Something has changed...
We have used this cat litter for several years, and have been very satisfied with it.. until recently. Now it seems to have changed, and it tracks everywhere and sticks to our cat's paws and fur around his back legs. This is very disappointing, we are now seeking a better alternative.

Very disappointed.
After reading all the plaudits for this cat litter, I thought I would buy it. It is without a doubt one of the worst cat litters that I have ever used for my two cats. The cat litter disperses everywhere. It must stick to my cats paws because I am constantly finding it on my sofa, carpets etc. There is also a sickly smell that is quite overpowering, and I have to change the litter tray more frequently. For the price it is simply not worth the money.

Unfortunately not for us
We were really hoping to find a sustainable cat litter but this one just isnt for our cat.
It holds odour well, but we would find ourselves changing it more often than usual because it would biodegrade instantly (So i guess it does what its meant to do)
For us though we just cant keep up with needing to change litter as often as this one needs to be changed because it turns to mush so quickly.
Spreads EVERYWHERE!
This litter is actually ok in preventing smells from the tray and it’s easy to clean out as it clumps but it spreads all over the house. We bought mats to try and stop it but they’ve not helped at all - literally every room in the house gets covered and we are sweeping and vacuuming several times a day. Wood- based from the supermarket is much better.

Disappointing
Thought I would try it but not for me. The cats are not keen and it breaks up when taking it out of the try. Just goes mushy. Wil go back yo my old little as was much better.

Treads all over the floor and carpets - Messy!!
I usually buy Benek but it was out of stock. I used recycled paper crumbs a while ago and this is very similar in type, it’s lightweight and sticks to the cats feet, tail and nose so the house is littered with bits of this lightweight litter. Wil Not buy again

Tracks everywhere
I have used this litter for a few months now. I loved it at first as it was the first clumping cat litter I used. No dust or smell and clumps easily. Lasts ages too but the tracking omg is the worst. With 2 ragdolls with long hair it gets stuck to their fur and ends up EVERYWHERE. Now on the lookout for a new clumping cat litter.

I used this for years but...
They changed the formula a few months ago and it's just not the same. It won't clump as easily and there are sometimes puddles. It also gets tracked a lot more easily. Not happy.

New but NOT improved
I have used this litter when I catsit for my daughters cats . I ordered a bag of ‘new and improved ‘ but as I had half a bag of the old formula I could easily compare the difference when I changed from one to the other . The new litter is dustier , it doesn’t clump anywhere near as well as the old litter and it is much stinkier. It is also brought out of the litter tray on the cats paws a lot more , I have always recommended this litter to other people but I can no longer say it is the best.

They changed it!!
I've used this litter for years and even converted other cat parents over to it, it was great at holding smell and clumped well. I have breathing difficulties and there was no dust so it was perfect and I was willing to pay the price. And then they changed it. Now it is incredibly dusty, it tracks EVERYWHERE and doesn't hold the smells at all. The clumping isn't brilliant anymore, the pee just turns into a weird jelly mush unless you leave longer than you should. Now in search of a better brand!
Good odour control but terrible tracking
Tried this as an alternative to Worlds Best litter, but stopped using it after 2 weeks. I think it controls the smell slightly better, but it tracks really badly. Litter all over the house, maybe 7 metres away, so you have to clean several times a day and it doesn't feel very hygienic

This used to clump neatly and stop smells brilliantly.
Since buying a new lot I noticed it was falling apart instead of staying clumped and stinking the room out constantly. I then looked on the bag to find a note "new design same quality"...I do not agree. Change it back please. For now I need to find a new supplier. No different to most other brands now so not worth paying more. Don't bother.

Used this for my two indoor rescues for years, but recently it does not clump wee into balls, it mixes in with dry/clean litter ans stays damp so it doesnt scoop? why oh why have they changed it, it used to be by far the best, masked smells and clumped so well, looking for a new litter now

Have purchased this product for years. It was Oko Cats Best but name changed as did the product. Last 2 40lt bags were a great disappointment. Different colour, texture and odour control. Also my four indoor cats track litter all over the place. Why did they change the original formula? I do not recall any notification of when they did this or any reason why! Am due to order more cat litter but it will not be Cats Best sadky

Just to add to the recent reviews, have been buying for a number of years but last bag just didn't clump at all, bits just falling apart when cleared out. Shame as was really good before.

Quality has dropped
Been buying this stuff for nearly 2 years since Bob was a kitten. Originally it was amazing, clumps stuck together solidly and although it did track, it wasn't too much. But the last few months the quality has changed dramatically. Even Bob's small ping pong sized clumps fall apart when you get them out and the tracking is horrible, now the stuff gets everywhere. It is still decent at hiding smells hence the two stars but i'm trying to find alternatives now, which is such a shame.

I have used this cat litter for years - seems to have changed along with the name, now get a mess over the whole house - I did buy another make to try but the cat hasn't used that tray yet. So will have to buy some more of this and hope it was a bad batch. Lets hope the makers read the reviews
Not as good as it used to be
Ive been using Cat's Best Öko Plus for 2-3 years with no issues until of recent. Now its extremely dusty and it tracks like crazy. I find bits all over the house in places it shouldnt be, like on my sofa! Such a shame as a 40l+20l lasts me about 6-8 months but I have to start looking elsewhere now :(

Disappointed after over 15 years of use
I used to really like this litter and even recommended it to my friends and family, but lately it's just not possible anymore: it gives off a lot of dust that makes people cough, so it must be bad for cats too… and on top of that, my cats get it everywhere!
I'm looking for an alternative… unless the many reviews similar to mine convince the manufacturer to go back to the previous version.

Decline in quality

Dissatisfied
The fact that you can flush it down the toilet doesn't make up for how dusty it is (to the point it makes you want to cough), how much it spreads around the flat (even with a short-haired cat, it ends up in the laundry), and how poorly it absorbs smells, especially from faeces. Not economical!
Same opinion for Cat's Best Original and Greenwoods plant fibre since they're basically the same litter.
- Not economical at all! The bin fills up in 1.5 days instead of 3 with Biokat Organic Fibre Wood
- Lots of dust/powder after... 2 days! (Not recommended for asthmatic cats)
- Stays "dirty". The broken pellets are so big it's impossible to remove everything that's soiled...
- Not much litter outside the tray, that's true, but it's replaced by dust... which is even worse.

Light throughout the whole house
After years of using Benek Corn, I thought I'd give this another try. Well, I sure found out. We were away on holiday for a week. My regular cat sitter immediately told me that the clumps with urine fall apart straight away and are really hard to scoop.
On top of that, I'm really glad I had robot vacuum cleaners running daily both upstairs and downstairs. Both are completely full of granules. Even in the attic, the stuff is everywhere. And our litter boxes are downstairs... Awful stuff. Back to Benek!

It got worse
I don’t know what happened to this cat litter. I’ve been ordering it for 8 years, but the last few orders just aren’t the same as before. Much more economical than bentonite litter. With diarrhoea, it could have been hidden under less than 20 litres and it still would have stunk. Loved it for years, but sadly that's changed now
