wishes from the North Sea, Katharina & Michael with Timmi and Luca
