helps
Our cat was diagnosed with IBD, a chronic gastrointestinal disease.
Since he started getting this food along with cortisone, he's been doing great.
He didn't like the stomach food from H*.
I never find the ingredients in RC particularly impressive, but this food does the job: no more diarrhoea.

Absolutely recommendable!
Our cat (16) has IBD, comparable to Crohn's disease in humans. For years, it was an odyssey from one vet to another.
Until this food was recommended to us.
We can absolutely recommend it. There hasn’t been a single flare-up since!

Helps with constipation
Our tomcat has digestive issues due to an injury. He constantly suffers from constipation and unintentionally loses faeces – previously several times a day. With this food, things have improved significantly. He hasn’t had constipation for weeks and only loses a lump 1-2 times a month at most. Despite the high price, it’s truly recommendable.

Perfect for my cats
My youngest kitten came to us with a nasty parasite (do not ask how the breeder allowed this to happen)! This causes severe diarrhoea. We tried a number of products but this is product is fabulous. She is almost entirely asymptotic now and, whilst a fussy eater, enjoys the small chunks. I agree with an earlier reviewer that it would be great to stock more flavours (if they have others?) as she can get a bit bored. Can't recommend highly enough!!!!

IBD
My cat has IBD in its most severe form. With the food and the cortisone, she's doing great for the first time in years and is thriving again. I'm very grateful for that!

Very satisfied
Normally, I’m not a fan of Royal Canin and was very sceptical when our vet gave us this food. Our little kitten, 4 months old, had been suffering from diarrhoea for weeks, triggered by worm and flea treatments and his first vaccination. Tests didn’t reveal anything either. His stomach and intestines just needed time to settle. Since we started feeding him this food, the diarrhoea stopped literally overnight. The food seems to taste good too, as he accepts it well.

Very good product
Due to a pancreatitis diagnosis, my cat was prescribed this product. Gastro Intestinal worked very well and quickly. The pancreatitis has healed, but he has a very sensitive stomach, so I always keep some of this food in stock at home.
Until now, I used to order GI from England. That’s why I’m pleased that GI is now available at Zooplus. I think it’s great, as I also order the other food for my cat from Zooplus.

Finally, no more vomiting
My cat is already very old and had poisoning. The vet prescribed her this food. Since then, she's been doing great.

Healthy growth
When we got our kitten Ernest we soon realised that he had digestive problems. As a tiny kitten he could empty a room with his wind and the tray was even worse. With this he has managed to grow normally and put on weight. He never had a tubby kitten belly and I wish we had found this sooner. He still needs the extra calories and I think he always will. He's the most expensive cat I have ever had but he is so full of energy and entertaining that we would never swap him for the world.

Good quality but not that appetising...
This is a great product with a really low calorie content, but I can't really say it appeals to my 2 cats... I think they really just ate it out of desperation. The sterilised version is much better, in my opinion - it's got a higher calorie content but it seems to taste better.

Royal Diabetic - nice food, good blood sugar levels
My cat's blood sugar is much better since she's been eating this food. There are even days when I don't have to inject her. I really recommend this!

fabulous food
My really picky 13 year old cat was diagnosed with Pancreatitis last year. He had a really tough time getting well and lost more than a kilo. This food is a god send and has been keeping his flare ups to a minimum - amazing food would highly recommend.

100% improvement with diarrhoea
Super product! Our kitty had chronic diarrhoea, presumably caused by coronaviruses, which will unfortunately likely stay with her for the rest of her life. She not only loves eating the Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal (wet + dry), but after about three days, there was no more diarrhoea for the first time. Other brands neither appealed to her nor helped. This food is worth every penny!

Great!
I'm pleasantly surprised,. My cat wasn't really fat but I wanted to prevent it going further. You know what it's like: When they're kittens you give them a little something when they ask for it and that's a mistake that I'm learning from now! Luckily he likes this food.

Super for diarrhoea
The vet recommended this food to me along with the corresponding dry food. My cats had diarrhoea for weeks, and no cause could be identified. From the moment they started eating this food, the diarrhoea was gone by the next day! 5*

Agrees with my cat
My cat likes eating this food and it agrees with her (no more diarrhoea since we changed her to this), so I'd recommend it.

Sometimes the last resort for cats with IBD
Great that I can finally get this food at Zooplus. Until now, I had been importing it from England due to the price. But with the annual discount, it now works out to the same price.
It’s the only food my IBD tomcat (chronic intestinal inflammation) can tolerate. Only with this food can I reduce his cortisone dose to an absolute minimum.

For post operative recovery
Following a major operation, my veterinary surgeon gave me a pack of 4 pouches of Royal Canin Veterinary Diet - Gastro Intestinal to feed my cat whilst she recovers. She is elderly and weighs just 3.2 kgs. The recommended feeding amount for this weight is 2.25 pouches per day and it is recommended that she continues with this diet for 2 - 3 weeks. My little one loves it and it's so heartening to see her enjoying her food. THANK YOU Zooplus for making it available.
