Beautiful and practical cat flap
I had the cat flap installed in my kitchen window by a glazier and I’m thrilled. It looks great and, most importantly, it closes very quietly and is easy for the cat to open. The brush edge makes the flap nicely windproof, so there’s no draught. I can absolutely recommend the flap.

Flap secured with nylon threads
The flap itself is high-quality and well-made. However, the hinges of the flap are far too thin. I drilled two holes each in the frame and the plastic above the flap and threaded a nylon cord through them. Now the flap has held up for 5 years with 3 cats :-)

puddles
This flap lets the rain in everytime it pours in We have to have towels under it I am dreading the winter. Always used staywell in the past but recently had double glazing units and the flap is cut into the glass panel it is rubbish massive puddles of rainwater flood my kitchen each time it rains !!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, it didn’t even last half a year.
Unfortunately, the cat flap didn’t even last half a year. The flap broke off at the hinge along with part of the door. I’m now ordering a second one because the cut-out in the glass was made specifically for this flap. I really hope it lasts longer this time. If I weren’t dependent on the dimensions, I wouldn’t buy it again.

Cat Flap Pet Mate 4-Way Lock
Unfortunately, this cat flap isn't very durable. With the first flap, my tomcat broke off the locks, and with the second one, he smashed the entire pane.

Unfortunately, not as sturdy as promised.
The flap is nice and works well, but unfortunately, it’s not very sturdy. About three-quarters of a year after installation, the door broke off because one of the cats dashed through it too forcefully. Since then, I’ve been sticking it back together repeatedly with superglue. Yesterday, it happened again, and now the corner with the hinge is nowhere to be found. Is the door available as a spare part for purchase?

Cat flap Pet Mate 4-way lock
The flap itself unfortunately only lasted 4 weeks before one of the brackets broke off. Plastic glue doesn’t work on this material!! (It’s winter, and there’s a draught coming through the flap – with or without the door.)
I’ve been sitting at my computer for hours trying to find a replacement flap somewhere!

The operating materials could be improved.
Because the operating material is inadequate and not sturdy enough.

Cat-proof, but not child-proof
Our cats get along well with this product, but unfortunately, our children removed the magnet that keeps the door upright. Sadly, this magnet can't be ordered separately, so now we need flap no. 2.

Not a very sturdy flap
I already have to buy the third door because the flap on the other two broke off. I have the flap installed in the balcony door, and three cats regularly use it.
Why the flap broke off is beyond my understanding.
In strong winds, the flap often moves along... but it really should be able to withstand that.
It's frustrating that you can't just reorder the flap on its own.

Independent tomcat
We have a small balcony protected by a net. For the balcony door, we had a new pane of glass installed by the window fitter – with a hole for the flap. The flap itself is easy to mount.
And my two tomcats quickly figured out that they can now go onto the balcony whenever THEY want, rather than waiting for me to finally get up. Since that day, the litter box has also been on the balcony (I’m curious to see how that works out in winter...). The flap opens relatively easily but still holds up against the wind. Unfortunately, I don’t know how well it insulates, as it hasn’t been very cold yet.
But I’m always happy and delighted when I see my two running in – running out – running in – running out – running in – running out, without me having to get up from the couch – and, of course, when I’m at work all day. I think they might even sleep on the balcony – but I’m not entirely sure about that.

Independent cats
We have two tomcats and a balcony protected with a cat net. We had a new glass pane installed in our balcony door, which included the "hole" for the flap.
Installing the flap was straightforward.
The cats quickly figured out how it works – within about 10 minutes.
The flap opens with relatively little pressure but doesn’t open due to the wind.
We have double-glazed insulation. The flap itself is made of transparent plastic.
Surprisingly, even with snow and cold weather, very little cold air gets in.
Friends have told me that the flap can freeze shut, but for us, no rain or snow reaches the flap.
All I can say is – the cats use the flap very diligently, and we’re glad about it!

the great escape
Fitted this cat flap and within 48 hours my found my cats had managed to get out by furiously clawing and pushing at the clips, one kindly gave me a demonstration - so its back to opening and closing the door.

For 15 years, the same cat flap - brilliant!
I’ve had 7 cats at the same time over the past 17 years, and now I’m down to 5. I had this flap installed in the balcony door about 15 years ago, and today I replaced it with a new one—not because it’s broken, but simply because the brush has thinned out a bit and the plexiglass has become slightly dull, which isn’t surprising after 15 years. Nothing lasts forever. The flap still works perfectly, and I have cats that dash through it at full speed! I can only give this flap the highest praise. By the way, it’s much quieter than the Staywell flaps I have in the interior doors. From me, as a long-time multi-cat mum, it’s a solid “very good.”

I can only recommend it...
I've been using the cat flap for over 6 years with a cat population of 10 to 15 animals. It's been used intensively – day and night, in heat and cold – and only now have the pins on the flap broken. A small downside is that the passage is quite small, and one or two of my cats (Maine Coons) have to 'squeeze through'. However, since I've been very satisfied otherwise, I will buy it again.

Daily endurance test with three cats!
We had this cat flap installed in the insulated glass window of our living room.
The flap leads to our secured terrace and has been used at least 100 times a day for the past 1 1/2 years, as we have three cats who go in and out very frequently.
So far, nothing has broken, even though our youngest sometimes refuses to believe it's locked.
The only downside is that in winter, the flap sometimes freezes, so the cats can get out but can't get back in.

cheap material
Looks alright, but because of the round design, you can't just switch to a different flap as the hole doesn't fit (too wide). Our cat (quite small) has already broken the cheap plastic flap door for the third time (3!!!), seems like it's a deliberate weak point – of course, there are no replacement flaps available! Better steer clear of it.

Broken door again and again
Unfortunately, my cats are among the more active ones and have already managed to break the door three times! As has been described many times before, the pins and corners of the inner door always break. I tried gluing it once, but the next time it was the other side. :-( I can't try an alternative either, as the matching hole is already in the window. Sure, they're not expensive, but being able to buy individual doors would be very practical! Next time, I'll keep the receipt and contact the manufacturer about the 3-year warranty. :-)
