FURminator DeShedding Tool - Long Hair Cats

My human bought this for me. Apparently I was leaving fur everywhere. I have to say though it’s really got rid of my knots in my under fur and I’m so much more comfy. I think it’s probably going to be great in hot weather to.

This is THE best comb around! The amount of fur I get off my boy is crazy! So easy to use and he likes it too!

definitely the best, as everybody says, tho I have a medium size british cat, medium hair and I couldn't imagine the waste of time brushing it with the small size brush, large is just perfect. I also went for the long hair one and I think is just perfect.

The Furminator has made a massive difference in the amount of hair my Birman cat sheds and I would whole heartedly recommend you buy this! I often work from home with the cat on my lap and her (white) hair used to go all over my (black) keyboard, phone and other office equipment. I have noticed a huge difference to this since using the Furminator. You won't regret buying it and my kitten even purrs as I brush her!

Never bother leaving reviews but this is wonderful!! My cat sheds sooooooo much and the house gets covered top to bottom in fluff! But this removed so much of the loose hair. Couldn't believe it. Needed treats to let me groom her at first as she not used to it. But no objection once the dreamies came out!! Well worth the extra spend.

I will echo another reviewer who said they had avoided getting the furminator because it seemed a bit pricey. More expensive than an ordinary pet comb it may be but it's no ordinary comb. I've have just used it for the first time on my two Birmans and I was amazed at the quantity of fur that came away. I really feel it shows almost immediately, that is their coat looks to lay smoother and I should imagine once they've been throughly combed all over it will be much easier to keep on top of their grooming. Hoping for less hair balls in them and the vacuum cleaner in future.

I have two semi-long hairs and who shed and chase each other and play (and fight) a lot which normally results in a flurry of fur everywhere – normally it starts accumulating straight after I’ve hoovered. Just brushing them with this once a week has made a huge difference to the amount of fur everywhere. I think you really have to see it to believe it but the amount of fur I got off them after a quick brush was shocking - it would have taken me much, much longer to get that amount with their usual brushes. They both love being brushed and enjoy being groomed with this tool too, which did surprise me a bit because it seems pretty heavy duty. I bought this at half price and I’m not sure I would have bought it at full price but now I can totally see why it’s pricey and I think if you have the money it is worth it. My cats love it, it’s efficient, effective, their coats look beautiful and no more hairballs (I have been feeding James Wellbeloved adult hairball too and have seen a massive improvement in the hairball situation – all round happy cats).

This is a fantastic product, the amount of excess fur it removes has to be seen to be believed. My two Ragdolls are suffering alot less with hair balls since I started using the FURminator. I am so glad I spent the extra money on the FURminator.

This is brilliant. I have 13 year old Norwegian Forest and the last few winters she's been developing deep knots in her fur. THIS actually moves them - I'm delighted.

My cats all go outside and using this has significantly decreased the sheading of their hair in the house and it leaves their coats looking fantastic! Expensive but well worth the money

The stainless steel teeth glide nicely through the fur and the hair dust actually stays in the collection compartment instead of spreading all over the floor. The handle is small and feels comfortable in the hand. With very long fur, you have to go over it twice, but that's not a problem. Delivery was on time and the packaging was undamaged. Overall, I can definitely recommend this product.

After two months of daily use, I can wholeheartedly recommend this tool. The stainless steel prongs are sturdy enough for the undercoat of my long-haired cat, yet still comfortable to hold. The collection flap can be emptied without anything sticking, which is the biggest difference compared to my previous comb. The only downside is the unnecessarily tough packaging. Overall, it's a definite buy.

I have two cats, one with long hair who doesn’t like being brushed and had loads of matted fur. With this brush, he tolerates brushing much better and I was able to get rid of his knots. The other cat, who has short hair, absolutely loves this brush. Plus, they’re both shedding less hair all over the house now.

A really, really good product! I got it for my mother-in-law and her cat, and both of them feel much more at ease when it comes to brushing. After the first use, you could practically make another cat out of all the fur collected. Highly recommend!

My cat only weighs 4 kilos, she's a small, compact breed with semi-long fur, but size S is way too small for her. The micro-knots still stay in the undercoat, as the tool doesn't even reach there – the prongs are too short. I expected more.

I have a ragdoll kitty and with just one stroke, the Furminator brushes out as much fur as I used to get with at least five passes of another comb! I don’t usually write reviews, but I really have to recommend this to all desperate cat owners. 🥰 For me, it’s the best! We’re going to buy another one as a backup.

I am extremely satisfied! I use this product once a week for my Scottish Fold long-haired tomcat, and it's very easy to use and extremely well tolerated (my tomcat is 5 months old).

I ordered a furminator for long hair but I received one for short hair, that's why I gave 4 stars. I don't know what difference the one for long hair would have made, but this one is okayish too. Better than regular brushes.

Received a box that had been opened and closed with painter's tape! The brush doesn't work and has clearly been used! I really think it's disappointing when you buy such an expensive brush and expect to receive something new.

While brushing my cats (I have quite a few), I felt like their hair was being pulled out (the sound it made). None of my cats were happy, and some even started meowing and hissing – they tried to attack the furminator. I really didn’t expect things to go this way, and I’m not sure if I’ll use it again.

Bad, plus I tried it on both my cats. It didn’t groom them and actually cut their fur, so now they look awful and I’m especially sad for my Maine Coon because she now has a horrible ruff at several levels. At least it was just a test on each of them.

REMOVES A LARGE AMOUNT OF UNDERCOAT EFFECTIVELY. WELL TOLERATED BY THE CAT. MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

I’d been having trouble removing my cat’s dead hair for a while, since the other combs I had didn’t really grab it well, and in the end there were loads of fluff floating around and very little hair actually collected in the comb—especially now in spring/summer, when he’s shedding. I tried this one and after just a couple of strokes along his back, it picked up so much dead hair that I had to take it off by hand before I could keep combing. It was definitely worth spending a bit more money.
