Lillebro Fat Balls Wild Bird Food Saver Pack

These balls are so hard the birds are ignoring them. Wont buy them again. What have they done to them to make them so hard?

The birds like these fat balls. I would have scored more highly if they were not in nets. Birds can get their feet caught in plastic netting. I cut the nets off before putting the balls in a feeder.

As a product this is wonderful. Birds love them and its great price. But unfortunately it is a nightmare for environment. There way too many nets. Would be wonderful if they get rid of all the individual nettings.

In August, I ordered the fat balls from ZOOplus for the first time. Our garden birds and we were very happy with the delivery, so I had to reorder already at the beginning of September. The "new" fat balls were not only mostly smaller, but also lighter in colour, and a lot of them just crumbled into a powdery mess on the garden floor! I would really like to get the same quality as the first delivery again!!

Unfortunately, a lot of the dumplings were squashed and could only be fed as crumbs. And only in the birdhouse, since they just fall through the feeder.

The batch of fat balls I ordered this year was completely different in quality compared to last year's. The crumbly balls were full of whole wheat grains, which the tits can't eat. As they pecked at the balls, the whole grains just fell to the ground, so most of the fat balls went to waste. Luckily, the bigger birds—doves, pigeons, and magpies—picked up the wheat from the ground. Fat balls with this kind of mix aren't suitable for feeding tits, so I won't be buying them again.

Too many grains are included that don't get eaten and end up on the ground, or later turn the garden into a cornfield.

I buy these things regularly. Unfortunately, the quality varies. Especially when the dumplings are just delivered in the box, I get the impression that the quality suffers compared to the times when all the dumplings are also packed together in a big plastic bag. Without the bag, there are a lot more crumbs, some of which even fall out through the box. It's definitely better with the bag.
